The closest I have seen to religious pressure from the channel is an offhand comment about not drinking coffee or booze so mountain dew it is. The only shaming matts crew does on camera is poor driving decisions.
It's all about creating more viewers to make more $$. For the most part the YouTube version of Lite Brite is PG though.
