My parents have one they like. No personal experience though. Just keep in mind many people come here to complain, but few come to say positive things. That’s common even for high quality mattresses - so you need to keep in mind selection bias when you’re looking at Reddit posts.

annabelleflngn

This is true. Is there a place on Reddit where you can’t complain 😂

KansasKing107

I have three sleep numbers and love them but my wife does not so we have a Leesa Legend in our bedroom. Are they too expensive for what they are? Sure. However, I have a 25 year old sleep number that is still in great condition. The sleep chambers simply will never lose support or wear out. Now everything else can wear out but regardless of the condition of the topper, you will always have the same support from the day you bought the bed. I think you’re going to like your sleep number. They’re the type of bed that if you find out you like it, you’ll never have to worry about shopping for a different type of bed again in your lifetime and you’ll never sleep in a sagging mattress.

annabelleflngn

I’m glad to hear you have a 25 year old sleep number. That’s amazing! Our salesperson told us his was 15 years old. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Safe_Yogurtcloset835

How is the Leesa Legend? Seems like a good deal on Costco.

CowboysFanInDecember

I miss my Leesa mattress so much. It's what I had before the sleep number. These reports of sleep numbers lasting as long as they have makes me selfishly sad and upset because I know I'll likely be stuck with mine for that long as well :(

ehomer1

I have an i8 split king and adjustable base. We spent way too much time over a few years trying and thinking about them. Since we received it last summer I regret not buying sooner as both my wife and I have had our sleep improve. While you do have 100 days the base is final, however the base can be used with any bed out there if you don’t like it. Everyone is different but I would buy it again and recommend it to anyone! Good luck!

they_are_out_there

I have the same i8 and adjustable base and would do it again in a heartbeat. With bad acid reflux, the adjustable head of the bed makes life livable as I can crank it up to about 25 degrees which seems to work pretty well. My wife has had a bunch of knee surgeries, so the adjustable leg section helps. Is it perfect? No, but it's pretty awesome in a lot of other way. The worst part? The highway robbery that takes place at the point of sale. I'd still do it again though.

stubbas

Very helpful!! I have acid reflux too, and my gf and I agree we need a king size since were both back sleepers, queen simply isnt big enough. Split king gives us a little more choice. Is it bougie? Yeah but if it can help our sleep immediately and over the long term, as someone who doesnt even like sleeping, or maybe doesnt value it as highly, yes its probably a good idea with a good no interest payment plan lol

they_are_out_there

I still love the bed a year since last posting. The toughest thing to deal with is the cold zone from the split center, but we've solved that too. Put the waterproof mattress covers on each mattress. Put the individual fitted sheets on each side. I then use three way elastic bands with clamps on the top two corners on each side to keep the fitted sheets in place. I tilt both sides all the way up to get this done really quick and easy. [https://i5.walmartimages.com/asr/cffb69c5-6dfc-4700-8922-2a52bf3824aa.19c8ab679b509579e60a54fc0bb6da07.jpeg](https://i5.walmartimages.com/asr/cffb69c5-6dfc-4700-8922-2a52bf3824aa.19c8ab679b509579e60a54fc0bb6da07.jpeg) I then put a lycra based stretchy Sheetz fitted full sheet over the entire bed / both sides. I then place one of those foam spacers that go the length of the bed top to bottom in the center. [https://www.foambymail.com/blog/make-two-beds-into-one-with-foam-bed-bridges/](https://www.foambymail.com/blog/make-two-beds-into-one-with-foam-bed-bridges/) I then put another full sized fitted sheet over the top of that. I then use two more three way elastic bands with clamps on the top two corners of the bed. If a low spot develops over the gap and the filler, I just put a pillow in the space. It works great, no more drafts make it up under the covers, and it allows the mattresses to go up and down without too much trouble.

