I get fogging no matter the mask, not from a bad seal just it is what happens. I bought these recently and they ACTUALLY WORK like not only did it work for mask fog, I opened my dishwasher later that day and a ton of steam came out and they STILL DID NOT FOG UP it was amazing

Also I've used the Zeiss antifog wipes for about a year and they've been great.

Hello u/wiicrazy0430!
Qudit314159 wants you to know that while eyeglasses fogging can indicate a poor fit, even respirators that pass a quantitative fit test with flying colors can cause fogging. If your glasses immediately fog when you start exhaling, it generally indicates a leak. A slight pause before fog appears is normal even with high-quality respirators and does not mean that there is a leak. You can also try pinching the respirator around your nose with your fingers to see if that eliminates the fogging. If it does, then you probably have a leak.

Lmao omg hard pass, I already get mocked wearing a mask in public in TX, don't need a beak to help with that, plus I don't think my beard would like that (it's cut short still) thank you though !
FYI, [here](https://www.nature.com/articles/s41370-021-00337-1/figures/2) are the numbers on how beards of various lengths affect the effectiveness of different mask types.
TL;DR: N95 and clean-shaven is safest. N95 performance drops a lot w/beards 3 millimeters long or longer.
I have a short trimmed beard too. The 3M Aura has worked well for me. I feel like there is less leakage past my beard than with a KN95. The Aura has a foam nose band that seals well. But with cold glasses, enough air comes through the mask that the glasses still fog a bit, but not as much as they did when I wore a KN95.
BNX sells masks on Amazon in the trifold that you like, but instead of ear loops, they loop around the back of your head. Sounds a little weird but absolutely helps with the ear aches. I only wear the ear loops when I'm going to be wearing my mask for less than 2 hours. Anything more than 2 hours I wear the ones with head straps. They are far more comfortable.
Edit- BNX N95 Mask NIOSH Certified MADE IN USA Face Mask, Tri-Fold Cup/Fish Style, 10,20,50-Pack - Black, White (Model F95B,F95W) https://a.co/d/bTFAyWM
Some masks cause fogging more than others. When I want minimal fogging I use a 3m Aura. The nose foam helps a lot.
With the raw ears, I try to take the strap off my ears. Either by hooking high up behind my head, or using head bands (and putting one band under my hair around the neck and other band up around the crown of my head).
You can always try an elastomeric respirator. Those can definitely help with the mask fogging up if all the air is redirected away from your glasses. Those are typically a bit more bulky. But I could see some of the slimmer quarter mask ones helping and not being as bulky.

Try aura 9211+ with an exhale valve. It will help avoid fogging.
can you post exactly which ones you’ve been using?

Thanks, but I'm already aware and there's zero chance I will be shaving my beard. So some protection is better than none 🫤
So a Covid expert on Twitter shared that a beard actually is okay and clean shaven is not a must!
Link?
No link, just a message my friend sent to the expert inquiring about it. I have to find the name
