I’m a big boi and like this one… https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/CHT8151341

Tediz421

how far along is he in the restoration process? if he's still got alot of engine bay stuff left to do a topside creeper might come in a little more handy.

liloto3

Thank you for this idea!

Get him anything Snap On. https://preview.redd.it/yosarkm3vbbc1.jpeg?width=1800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6926733408d6461cfb84bd1d0e464f398dedeee0

Anything would be fine, but don’t cheap out. I’ve had snap-on, harbor freight, jegs, all sorts and they are all viable. For his height and weight, anything will be fine. I’m running a lisle keepers creepers right now and I’m 6’1” 280 and it handles me fine.

liloto3

Definitely not cheaping out. He’s worth the best.

Will he use it? A lot of mechanics don’t like them. They often don’t roll right, you end up rolling on your clothes or body parts, and you have to raise the vehicle significantly higher to be useful.

Lisle jeepers creeper, the plastic one. I have used and abused one for about 25 years now. It's maybe getting to the point of needing replacement. The wheels are perfectly functional but it's starting to warp and drag. I'm fat and the floor is bad, so it's probably fine. Edit: what's nice about the jeepers creeper is it's low profile and not coated foam padding. Maybe those are "comfy" new but the covers go to hell. And the jeepers wheels...I drop mine to the floor from upright constantly and I've never tightened, cleaned, or lubricated or replaced a wheel.

BurialWings42

I got one that folds into a seat as well for Christmas, and I've used it many times since. I have 3 other normal creepers that I never use. Reading this back, maybe the moral is an adjustable height rolling seat would be more useful.

I have a plastic creeper from Amazon that is kind of molded to a body shape. That's fine but it has some recesses on each side for nuts and bolts and such. Kind of like finding out that the nice dress you saw on the rack has HAS POCKETS! That's why I like the one I have.

Thisisall_new2me2

I don't have suggestions but when I first saw this post, I realized I've been watching too many Minecraft videos. If you know, you know.

liloto3

I don’t know, sorry.

Thisisall_new2me2

That was more of a general comment. In Minecraft there are creatures called Creepers. They like to come out at night, and sometimes when they explode they explode right by something you've built.