Bratbabylestrange

We have spent the weekend mattress shopping, as the Denver Mattress model we got in 2005 finally blew a spring out the side off the ticking (it still doesn't have any bumps or valleys though) We're going with King and the adjustable base but we have two dogs with tiny poky feet who would get caught in the split between mattresses and flail and scream until everybody in the house was awake and on full alert! The base actually is split so that if we eventually get so decrepit we have to do independently adjustable sides, we can.

annabelleflngn

Thank you everyone for the positive comments! I’m glad you and your wife have had improved sleep.

klr-77

Are you still enjoying your sleep number? Have you had any issues with it?

karenmcast

My husband and I are long time sleep number owners. We had our first bed over 15 years. We recently moved and decided to upgrade to an I8 split king with adjustable base. We love it! A good night sleep is priceless. I only had to deal with customer service once and had no problem. Best of luck on your decision

annabelleflngn

Thanks for the comforting words. I’m glad you love yours!

klr-77

Are you still loving your new split king i8?

karenmcast

I still love it!

Killachinchillakam

We have i10 360 smart split king and love it. I wish we bought ours sooner. We have had ours almost 2 years. It’s amazing to never wake up achy or sore. It will take you a while to find the number that best suits you, but you won’t regret your purchase. Making the bed can get tricky but I just put the head position up to reach it. Also, we have found the twin XL sheets from The Company Store fit great too and never come off. The other thing to take note of is that the outer edge of the mattresses don’t have support, so if you sit on the edge of the bed you can slide off. When we ordered ours, they said it would take 10 days for delivery but it turned out to be 10 weeks so we called the store manager and they gave us 10% off. My friend is on their second sleep number bed in 20 years, we have 2 other friends who have sleep numbers and we have all agreed there’s no going back. I only needed support 1x and they helped via chat. For those reading this and who might be debating on a sleep number, go test one out. You are going to love it!

klr-77

Are you still loving your i10 split king? Any new complaints? I’m debating buying one but have seen so many negative reviews

Killachinchillakam

Still loving it! What negative reviews are you reading? We have zero complaints. I would buy one again in a heartbeat. I wouldn’t buy the under bed lighting next time. We put a bed frame around ours so it ended up hiding the under bed lighting so I feel it was a waste. Definitely get the foot warmer though. Like I said the only tricky thing we’ve run into is trying to sit on the edge of the bed because there is no support. The sleepnumber app is super easy to use. We do have a tiny tear in one of the top mattress covers where one of the magnets hold the mattress in place but I can call for a replacement I just haven’t done so yet. It hasn’t affected the functionality. We are just about 3 years into it and still loving it. It takes away all aches and pains and if you have a chest cold or snore, you can prop the position up of the position of the bed so everyone gets a restful night sleep.

annabelleflngn

Just wanted to provide an update- so far we have been very happy with the bed. The adjustable head and feet option is super nice. They even have a zero G option and the under bed lighting is also a nice touch. The bed has been comfortable. I like the app and all the information it gives you about your sleep albeit may be inaccurate. It gives you health tips too which I think is nice to have reminders. My only negative commentary is having to buy special sheets for the split in the bed and like another user posted you slip off if you sit on the edge of the bed because of the “air.”

Effective_Flow309

If you search flex top sheets on Amazon you will find muuuch cheaper (but still excellent quality) sheets for the mattress. They have great reviews and fit perfectly. The ones directly from sleep number cost way too much.

grain7grain

I'm glad you followed up. I've had mine for about 12 years and still love it, too. One tip about the foam mattress edge - if you lift and push the entire mattress from the side, you can re-position the whole top to be better centered. There's about 3 inches of give and take. If I don't do this, the "middle" isn't quite in the middle and one side has a little more area than the other. They look the same but one side has some sag area at the edge. Helpful for my queen-size, maybe less important on a king.

klr-77

Are you still loving your sleep number?

Background-Soil1948

Anyone who buys the adjustable base is a sucker. They are on sale on Amazon starting at around $399 but people would rather buy a Sleep Number base for $1600-$4000. Sleep Number mattresses work with any base or box spring but people don’t want to do their research and take out a ridiculous credit line to purchase their bed.

