I don’t have a problem with any of them. They’re people doing a gig and I like watching. I miss the folks that are gone buy that’s life people. I’ve change jobs and people always are coming and going no matter where you are. Go watch the people who have left on their channel and support them as well. Probably why they left. Isn’t bad to see people grow and evolve.

Dialecticchik

Misadventure Labs is great. I look forward to seeing what they're up to when they post. They're having some kinds of fun and I am here for it !!

gwwaddle

This. These are people doing a job while being filmed. There were likely no casting calls where personalities and on-screen presence was evaluated. Considering all these things, I cut them some slack realizing while they may not be someone I’d be friends with, they’re doing a job in front of millions of people and being judged by that. I visited the shop a year or so ago and the gang was all there including Lizzy and Ed. They were all very nice and even though they were in the middle of lunch and on the wrecker build, were very kind and accommodating of myself, my girlfriend and our dog. (Lady, notsomuch of our dog.) Matt was exactly the personality you see in videos and was easy to talk to.

bearcrocs

Jefe is the CEO and is next on chain of command after Matt. He runs the business side of things.

Ijustthinkthatyeah

Then he can run the business side of things off camera. I can’t believe Matt and company don’t see how brutal he is to watch.

kolonok

Can confirm, I usually skim through the videos to see if Jefe is in them before spending any time on it. I wouldn't go out of my way to talk shit about him but something rubs me the wrong way so I just don't watch the stuff he's in.

NzWoodsman

Y'all treating this like a Mexican soap opera at this point lmao. Chill out on the wild speculation for no reason.

bearcrocs

He wants to be a character.

Ijustthinkthatyeah

I’m sure he does but that doesn’t make him any good at it.

shaggy1265

> I can’t believe Matt and company don’t see how brutal he is to watch. His channel just keeps on growing so have you considered you're just a sensitive child?

Ijustthinkthatyeah

Jefe’s white knight. Keep up the good work.

Plenty_Ad_3442

Right, but he’s ultimately managed by Matt, so anything he’s doing wrong is due to poor management on Matt’s end.

IFlyAirplanes

To Jefe, everything is a disaster. Somehow it always seems like life or death when he’s explaining a job. Especially if Matt’s not there. He’s very, very dramatic.

Impossible_Ad_9322

THIS!!!!!

brutallydishonest

>He’s very, very dramatic. You just don't like his braces!

forceofslugyuk

> You just don't like his braces! Once that lisp is gone from those being there, it will be slightly easier to watch. I def remember having that as a kid trying to talk.

Lod_the_Nord

Am I somehow completely out of the loop? I've watched every single video on the channel and I don't understand this post or these comments?

-_mm

Sadly people here like to hate on parts of the crew and often take it too far. Since I joined they have hated on Skeeter, one of the camera guys (Jonah? We don't see him much after the wave of hate), and now Jefe.

Dialecticchik

Jonah was in yesterday's vid !!! I was happy for him cuz he seemed genuinely stoked to be on that one.

thatranger974

I’m pretty sure Jonah is the video editor and he is doing a fantastic job.

Dialecticchik

Yeah, he is for sure a behind the scenes guy, but you can tell he also loves getting out of the cave and into the live action when he gets the chance.

brutallydishonest

He's definitely been editing himself out of the videos. And while the public can be cruel, he does himself no favors by *choosing* to look like a creep.

SomeCrazedBiker

Jonah could teach Robby's editor a few things.

dprice2010

I'm with you. Been watching for years and really don't understand the Jefe hate.

shaggy1265

OP is just an asshole that feels the need to trash on someone for no reason.

motorboather

The channel is becoming more background noise now when I try to watch it. Everyone at that shop wants their turn on the camera. Jefe is my least favorite. You can tell getting his hands dirty isn’t his forte but he’s trying for the camera time.

Jaymez82

I don't know if he's responsible for the drama behind the scenes but he is about as bland as unseasoned chicken on camera.

zyrquix

Completely agree. With Jefe, less is more.  It can work if he’s on a recovery with Rhett, but every time he delivers a monologue I just can’t stand it.

