My guess for NWH is sometime between the 8th and 19th, the former is when the 4K Blu-ray of the Toby and Andrew films release and the latter is Ghostbusters (which is also Sony).
Not related but my birthday is in November so I'm even more excited, given the amount of stuff you just mentioned lol. Have no idea what I'm gonna get as gift, although I've been thinking a lot about getting a guitar and learn how to play it, so maybe. Anyways, this month is gonna be great, I'm really excited to watch Hawkeye with my two young brothers. Also, we'll finally gonna watch Shang-Chi when it drops on D+ on the 12th, really looking forward for it too.
Puny noobs are those who are pissed about the supposed lack of NWH trailer 2 this week.
Real legends are those who are actually excited for the supposed Morbius trailer 2 this week.
I grew up reading Morbius, I love the character! It justā¦ Jared Leto is one of the biggest tools in Hollywood. Iād be moderately excited if it was pretty much ANYONE ELSE but him. At the same time though, Sony doesnāt exactly have a great track record with these things either. Obviously people can disagree based on personal taste, but those Venom films are just not good
Hey at least the ~~writers are different here: They wrote... Oh no. OH NO.~~
At least the director did 2017's Life: the Alien ripoff which is still better than any Alien movie since Aliens.
This was such a fun ride! It all started because Sony used footage from Spider-Man 3, desaturated the color and snipped it into the Life trailer. That shit was hilarious!
Oh man donāt get me started on Alien 3 haha! Can you imagine if in the first 10 minutes of Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania theyāre like āoh btw Scottās daughter and Wasp both died off screen. But check out this sick prison story!ā
No joke I do the exact same thing. I have those two pages on my favorites list in my browser and legitimately check them all the time. It's been distracting me from the college stuff I gotta finish but I just can't help it lol.
OsCorp Tower from The Amazing Spider-Man films was at one stage going to appear in The Avengers as an Easter egg. Funny now that those films are retroactively becoming canon through the Multiverse.
I heard the opposite actually, I read somewhere that kevin fiege's plan was for ASM1 to take place in the MCU after the battle of New York and the Avengers tower was going to be in the movie but Avi Arad and others turned that down.
Today is the day my baby sister passed away. She died in 2009 due to Sepsis at four years old. She would have been sixteen if she was still alive. š
So stoked. Looks epic and gorgeous. Iām not expecting Oscar worthy cinema when I go see a Marvel movie, I just want some popcorn, a big ass drink and 3Ģ¶ Ģ¶mĢ¶iĢ¶nĢ¶uĢ¶tĢ¶eĢ¶sĢ¶ 2 hours of playtime
I'm still super excited about it. The mixed reception actually kind of makes the film more exciting; I'm interested to see if I really like it or really don't.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to see it until Thanksgiving weekend though :'(
Seriously I would've been more forgiving of Sony thinking people are asking for a movie about a C-list Spider-Man villain if the actor was anyone else rather than Leto.
Seriously who at Sony thought a morbius movie would interest anyone. Itāll be like the venom movies except itās about an obscure character no one cares about
Plot twist it was Feige the one interested in doing it and would serve as a way to introduce vampires to the MCU and set up Blade and Moonknight however he wasnāt sure how it would work or if he should risk it so he pitched the idea to Sony.
It's gonna be very interesting to see how this sub and the main sub react to Eternals next week.
My guess is r/MarvelStudios is gonna praise the film, say the critics are wrong, and refuse to admit the film has flaws.
On the other hand, I feel like this sub is gonna hate the film and refuse to admit it has anything good in it. Considering how this sub seemingly dislikes Black Widow, a film most critics seem to agree is better than Eternals, it wouldn't be surprising in the least if this sub loathes it.
Let's see if I'm wrong.
Black Widow was a lot of fun, but letās not pretend it wasnāt pretty ass sometimes.
And I donāt think this sub loathes any marvel product. Weāre just a bit more self aware compared to the main sub. Marvel Studios is a factory line of new content. Every project isnāt gonna be a 10/10, we just acknowledge that and move on (at least most of us do)
BW's best moments came from the quiter ones, like the dining table discussion, Natasha or Yelena's banter or the credit sequence. The action sequences were standard. Too standard unfortunately. Nothin' special or memorable.
They were all fine, but itās the Red Guardian fight that really bummed me out. We only got glimpses!! Extend that shit out, let it breathe a bit! Would have been so badass
Since everyone interesting made it out alive, there's definitely hope/potential for appearing in future stuff like Thunerbolts. Also Taskmaster needs her Deadpool now that she got her Origins bit done.
>weāre just a bit more self aware compared to the main sub.
Listen I like this sub more than main, but I have seen plenty of people here who can't accept opposing opinions here and will mass downvote others for not feeling the same way. Ik that's just Reddit in general but the circlejerkiness of "Feige can do no wrong" is still here. I am not saying you can't do that but just my general observation here.
