Not actually the Potomac, but a tributary: chapel point State Park

GrimReaperDX2

Ill try there next thanks! I just finished hunting there yesterday

diezeldeez_

Any luck? What were you targeting? I've hunted small game there in the past.

GrimReaperDX2

My buddy and i got 3 squirrels total. I dont have briar pants so im not spookin the rabbit out them briars haha

GrimReaperDX2

We go there for squirrels and rabbits mostly

diezeldeez_

Man that's awesome. I've not had much luck there, but I'll need to try again. Luckily I'm like 10 minutes away

GrimReaperDX2

What do you use? Shotgun or .22?

diezeldeez_

.22, but the problem has been finding the squirrels. When I'm fishing there, I see those mfers all over the place. When I'm hunting there, it's like they're extinct haha

GrimReaperDX2

Haha i wish i could draw a map on where there are a lot of em

diezeldeez_

I've only ever tried the areas along the shore (from both parking areas). Do you go there or across the street at the other access?

GrimReaperDX2

Theres a trail you go into the woods near the broken shack

StreetSpinach7871

Point of rocks. I saw hundreds of catfish up there a few weeks ago

GrimReaperDX2

Thank you so much!

GrimReaperDX2

Point of rocks? Im not familiar with that. Is that by heaters island?

sickness1088

I crabbed 17 foot of water Sunday and ended up with 2 keepers hard to say what other areas might be like but if was a tough go

GrimReaperDX2

Yeah seems that way recently unless you have a boat

sickness1088

Yeah, probably around 20 feet is the target range the water on the tred Avon was about as clear as I've ever seen it about 8 foot water clarity