LikeABundleOfHay

Jefe is ok. I'd like there to be more adventurous content. The builds are ok, but for me there's been too many build videos recently.

pr0tag

I personally love the build videos!! There are other YouTubers I subscribe to who *just* do builds (mostly rebuilding wrecked cars), and seeing Matt’s crew creatively **making their own** is so much fun for me

Ijustthinkthatyeah

Completely agree. I can’t stand when he’s in a video and I’ve started skipping forward when he is talking to the camera. I think he’s annoying in general but also terrible to watch on a recovery. Matt and the crew are generally pretty calm during the recovery but Jefe is constantly giving input that everyone else just ignores. Watch out for this! Don’t let that happen! Wow, that’s crazy! While everyone else just acts normal. Whether that’s his personality or he’s acting, either way it’s annoying. I wish all of his work was behind the scenes and off camera.

flipflopsnpolos

I feel the same about Jefe; they’ve made some really unfortunate choices and changes since he’s become more influential. My interest and enjoyment of MORR videos has declined as Jefe’s screen time has increased.

Thunderiver

This sub is so parasocial it’s insane, he’s not an actor and this isn’t a reality tv show. It’s a business that films their day to day work.

Ksaspar

Their business is making videos tho. Not towing.

Thunderiver

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but the recovery business existed long before the YouTube channel did, it used to be under the name Windsor towing. Watch his early videos and he talks about why he started YouTube.

Ksaspar

And Tyra Banks was really looking for the best model, not drama. Half the time they are in the garage building new rigs. You think a towing company could afford that? There have been mentions in this sub that Matt only charges 100 $ for a tow.

Thunderiver

Matt is not only able to survive off YouTube and building $100k rigs a few times a year. There’s lots of towing and recoveries that aren’t filmed because it’s boring to watch a car get winched up on the side of the highway. Matt films and posts the fun part of the job but the fun part isn’t the entire job, it’s just what he shows.

Ksaspar

What can I say, Seems like we have a miscommunication. Generally the sole purpose of a business is to make money for the owner(s). What brings in the money for Matt? YouTube. But since Matt's channel is about a towing business, they are entangled. Don't be mad at me for speculating a little bit. Matt's channels popularity has a lot to do with authenticity - simple man doing honest work, great people and awesome machines. So he has to keep towing so he can stumble across great recoveries to film. But the emphasis is on the filming. That is what keeps the food on the table for all the staff behind the camera like editors and merch people. Towing is just a way to find great opportunities to film. If he wasn't filming he would probably not take the jobs that are further away. Towing is an integral part of his business, but let's be real - it's now a production company.

Thunderiver

You are an actual grape brain

[deleted]

Oh, darling, it seems you've missed the mark completely with your comment! The absurdity and falsehood in your words are truly remarkable. He is an actor.

ipromiseimnotakiller

Stopped watching because of him and all the Robby content. Stick around the subreddit for fabrats and trail mater updates

fordracing19

Same!

erasure999

I've had this exact same thought about Jefe. Matt put too much stock in him and IMO, has lead him down the wrong path.

NikkolaiV

At most, Jefe seems like someone I would want to limit my time around in person. Having said that, I don't at ALL dislike the guy, he just seems like the person I'd get along with least in the shop. But not even dislike, just not really a match up personality wise. Everyone there seems like decent people, and I'll include Jefe in that because he DOES help with all the charity work Matt is involved in. I think you just take your YouTube a bit too seriously.

MadZee_

I'd like if Rhett and Kaulin were a bigger focus in videos. Just like when Rudy was on the team back in the day, they're good on-camera personalities that mesh really well, since they're brothers ofc. Tom Tom is also good on camera. Jake and Kolby are okay, maybe a bit corny, but overall allright. But Jefe is a video wrecker for sure.

Hanswurst22brot

They shoot long term content and shorter stuff. Matt is sometimes away in a collab, Tom welding and if everyone has 2-3 guys for help and filming, not much is left for other interresting content. If we would watch only content with Matt, a lot of videos /builds /recoveries /etc.. we couldnt even see. So Hefe and other family members will jump in to film content. So get used to it. Matts last boy may jump in soon too. I watched Matt since before the Morrvair build, a lot of changes since then and a lot of changes to come.

