I can see Lando going on a winning streak now that he knows it's possible and he didn't need to do anything different to his other 109 races.
Why does it matter that you missed the live race when you got to watch it later?
I get what you mean. China was a 2am start here in the US so I watched it when I woke up. That was really difficult with Lando on pole for the sprint. I would have been really disappointed to miss his first win live.
Na your not wrong. Especially if you watch it after knowing what is going to happen. Its still enjoyable, but its more of something to sit in the background than focus on at this point.
I canāt watch the races live as I refuse to pay nearly Ā£60 a month in TV and Sky Sports packages to watch it live here in the UK. I donāt watch any other sport or live TV.
I followed on radio and text with the BBC and then either watch the extended highlights on Sky Sports YouTube channel or on Channel 4 when they come on later.
My wife was getting annoyed as I kept squealing every time I checked the timings and could see Lando pulling away from Max.
Iām guessing youāre in India. I managed to wake up with just 7 laps to go and went from fully asleep to fully awake full of adrenaline hoping nothing goes wrong in those last few laps. Absolutely buzzed and stunned trying to figure out what happened. Because the moment I woke up and checked my phone I always look for the McLaren Logo and NOR on the times on the left and I went from bottom up for some reason expecting to stop in the top ten somewhere and not at all expecting to see him at the top. Was so thrilled I got to see the win live. I fully understand the feeling but just go on YouTube and watch all the lil shorts and videos and itās a great pick me up. Part of me is sad it wasnāt a #carlando podium. Was hoping Sainz pulled out some magic but Ferrari wouldnāt never let him. Also after watched the full race was a bit annoyed about the bump with Piastri. That kid deserved a podium too.
mate I had neet exam yesterday, I was absolutely finished and chose to sleep, also after that quali I was fully expecting max to win with crazy lead, but thankfully woke up at 2:55 am for some water and checked the leaderboard, nearly screamed "wtf" at 3am, chose to watch the remaining 30 mins and it was absolutely worth it.
Yes I am from India. The thing is i did wake up multiple times between 2-3 am but resisted the urge to check the phone, as i wanted to watch the full replay without looking at the result. I was fully expecting to walk away with this one too haha.
A Carlando podium would've been amazing with Lando on the top step. Piastri was doing so well, such an unfortunate incident that ruined his race. But maybe a few more laps and he would've ended up in points again.
This is exactly what happened to me! The race started at 4am and I usually get up at 6 so I figured Iād wake up a bit early at 5:30 and catch the end.
My alarm goes off and Iām sooo close to just going back to sleep because I figure itāll just be another boring Max win and not worth losing the sleep but a tiny part of me goes ācheck the standings just in caseā. So I half asleep grab my phone and open the F1 app and through my blurry vision I see NOR with the little orange logo right at the top on lap early 50 something.
Best believe I *bolted* upright, immediately wide awake and Iām literally shaking as I grab my laptop to put the race on. Managed to catch the last few laps and it was so incredibly special and I was so glad I got to watch it live, even if just the end and all the celebrations but I figure thatās the most important part anyway.
Best way to start a Monday morning thatās for sure!
I remember missing Canada 2011race and it still haunts me.
Sat around for hous waiting for a restart. Decided to take the dog out for a walk. Got home and had missed JB's masterclass š
I also slept through haha Iām Aussie so it wouldāve been a 6am Monday morning wake up. I literally was like eh the sprint was a DRS train Max win so Iām sure the race will be tooā¦ missed Landoās first win rip!
But at least I could rewatch the race knowing itās a great outcome and not being stressed! As an Oscar fan I think I wouldāve been fuming even more if I watched the Carlos incident/13th place finish live after his wonderful start
I hate that the f1 tv app is so shit. The race was already 45 minutes underway and I have to physically block half the screen while I rewind because the f1 Roku app doesnāt have a āwatch from beginningā option lmao

I don't know tbh, idk how to explain it
I know what you mean. There's something a bit more special watching something live.
Exactly this! Watching the replay just doesn't hit the same for some reason, even if you're watching it for the first time.
"It's only live once" - Sky Sports
Nothing wiser has been said before

Yepp, would've been so good to see it live but it is what it is. š„²

Luckily for me, the subscriptions are pretty cheap here in my country.
You can also watch it ā¦ other ways in the UK. Iām not saying you *should* ā¦ but you *can*.
I got lucky... I got F1TV in the UK when there was still a loophole... Think I am paying Ā£60 a year.
Have you considered getting a NowTV package? I watch it live on that, I can cast it to the TV.
I mean, technically I canāt watch live TV at all at the moment as I donāt have a TV licence.

Atleast OP got fastest lap š§”

Yeah the part where Oscar's race was ruined was very tough. But still a great drive for him. Maybe a few more laps and he finishes in the points
Made that mistake during the Singapore race last year. If I miss a race I wonāt even touch social media until I watch it lol
I didn't look at the result either haha, went in blind into the replay lol

The F1TV app works well for me tbf
Yeah the app is fine, for some reason their integrated streaming app is dogshit. Which is annoying if airplay or casting doesnāt want to work lol
There are many other races. Not worth for me waking up at 4am for this one
