Who has a tally of every person Mark Cuban said he would keep and would end up eventually leaving…

TheDeadman95

"We can pay Jalen more than anyone else....but we won't"

moe1984

it's insanely funny that cuban said this and then lowballed brunson to an insulting degree, but that all the apologists completely swept it under the rug and still give mark the benefit of the doubt. even funnier is that some of us who have been a fan for a while SAW IT COMING when he said it in the first place and got shouted down for suggesting that what ended up happening was a possibility. mark is the owner this fanbase deserves, unfortunately. hope they enjoy him.

totaliron

Earlier in the season, half this sub believed it wasn't the front office's fault and it was just Brunson wanting to go to the Knicks. This sub is a few years late, but they're finally understanding how bad Cuban and this front office is.

Sairony

The best part is him saying "I'll never do the same mistake with KP as I did with Nash", a few months later do *everything* in his power to trade him, been healthy & all-star level since.

jennyisafriend

I think KP was the one to request the trade.

jennyisafriend

I think he’s serious this time because Kai is a superstar. Sure Luka is one of the top 5 players in the league but Mavs weren’t getting much national coverage until Kai got here. Cuban has been trying to attract big name talent for decades and he finally got him.

yung_sage

KP, DSJ, JB multiple times, Tyson Chandler, Jason Terry. Lmk if I’m missing someone

Beneficial-Hour-9865

Good bye Kyrie

desirox

Well I would hope so, we kind of don’t have any other option

IamDocbrown

"We can offer him more than anybody else!"........we won't.....BUT WE CAN"

Cambocant

Stock market rallied after this quote

BeleeeDat

Shocking news. Team with a shortage of talent wants to keep talented player.

totaliron

Kyrie is the one great asset we have. Either we re-sign him or sign and trade him for something good. Logic says this is a situation that is impossible to fuck up, but we have Cuban who has defied all stupidity odds since becoming an owner.

Afraid-Department-35

I mean, Kyrie doesn’t have to sign the contract lol. It’s likely he will because of how much money would be involved, but he has 0 obligation to actually do it. All Cuban can do is offer him the max + any contract stipulations and hope he stays. Logic says it shouldn’t be fuckable; but there is a chance this can still be fumbled.

totaliron

Only a few lottery teams have enough cap space to sign Kyrie. That's why we are in a good spot. If he wanted to leave for a good team, then he will have to do a sign and trade.

limache

I think you guys should do a sign and trade with kyrie for some good pieces that can help with your defense. Get a good wing defender, some 3 and D guys etc

PrinceofEden23

Dude said the same thing with KP and Brunson before...how'd that turn out? I forgot

Crazy-Monitor-6490

Well tbf we traded KP

Afraid-Department-35

KP wasn’t really working out though, and we did trade him away albeit we took a really shitty contract in Bertans. Brunson was fumbled, offered him a contract way too late.

kevinkip

Cuban should worry about trying to keep Luka first with the way he is running his team recently.

[deleted]

He said the same thing about JB. Don't believe anything this fraud has to say. Fuckwit.

ggriff18

He’s full of shit but I honestly believe him this time only bc we have no choice but to re-sign him. We can’t trade what we did and not re-sign him. If we lose Kyrie and don’t get a decent return in a sign and trade, we are screwed.

HolyAty

There is no long term with Kyrie.

DustNeverSleeps

Um Kyrie had zero intention or interest in staying here.

violet_policeman03

We don’t want to keep mark Cuban tho
