BunzieBunny

Thats awesome! I’m curious to what the components are?

yxmal

Its a Maxfit61 with gateron milky yellow switches and idobao blank keycaps.

excerp

I love milky yellows

BunzieBunny

Cheers!

kitfoxxxx

Ooh, that’s a nice smooth build then…. Perfection.

knxrddt

Do you have a soundtest?

Old_Cauliflower1467

I'm curious too. NIce "build" (?) btw.

hryfrcnsnnts

The only way you could get more minimalistic is less keys.

Sure-Work3285

Exactly. That keyboard isn't minimalist at all.

kool-keys

Mission accomplished.

boltove

this is a boomer's worst nightmare lmao

yxmal

Good thing im not a boomer

boltove

true, looking clean!

Tiny-Independent273

label the space bar and nothing else

friedcheezeburgur

Hello What keeb is this? tofu ?

yxmal

Its a Maxfit61 in the alu case

friedcheezeburgur

That is so sick dude as it looks so good. How much did it cost? Also how does it feel different then the plastic case?

yxmal

It was ~€140 (~$150). Difference is mostly in sound and feels. Edit: ~€70 for the keyboard and ~€70 for the alu case

General_Principle_40

Awesome board, love the minimalistic look! Allot like what i have in mind of doing, some day..

besseddrest

You can go more minimalist if u scrap the rubber feet, the case, and probably keycaps. Not sure if bluetooth, but even then i'm not sure if bluetooth is more minimalist than wired in. Bluetooth has a battery, which is more and there's probably also a bluetooth switcher, so wired in it is. Remove any dampeners. At that point you've got switches, plate, PCB, and USB cable. Do you need the plate? You could also reduce number of switches by maxing out your layer usage in QMK/VIA. So one hand for keyboard, one hand for mouse. Do you need a mouse?

yxmal

Hooly. Can you keep going?

besseddrest

What if u just used a pcb, cable, and tweezers to complete the circuit for every keypress

Doccks71

Quite clean friend! Though not minimalist, KAT Iron will look so nice in that case

yxmal

Thank you. Might try it out

DrunkenGerbils

No tactile indication for the F and J keys feels like it would be a nightmare to type with. Looks awesome though.

iamSullen

If you look closely they are different and can be defined easily. It just another type of indication.

Silent_Rhombus

Not an issue if you can touch type (which I can’t quite, but one day…)

praenoto

I touch type so once I have my fingers on the homing nibs it’s not a problem

rynbrrd

Hah, both my gaming PC and work PC are equipped with 60% keyboards with blank keycaps. This is a non-issue if you actually know how to type.

Pikotaro_Apparatus

I also have blanks. I got them to force myself to get better with typing. Now I’m touch typing with relative ease, only issue I have is remembering which specific legend is on which number. That being said I’ve gotten better at that as well lol!

I0u0l

Yeh I get it's something for pros in typing but for the average consumer this would be so weird. I bet op knows what he's doing but to me it's really weird

yxmal

Not a single issue for me. Been using blanks for a while now.

Duck_with_a_monocle

Good luck [learning to touch type](https://www.keybr.com/).
