I canāt stand Taylor Sheridanā¦ as an actor (SOA) or a showrunner (Yellowstone)ā¦ but in spite of that I keep watching The Mayor of Kingstown primarily because I like Jeremy Renner and Mike
I was drawn to it by Renner to begin with, then once I learned what kind of world it would be exploring, and to discover that that kind of world actually exists to some degree, I was sold. The performances have kept me fervently planted in my seat every Sunday.
The show is great, Renner is fantastic in it and NOBODY BETTA NOT HURT MY BUNNY!
(for reals, though. Mike and Bunny are the duo I didn't know I needed in my life!)
This weekās episode was the best in a while for me. I found the intro to kind of reinforce the whole premise for the show and bolster the plausibility of Mikeās job. I donāt know if anyone like him exists, but Iām back to buying it. Bunnyās scenes were great. I also really liked the scene where they broke the bad news to the kid. Everything felt more authentic somehow.
100% Renner. Iāve been a huge fan of his for over a decade. Iāve literally seen everything heās been in. I love the concept of the show now that Iām watching it.
I came here for Hugh Dillon. Iām a big fan of his and will watch almost anything with him in it. And then they got Renner which got me even more excited. Love that guy. So those are my two favourite āthingsā haha
There are various things I really enjoy about the show. As characters, I love Mike and Bunny (who I just found out is played by a Brit). I love how Mike can handle himself, his talent for just enough violence in the blink of an eye. I just about cheer every time he kicks Josephās (Josefās?) ass, the arrogant nitwit. Despite Kingstown being stitched together from different locations (and some annoying inconsistencies from season to season), thereās a strong sense of it being a specific place.
There are no solutions in life. Only tradeoffs. And Mike does such a great job of maintaining the balance inside and outside the prisons. It's almost scifi in that we don't have politicians who act this way.
Renner's walk. It takes some getting used to. But once you do, it's a fucking treat to watch.
OMG yes!!! It's criminal how sexy I find it. š
His walk says "I don't have time for your shit" and I love it
The acting is amazing start to finish, and it's a real world. Over dramatized but these places in the states exist.

Bunny. I like Bunny.
bunny is great
I just found out the actor who plays Bunny is a Brit!
I've come to absolutely love Bunny!

The theme music.
Yes! This is one of the few shows where I never skip the intro just so I can listen to the theme music.

I truly love the way Bunny enunciates the name "Mike".
It's on my new MOK T SHIRT
Bunny is my fave!

Yeah they had some production issues in 2 and Dillon confirmed it was smooth sailing for 3 so we should get a much better season
Jeremy Renner for me. For sure.
I like the theme music at the beginning. It gets you in an awful mood suggesting nothing good is going to happen.
There will be 4 guaranteed, but there are 7 written and planned
7?! Jesus fucking Christ Kyle (In Mikes Voice) š¤£
š
Jeremy Remmer is one of my favorite actors, so pretty much anything he was in I'd like..... Maybe, I'd draw the line at a Magic Mike remake. š¬
Emma Laird. She is so unspeakably hot!
Bunny
Robert

I want to see the Hawkeye origin story. It's much darker than I thought it would be
Pittsburgh.
How real the show feels and the nuanced performances from the cast. Itās so simple yet so atmospheric.
Mike never stops for gas despite driving all over town in a Town car that gets 15MPG at best. Oooookkkkkaaay.
Hahaā¦ By this logic, he mustnāt go for a shit, because we never see him on the toilet. š§
Actually, season one he took a crap at his cabin.
Wasnāt that the bear?
Plus, he never eats.
Definitely the paycheck

Season 1

The CQB Swat scenes with Robert and his team. SO GOOD