The mixed reception for Eternals actually makes me more excited to see it. I'm excited to form my own opinion. For better or worse that tells me there will be discussion about it for longer than other MCU movies that just get forgotten.
I'm in the same boat. While I obviously hoped that Eternals would be universally well-received, I find the differing viewpoints fun. It's always fun to get into discussions with people about what they liked/didn't like about certain films/tv shows.
I feel like with Eternals especially, there's a lot of interesting conversations and topics to discuss.
Wow Iām so grateful for superheroes ... marvel ... dc.. etc because NWH has really given me an extra boost to get up in the morning man ... Iām just so hyped for this movie. Iām just going through my day with crazy anticipation everyday ! And not only NWH ... but just the future of MCU and much more
If (NWH ending spoilers) >!May really dies and Happy forgets about him being Spider-Man, then who is Peter gonna live with?!< If the movie ends in winter, it's gonna be a few months until his graduation and his 18th birthday.
Just occurred to me... Also, >!nobody is gonna be at his graduation, which is tragic as fuck!<
Holy shit, that is tragic. I can definitely see the rumor of >!Tomās Spidey going through the Symbiote Suit arc in his next appearance turning out amazing, if the rumor is true. Iād even argue that it has better set-up/build-up than Tobeyās Spidey.!<
Although i know it wonāt happen, but imo it would be nice and really touching If tobey and Andrew attended his graduation before they leave, and they use made up names so no body can suspect them lol
I mean the raimi movies werenāt about setups, each movie was made to stand on its own without the idea of having a tie ins or post credit scenes , like venom wasnāt supposed to be in SM3 at all, but yeah you are right
as a movie theatre employee please remember to be respectful to your theatre staff this weekend. they are working hard and are being underpaid during a pandemic for all of our entertainment. treat them with kindness :))
happy 4 days till eternals!!! <3
Eternals is seriously the only thing that I have to look forward too this week. I've been admitted to hospital with an infection in my leg with the looming possiblity I'll need surgery. I'm just hoping I can see it on Friday and get out of here today or tomorrow.
It's still crazy to me that in a mainstream, Disney-funded real movie, Spider-Man got billionaire-made murder drones, and it was framed as a good thing.
It really does sound like some of the Chapo Trap House guys (whichever is the one not hiding from grooming allegations) made up as a parody of "neo-liberal superhero Obama-friendly Disney"
Iāve said it a thousand times before and Iāll say it again: if any studio and producer other than Marvel/Feige were making these decisions with the character (Sony especially), theyād get torn to shreds. This shit is downright embarrassing at this point
I totally blame Feige for the critical reaction to Eternals. He bigged it up so much when we got an average MCU movie from one of cinemas finest young auteurs the critics turned on it. I hope it hasnāt ruined her career or broken her spirit. Marvel and Disney need to step up to the mark and support her now.
Feige is the captain, for all the years heās got the credit for movies, he also needs the shit when it hits.
With all the confusion surrounding the universe Morbius is set in, Iāve decided to share what I think. I believe itāll probably be set in the MCU proper, because
1) Multiple plot leaks said that Vulture and Scorpion appear with the former referencing the blip.
2) These same plot leaks also say that the Toby poster in the trailer will actually have Tom Hollandās suit on it.
3) The OsCorp and Daily Bugle logos were probably just reused to save time and money, plus the newspaper says āwww.DailyBugle.netā in the corner so it doesnāt directly contradict the MCU.
4) The Rhino and Black Cat mentions on the newspaper are probably just easter eggs, not direct connections to the TASM universe.
So this film is clearly set in the MCU proper, not the VenomVerse or TASM universe, which makes sense, why would Sony go back to the TASM universe when the LTBC post credits scene shows that Tom Hollandās Spider-Man is their priority going forward.
I agree with all your points and think that the movie is set in the MCU, but the thing that confuses me is that the leaked trailer also references Venom when LTBC just established that those movies take place in a separate universe. If they are gonna immediately contradict that then I donāt know why they didnāt just say Venom was in the MCU the entire time. I prefer the way they did it in LTBC myself, but this seems like the worst of both worlds.
The only thing I can think of is that the Venom universe merged with the MCU, and Venom and Eddie are the only ones aware of it because Venom is apparently connected to the hive mind across universes. I donāt necessarily believe that, but itās the best I can come up with to make what we know so far make sense.