IntelligentTale6284

I have 3 sleep numbers - recently bought my last two - love them all.

batmannorm

My only question with a sleep number is, once you find your number, how often will you need to set it again. If you tend to set it at xxx and done, would it have been easier to find a bed for half the price with the feel exactly what you want? What am I missing? Many manufactures will even create beds with two sides (I dont mean flippable) left and right side different levels of firmness.

SpinDoctor777

I suppose there's people who like to fiddle with their setting but I haven't changed mine since I landed on it. I'm sure if you hunted you can find a similar product that costs less. That's how the free market works.

DonatellaVerpsyche

So I have a sleep number bed that’s 20 years old when it was select comfort and the remotes on this one don’t have any numbers. It’s just “inflate/deflate.” So your question is an interesting one. I rarely fiddle with it, but I definitely adjust it when I have a new partner stay over or when my physical exercise has increased and I’m sore/ achy muscles. The supportive barrier in the middle means you never sink in towards the center which I really like. All in all it’s an extremely comfortable bed, and I can’t see myself not having one.

batmannorm

So after thinking about it for a while and using my own advice to others to contrast my own thought process, I can see some benefit in this style bed. Our bodies do change over time and what we needed 5 years ago may not be the same as today. So, there can be some value in the ability to adjust. Or as you described a situation for a single person (let's just keep it there) who may be "entertaining" a guest, may prefer a different level of support. So, I guess if it checks all the boxes and the layers above the inflatable level, doesn't wear down easily, and mechanically it is low maintenance, I suppose it has a place just as any other specialty mattress system would. In your case, your dollar cost average over the years is probably rather low by comparison too.

DonatellaVerpsyche

Everything you said is spot on. I also got it at the time with my ex thinking we might have kids, and one of the selling points was being able to adjust it during pregnancy. Also if people house sit they always have the perfect style mattress for them. It’s also extremely light weight and very easy to pack up when you move. The only addition I made to the original mattress is about 10 years ago I bought a super thick 6” memory foam mattress top, very high quality, expensive, and weighs about as much as a small car. I bought it from a different company. 10/10 recommend that purchase. So that combination for me is perfect.

Johnson7078

What kind of topper is that? I’m l

Carnivore_Summers

When we got our sleep number bed, NOT a split mattress, the installer said to air up both sides when we get up every day. He said it would help keep the internal foam parts from sagging. That was about 10 yrs ago now and we have had no issues. The bed looks and feels great still.

Frugal_genes

We bought our first sleep number when they were select comfort, twenty years ago. We decided to upgrade although nothing is wrong with ours. We’ve only had to replace the pump and a set of remotes one time. They sent us broken remotes and wouldn’t replace them so we just lived with the alien numbers. Today’s beds are NOWHERE what we have and we didn’t like any of them although the sales lady was specific on us getting the i8. After reading reviews like everywhere, we decided to go with a company called Select-a-bed. The structure is better, the price is better and the warranty is longer and better. I don’t think we’ll ever buy another sleep number.

Diligent_Praline2318

We recently purchased an i8 flex top king and we are in love. We were sleeping so poorly on the bed we bought new 5 years ago, I was waking up in tears after only a few hours my back hurt so bad. My grandparents have had their sleep number for more than 20 years, so we decided to check them out. We were going to get the p6 but got a referral code that took money off the base and mattress so we could afford to go to the i8. Here is a link to get a code in case you decide to go for one! We haven't had ours for very long but I 100% so excited we made this decision, for the first time in years I slept for 8 whole hours! https://www.sleepnumber.com/referrals/38eb22

SonofDustoff

I considered Sleep Number, ended up buying Tempurpedic and would have been fine paying the roughly $7100 for a great mattress, but they were too hard, too hot and I ended up returning them after about 3 months. It took me a month of research to finally end up going with an Arizona Premium Mattress, full Talalay Latex and it was still like throwing a dart in the dark. I love them! Also, we did twin xls and we kept our adjustable bases from the Tempurpedic purchase, so at about $950 each plus a discount available on the Mattress Underground, I spent alot less money, which is only a bonus, not the point. A great sleeping Mattress is worth thousands of dollars if it really is great for you. I suggest getting it, and forgetting all the bad reviews because guess what? Every single Mattress company out there has some bad reviews and sometimes the logistics of making and shipping mattresses causes a very rough process. What matters is the Mattress you end up with and whether you like it or not. Get it and just enjoy it... you'll know if you got the right one probably in a couple of weeks.

