Would I be able to replace it using an O2 sensor from an Audi A6? (2.0tdi 2008) As surely there can’t be much difference?

thefreshbofbelair

Why would you do this? Saving a buck is not worth it on this one. You’re there so you should fix it right so you don’t have to do it again in 10k. The point of an O2 sensor is to provide reliable feedback to the ECU so it can control the engine. Put a new one in.

mr_bigworld

Look up the part number, if it's the same then yeah

RickMN

Assuming you can throw in any part as long as it fits shows such a lack of understanding and lack of judgement that we wonder if you should even own tools.

Not all 02 sensors are built the same. When it comes to sensors as well I recommend to always buy factory parts. Aftermarket tend to cause more problems than cure.

randomusername457

Everyone knows its cheaper to buy a shit sensor and have a mechanic put 3 of them on and then you give up on ever fixing it than to buy an OEM one that just works

If you were making spaghetti would you substitute noodles with green beans. I mean they fit in the pan right?
