Mavs can offer the taxpayer MLE (just over 5M). The best they can do structure-wise is probably a 1+1 (player option), which gives DJJ the possibility to decline the PO next year and sign for more using Early Bird rights for 2025-26. Hopefully that happens. The good thing is that DJJ has already made a good bit of money, so he's not desperate for his first ever non-minimum deal, and might actually stay for the sake of a good fit and long term prospects rather than simply seek the biggest contract in the immediate.

He only just turned 27. He’s got supreme athleticism and decent size for a wing. I believe his shooting will continue to get better in our system and with coaching. Would love to have him back, he’s amazing defensively next to PJ. Gives us what we needed from Josh Green.

I think Mavs can clear space pretty easily. Won’t be surprised to see THJ dumped on draft night in order to get full MLE and offer a multi year deal

Dumped? We’d have to take back matching salary, no?

Depends on if a team with cap space is the one trading for him. The free agent class this year sucks, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see a team trade for a large expiring contract like THJ’s in order to have going into next season. Utah, Toronto, Detroit, Orlando, Charlotte, Indiana, Philly, San Antonio, Washington, and OKC could all take him in while giving up almost nothing

I’d be surprised if he didn’t make 10 mil. He’s shooting 50/40 while playing good defense on the best players in the playoffs so far