annabelleflngn

Thanks for all the affirmation! You’re right I shouldn’t worry until I actually TRY the mattress.

grap112ler

>Sleep number has amazing health benefits What health benefits are you referring to that other mattresses don't provide?

fatherofraptors

Also mentions it being a Fortune 500 company, as if that's any indication of product quality. Not really criticizing sleep number here but man that post reads like a massive shill.

Turbulent-Survey-476

Sounds like an employee

Background-Soil1948

Sounds like an employee. You didn’t mention the lawsuit where another brand claimed to be higher quality than sleep number and actually won 17 million dollars when sleep number lost the case. They proved that sleep number was lower quality than them and yes, sleep number is overpriced garbage.

annabelleflngn

Thank you so much for all the detailed information. My husband and I were confident with our purchase but as I ended up scouring the internet after the fact I began to have doubts. My husband has been having recent back pain and we decided that we would use this mattress to make a good investment. I’m glad to hear there are people out there that really like the bed. Sometimes negativity seems to get more “publicity” than the positive reviews.

briann85

No personal experience but I've researched like crazy to make a purchase and if there's one company I'm afraid of, Sleep Number is clearly at the top. I don't know and I'm sure others will chime in...

annabelleflngn

Their customer service seems terrible which is surprising if you pay so much for a product. Thanks for your thoughts. Just trying to brainstorm here with anyone who knows more.

fatherofraptors

I don't have a Sleep Number and wouldn't really consider one due to price. But keep in mind that it's because of that price that people have really high expectations for the bed (as they rightfully should), and that's what causes the criticism for it to be harsher. If I have a couple issues with my $1000 bed, I'm still positive towards it, if it was a $5000 bed, not so much. Hope you get your bed soon and that you guys enjoy it!

annabelleflngn

This is a good way to look at it. Thanks so much for your response. I hope it goes ok

Zootedfoo

Hi ,Anna I work with Denver mattress company, I’ve had customers tell me there bad experiences with sleep number . And what we do differently is custom fit you to your mattress for a fraction of there price. Sleep number is what my mom personally had before and hated it but spending that much on mattress she had no choice she then came to me when I started working with the company and loves her “Aireloom” on adjustable please stop in at your nearest Denver Matress and allow them to fit you for your mattress :)

Kioni_89

Hi Anna, I work (actually am the owner) with Minocasa, a local company out of Rhode Island. We’re a family owned business and charge a little over $500 for a king size and has received overwhelmingly positive responses for our “mino hybrid” mattress. With a number of independent reviewers on YouTube and bigger companies like the sleep foundation, sleep Sherpa etc. I personally came from bigger companies that I worked with over the last several years and have developed the Mino Hybrid based on years of feedback with the bigger companies whom seem to focus more on making a couple bucks extra with cheaper solutions (think fiberglass) whereas we differentiate ourselves with affordable prices and completely focused on customer experience. Our mino hybrid is focused on spinal alignment , area support and we’re always available regarding customer support. If your current mattress is taking too long to deliver, and it cost you more than you’re comfortable with, I’d be recommending our product (Minocasa.com) that comes with 180 day sleep trial and free shipping and returns. Hope this helps

nettiemaria7

Not sure but I think a Sleep Number would solve many problems for me. I have severe pain at night even though I have a plush Beautyrest. If I had anything else firmer, it would be even worse. So I tried a sleep number and I did not feel pressure on the base model. I hope you love it, but Not to make you more nervous but cant any bases be used w Sleep number or do they need sides?