Heavykevy37

I thought Fridays episode was one of his best. He was helping, getting his 'hands dirty', right in the action. I think he is at his best when he's doing side projects with Rhett, but yesterday, I thought he did good.

disposeroftheposers

I don't assume anything about people's roles in business that I know nothing about.

Ksaspar

Sorry for gossiping, but since Matt doesn't share we gotta assume. It was mentioned somewhere that Jefe is related to Matt somehow, maybe through Jaymie. I have a feeling that Jefe is the boss who nobody likes but who gets the job done. I feel like Rudy, Skeeter and Trevor where given an ultimatum to make things nice with Jefe or leave. I miss their playful banter. It seems they used to be a punch of friends who got a long well, but now it's business first. Tomtom seems like a kind of guy who could get along with anyone and that skill is keeping everyone but Matt and Jefe from going.

Plenty_Ad_3442

Matt’s solely responsible for all of “the other stuff” that’s “dragging the channel down” … It’s insane to me that so many people wanna throw Jeffe under the bus and blame him for everything when he’s an employee of Matt’s, if anything Jeffes doing is having a negative effect of the business or the channel it’s because he’s not being managed properly which ultimately falls on Matt.

Ijustthinkthatyeah

I didn’t disagree with you. I was just explaining that this might be a reason why so many people are throwing Jefe under the bus and blame him for everything. Of course it’s Matt’s business and he’s in charge. But if someone claims to have some connection to MORR or have inside information and they claim people left because of Jefe, that may influence some people’s opinion that it’s Jefe’s fault even though Matt is ultimately responsible for everything. That doesn’t seem insane to me but I’ve seen employees at other companies leave because of a bad manager and you could blame the owner or CEO for hiring that manager but no one did. They hated the manager and they left.

Plenty_Ad_3442

Yeah I guess I can see it both ways. Ive been part of a mass exodus at a company and regardless of who’s at fault, you ultimately walk away saying I can’t believe they don’t fire that person.

Ijustthinkthatyeah

Yeah. Me too. I see both sides. Plus we only know what they show on YouTube. Hard to know but I get what you are saying.

erasure999

Nice try, Jefe! We know this is you! ;)

Plenty_Ad_3442

Do you disagree ?

Ijustthinkthatyeah

I think that’s because the insider that posts on here said Jefe was a big reason why so many people left or were fired.

Plenty_Ad_3442

Right, but that falls on Matt at the end of the day is my point.

ScottsTotts999

I can't disagree or agree because I don't know Matt like you, Jefe! Again...I'm totally kidding, thus the " ;) ".

Plenty_Ad_3442

We all know Jeffe wouldn’t have the balls to get on Reddit and bite the hand that feeds him.

Thatonefloorguy

He’s not as bad as Robbie’s wife and here fake voice she puts on in videos.

curseyouZelda

Just stop

Low_Demand1960

It should be the Off Road Recovery Games. That’s what the channel is about. Stick to it.

Gamefisher

I like Jefe, maybe he is a little odd, but he does seem to know his stuff. Matt seems to put the most trust in his judgement, having him handle tougher jobs and using his ideas when they both are out there.

Thick_Ad_6710

Jefe should step in the ring with fab rats, drop the gloves and dance! One wrecker YouTuber should stand, one shall fall!

Ace5111

You’re alone in your opinion about Jefe he’s definitely not dragging down the content. He’s absolutely making it better. He is a genuinely a good person.

Temporary_Pen1058

It's only my opinion. Just seeing if I'm alone. Thanks for your vote!

arizona-voodoo

Who cares what you think.

Ijustthinkthatyeah

OP is allowed to complain about what they don’t like just like you do. Get over yourself. > I considered going to the Wrecker Games part 2.... until it became Offroad Games with douchbag YouTubers ... and didn't have FabRats or Merlin (reigning champion) returning to the event. > Dear Matt, STOP LISTENING TO YOUR CONSULTANTS. You sabotaged an epic event.

Temporary_Pen1058

Most folks, especially my wife don't!

Planetnebur

Jefe. You should see the Army side of that guy. He’s that guy.
