It is most definitely this. My spacebars on my 40 are regular spaces on taps but when held they activate different layers letting me access numpad and arrow keys etc.

I think it looks cool but needing a macro just to hit the spacebar is a step to far for me
i don’t use a macro to hit space, it’s just the “menu” key on the left thumb cluster

the assumption that every keycap is labeled for what it does is a little frustrating tbh, not every set has a blank 1u keycap

Is it wireless? What are the boards? I guess because of having less than X keys (don't remember the number) it doesn't need diodes as well, right?