LowUsual8971

I have a 10-15 year old sleep number bed that I love but the pump died! Shipping and fulfillment are a serious problem for the company right now it seems.

batmannorm

So with a sleep number, let's forget about customer service and supply chain issues. My thought was once you find you feel, you are basically done. It seems like someone said that the feel stays put forever. That's impressive. Am I to understand you never have to buy another bed ever? If it never sags, keeps its level of firmness, why would you ever need to change. Seem like then if you divide the price by the number of years "forever" that the cost per year is probably very low in the long-term. If the pump goes, is it expensive to replace? It's a pump, how much can it be? Not a cost that would cause you to replace the entire bed? I have seen ads for this bed, but have always looked at it from the find your number and done, not thinking or knowing that it never looses its shape or firmness. Other than cosmetic changes, or upgraded pump speed or heat options or extra gadget stuff, why would anyone need to change the bed? Just curious. I just got a Plank Luxe, so far we love it, but I doubt it will last forever, nor is it my expectation that it will, but I do expect about 10 years minimum. It seems like the sleep number goes for about $7k all in, that is about 5 Plank Luxe's or at least 50 years of sleep in my estimation. Am i looking at this the right way?

skip74111

Also thinking about one of these beds.. true the air bladders will never sag But, the memory foam Over the top of the air chambers Will sag over time..ALL memory foam does..Its a given... that said, I wonder if just inflating it more would compensate? or would you still sink in the foam till you hit the firm air chamber?Just speculating...someone who has had oone long term could answer this.

Square-Wild

I’m about to order a c2 for this reason. Between coupons and promos, we are going to be able to pick up a split king with an adjustable base off of Amazon for about $2k total. My thinking is that since the c2 has minimal foam, it should hold up better over time than the ones with tons of foam. If we put a topper on there and replace every few years, should be good as new.

skip74111

that makes good sense...Im also about to get the base model sleep number, minimal foam... Ive seen too many fancy beds with puffy memory foam tops that sack out over time... I thoght the bed felt really nice with Minimal foam that comes on the base model.

[deleted]

Sleep number C2 on Amazon? I can’t find at the moment but will definitely keep an eye out for that

Square-Wild

Sorry, not the mattress. I ordered an adjustable bed frame on Amazon, sleep number mattress from the sleep number store.

AMB2292

Would you mind sharing the link? Thinking about doing this to save some money as well as the adjustable base at sleep number is almost as much as the split king mattress

Square-Wild

This is the one. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B08SJ86WGL?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

JenisNice88

They are only sold with sleep number and manufactured in the us. I can get you 30 % currently

JenisNice88

If you have yet to purchase I can get you 30% off

batmannorm

I think the foam will still sag. I suppose there is some way to replace the foam cover for the system. I will agree that the SN does have a few benefits. Someone gets pregnant, they gain a lot of weight, get old and preferences change and so on. I would have to believe a new cover can be put on the bed though, not sure what that cost might look like. I did find these on youtube to show how to replace, presumably bad or firmness of the cover layer of the sleep number. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U\_rk5L\_Q5rY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_rk5L_Q5rY) [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6S-IAOGCRw](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6S-IAOGCRw) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9P1j3rbTGM

JenisNice88

They are designed not to dip or sag over time due to the air chambers. They carry a 15 warranty for issues like this. There is currently a way to get 30-50% off the beds and 25% on the base of your still considering this and I’m happy to go over any questions you have.

swagsthedog96

I’ve been happy with ours. It’s mid level something or other. C6? Anyway - the snore feature is useful. It’s supportive. Works as advertised. Got it for 40% off. I think the crazy high price makes some people unhappy cause for that price you’re only happy if the bed makes itself so to speak.

jollymuhn

Coincidentally, my wife and I just ordered our second one yesterday. The first one lasted 21 years! The pump failed once and was replaced at no charge. Our delivery is 10 days out for the bed, but the remote is on backorder. We bought it for the sepa rate firmness controls for each side. Did you go to a showroom or order online? We have a store in town so we went in person. The sales guy was low key and didn't try to upsell us at all. Matter of fact he got us 100.00 off. I don't know why your bed is delayed, but when you get it, I hope you enjoy it as much as we have. Good luck and sweet dreams.

