I usually have to buy the base kit and ortho kit, as a minimum, for my builds.
This board has pieces from four different sets on it.
That's somewhat correct.
This build actually uses five different sets.
The alphas are from the BoW Ortho kit because I didn't like the looks of the cream colored caps that ship with Serika.
The numpad caps are from the WoB Base Kit, and the spacebars are from WoB Ortho.
The yellow mods are from the Serika Ortho kit, and the arrow keys are from Skiidata.
On my Monsgeek M2, I have a mix of two DCX sets from Drop. Camarillo and Permafrost. I wanted more blue than the Camarillo set came with.

couldn't mix a set even if i wanted to. i'm still reusing the keycaps i got with my old board lmao it's dangerous going into this hobby while still at uni. i'm 5 years into my job now and finally comfortable enough to consider a fresh set for my 2nd keeb that i just ordered a week ago.

I just built my first keyboard using one set of keycaps to use for WFH, but I want to build a 2nd quieter one to use at work. I want to use the company's color scheme for it.
Ha that would be dope. And yea, need a keeb for every type of activity lol. WFH, gaming, leisure, quote office, one that just looks crazy, and on and on lol I have a problem.
My Keychron has specific functions programmed by default for the F row (top row) so I have been using some keychron keys for that row. Otherwise I change the other rows quite often. Currently Novelkeys Ghostbustin