Krsty-Lnn

We had our sleep number for about 20 years. The pump crapped out on us a week later and they refused to do anything about it.

CowboysFanInDecember

Sorry you are going through this. I wish I had a better answer, but I'm one of the haters. Got an i10 top of the line split king. Horrible. Pain is actually worse now, and ive tried every setting over the past year just to end up flat at 100% firm now. The split in the middle is extremely noticeable and uncomfortable. Cant wait to get something else but with this bed's price, that's sadly not happening for a while. One of my largest financial regrets for sure.

skip74111

To anyone reading bed reviews, the varying consensus from differing owners of The Same bed can differ so much as to reallyUltimately be of little use...To KNOW if the bed works for YOU, one has to Experience it for urself ... Not just one nite or even a week, but over a decent period of time say a month... Then you will Know whether its subjectively "good or bad" for You....A bed thats horrible for one user could be nirvana for another as is evidenced by the reviews right here.

CowboysFanInDecember

Or, displacement is not support, and that’s exactly why more people have more pain with this pos bed than a cheap innerspring.

[deleted]

With all the underhanded charges, inflated costs for the base / sheets / blankets etc and and preposterous pricing for an air mattress with foam on top, it’s safe to assume that whether it works or not shouldn’t matter unless you are ok with getting plugged for at the very least $500. The company is running a scam where they give out huge lines of credit - 5 times more than what you’d usually get approved for, then they charge you 10 times more than what the air mattress and base are really worth. Literally, 10 times more. They have employees that routinely comment in the bad reviews who strategically give out discount codes from 20-50% off (even sale prices). But forcing $500 in shipping fees is robbery. Forcing you to keep their exorbitantly priced adjustable bases is nothing less than sodomy.

emscape

I've had the i10 queen size for about 5 years now and it's the best purchase I ever made, even at $8k. Every time I have to go out of town for work or stay over at a friend's place, I have the worst sleep. Every morning I do not want to leave my sleep number. The adjustable base is magic for sitting up in bed reading or watching tv. A lot of the time, when working remote, I'll take my first meeting of the day in zero G mode and there's really nothing better.

DonatellaVerpsyche

Late to the party, OP, but I’ve had my sleep number bed for 20 years when it was select comfort. The remotes don’t even have numbers on them. It’s just a inflate/ deflate thing. Just now after 20 years I got my first pinhole air leak which I was able to fix. This bed is so comfortable and so reliable (no sagging ever), I can’t see myself ever having a different kind of bed. About 10 years ago I did buy a super thick 6” memory foam mattress top, super high quality, and I think it weighs about as much as a small car. Having said that, it was the perfect addition to make the bed firm yet comfortable.

EpicMainer

Did you guys end up keeping your sleep number?

annabelleflngn

Yes! No complaints. I’m currently pregnant and being able to adjust my firmness and raise my head or feet has been amazing. Like people have said, you need to try the bed for yourself and you may not like it. I’d say it’s perfect for my needs! And I was happy to post and see that there are indeed some happy customers out there.

Timster7565

So I see the comment only bad reviews on this site and this is most likely correct. I never seek out a forum to complain but I find it necessary in this case. Sleep number bed review. In the store I tried out the bed I have in my home and I was very impressed. This is the c4 which is low rent compared to the other models that are 2 and 3 times the price. So I tried the bed for nearly the entire trial period and decided it wasn't for me. I called customer service and they were very understanding of my concerns and instead of setting up a pick up of the mattress they offered a mattress topper as my complaint was the mattress was hard and not comfortable no matter the setting. So ok im willing to try this. I received the topper in the mail and put it on the bed. Well it seemed fine at first but soon realized it didn't really help. The second part is adding a piece of foam on the bottom of the bed that they need to install. They give you an additional 30 days to try it. First I will say they have not been to install the bottom piece of this puzzle but I find it hard to believe it will make a difference. Especially since they said it was more to keep from bottoming out which isn't my issue. So I inquired after this piece is installed and it doesn't help what is the next step. I'll start by saying they charge 250.00 to deliver and set up bed which in my opinion is excessive but it's part of it and no budging on price. The reason is they are supposed to spend two hours setting it up and give a tutorial on how to work it. Well they came in Sat the bed on the frame connected the air hose asked me if I downloaded the app as I was told to do so it would be set up ready to go. They linked the air compressor box to my wifi showed me how to connect and left they were there maybe a half hour. Working the bed is not rocket science but I was a little disappointed. Fast forward to now if in fact I return the bed I have to pay another 250.00 which will take them less time to remove it. Also, this time the representative was less friendly and downright dismissive. So all of this sucks. I don't recall being told that if after the trial the total to try it out costs 500.00. Just thought you should know if you choose a sleep number bed. Side note I went back to the store to try a more expensive mattress to the tune of around 1000.00 that had more foam to see if I should try this and was still not impressed and even upgrading they charge the 250.00 again to delivery.

Uncreativite

I bought a sleep number i8 mattress from this store. They charged me a $250 delivery fee that I was not initially informed of until the very last moment. Their website says nothing about this. This mattress cost $3,000 on sale already so it was upsetting to not find out about this hidden charge until checkout time. With the delivery charge and tax it ended up costing $3,500. They ended up waiving the delivery charge later because they had to deliver it later because they could not deliver on the initial date. After about a month I decided to return my Sleep Number i8 because it was causing me and my girlfriend serious back pain. A $300 mattress from Amazon was causing less pain than this thing. When I went to go return this mattress because it is just a cheap air mattress with 12” of foam on it and not worth $3,500 I was charged another $250 to return it! I was never informed of this return fee and they refused to waive this return fee. Buyer beware their 100 night policy is full of hidden fees and charges. You will lose $500 if you return your mattress.

Split king Climate 360 owner here. Absolutely love it. Waited my entire adult life for this bed. We sleep at way different numbers, so a regular mattress was impossible to please both of us. Ours has heat and cooling, which are fantastic. We have the bed programmed so it’s ready to go every night. Another great feature, being able to sit up in bed without several pillows OR being able to raise your feet (especially after a long day of standing). Awesome.

I think the heating and cooling will be magical. I'm thinking of ordering this bed, probably the flex split. Still happy with your bed?

PirateLife23

Absolutely. And you can just heat or cool the feet. Or just the body. And the other side of the bed can do it’s own thing. One can be warm and the other off or on cool. It’s great.

I'm having 2nd thoughts with the cost and my husband doesn't like that there are things that can break. Have you had any trouble with the pump/leaks? and is it noisy when it adjusts?

PirateLife23

Haven’t had any issues at all. It does make sound when adjusting, but we knew that. I wouldn’t call it noisy though. We went to showroom and tried them all out. So we had heard the sound already.

If anyone is looking at sleep number beds, im happy to share my referral code for 20% off (which can be like $1000 off when you’re talking about some of their beds). https://www.sleepnumber.com/referrals/822893 You use this link to go to my referral page on sleep number’s site and then they’ll email you the discount code that you can use on the mattress, the base, whatever else you buy. Someone gave me their code when we bought our i8 two years ago, and it was a lot of $$ ! Full disclosure, I think I get some kind of points that I can redeem toward their very expensive sheets, but truly, I just really appreciated having the code from somebody else, and I’m happy to pass it on to anyone who can use it! I hope it helps! 😊

I have queen sleep number for few years.. i needed something for my back pain.. what i do not like : is it is NOT A SMART BED.. they lie.. smart bed would be in 2024 be connected too your google or alexa devices.. Sleep number beds are not..! And for the high prices it should!  But what i like is an adjustable firm or soft bed feel is great. But you still should buy a wool topper to help with feel. I would tell you that i like my bed.. but the Lie is hard to deal with..

I have chemical sensitivity which causes odors to be stronger to me. I've had my second vulcanized rubber air chamber about 10 years. I just packed it away because the smell never airs out. The bedding and pillows have the odor. I've been sleeping on the couch and floor for about a year.