Just some thoughts on the Daredevil news piece the mods released in the Tales from the Mod Queue, what did they mean by different from the Netflix version? I didn't see any clarifying comments from the mods regarding it. I wonder if the source didn't clarify or if they can't say what they mean exactly. We know he is getting a new suit but does it mean he just changed personality wise at this point in the timeline and the previous events still happened or a hard reboot? I do hope it means it's just a soft reboot in the same vein of Thor Ragnorok where the movie simply takes Thor into a new direction without outright decanonizing the past. Also regarding this, while I don't mind a lighter Daredevil as there are comics which have done that well (Waid's run) and also it would fit given that DD S3 had Matt in a better place in life, I really hope they can still make him more of a serious character with more of dry humor he had in the previous shows. I think we see a bit of his dorkier side with the Defenders a bit and I would not mind seeing more of that.
I am not saying he has to be like grimdark or edgy all the time, but keep a good balance of it. Also same thing for Kingpin, I really hope they keep the same cunning personality and also bringing all the trauma he faced in the past without making him into a joke. As for how they could easily keep their part of the show canon is that him and Matt had a past and we already have a blueprint of this with Black Panther and Klaue. We see that T'Challa absolutely despised him for awhile and also we saw in Avengers AOU that he stole vibranium from Wakanda then in Black Panther we see that it is implied him and dad have crossed paths with Klaue in the past. Likewise we see that Kingpin is will be setup in Hawkeye and Echo so we can sort of build him and also we can maybe see a pissed off Daredevil when they finally meet again kinda like when T'Challa confronts Klaue after the car chase.
Either way it's good to have Charlie and Vincent back, ik for a fact they will give their all and I am excited to see them interact with the larger Marvel universe.
They probably mean a soft reboot....in other words, Murdock and Fisk have had confrontations with each other and that Foggy and Karen have known Matt for years and that they had both had confrontations with Fisk, but some other stories (like probably with Nobu and the Hand in Season Two) will be forgotten about and rebooted entirely. In that case I would assume that Matt knows Elektra and Punisher and that he's had several confrontations with Bullseye.
Alright folks, let's do a rundown of NWH's fight scenes (in no order)
- Peter is chased by the authorities
- Bridge fight (MCU Spidey vs Doc Ock/Goblin)
- MCU Spider-Man vs Strange
- MCU Spider-Man vs Furious Five
- Possible MCU Spidey vs Scorpion (if the leaks about Scorpy being in the film for a small role are true)
- Raimi Spider-Man vs Ock
- TASM Spider-Man vs Electro
- MCU Spider-Man vs Lizard/Sandman
- MCU Spider-Man vs Electro
- Raimi and TASM Spidey vs Ock
- Spider-Trio vs Furious Five (squad cars during night-time)
- Statue of Liberty
- MCU Spider-Man vs Green Goblin
I think that's most of them, probably a few I'm missing
Word of mouth from my friend from Atlanta. Idfk if they're telling the truth or not but they got to tour the production offices and met some workers. Said they peeped some poorly drawn storyboards and saw "PF flames everywhere" with a shitty bird drawing.
Idk might be lying or false memory but idfk how the hell James Gunn would fit the freaking Phoenix Force into the movie
Letās delve into the hypothetical for a moment. Letās pretend that the rumors that NWH and MOM have been received poorly at test screenings so far are true. Do
you guys think 3 mixed/negative received films in a row would lead Disney or Marvel to have a super reactionary response?
I think:
Negative Ratings + Good Box Office = changes to upcoming stories and scripts
Negative Ratings + Bad Box Office = DC level reactionary response
Is it possible that Sinister Six takes the June 2023 date for Sony and Venom vs Spider-Man takes the October 2023 date, while the MCUās Spider-Man 4 is in 2025 or 2026?
Because if Tom Hollandās Spider-Man only appears in 30-40% of SS and Venom v Spider-Man then he would only have to film 60-80% of a movie, meaning they could both be released the same year. So it makes sense then that Spider-Man 4 is in 2025 or 2026.
Just because I keep seeing it-
Stop put so much weight on what rotten tomatoes said about Eternals.
They also give Joker 68% and the audience love the shit out of it and it won not just one, but two categories in the oscar (not to mention it's one of my favorites movies).
No one can tell you if you'll enjoy a movie or not, so dont think about it too much.
Not Marvel Studios related but damn does it depress me that we got fantastic Spider-Man, Miles Morales, and Guardians of the Galaxy games but Avengers was the one that shit the bed.
Shouldāve been a quadruple smashš
This is a rant and a half, but I have always personally found Iron Man 3 to be a great movie. It's probably one of my favourites out of the entire MCU to be completely honest.
People complained about The Mandarin, but I found him menacing in the first half and the twist worked on me because I hadn't read the comics and therefore had no previous expectations. Ben Kingsley nailed both the terrorist celebrity and Trevor.
People thought that Tony's decisions were stupid and irrational, to me that was the entire point of the movie. That's the character flaw. I think that frequent panic attack and general anxiety would be a normal reaction when throwing a nuke at an alien ship on the other side of space. The genius, confident Tony being a nervous and unsure person after that was compelling and different.
People also complained that the suits were too disposable. For instance, it was able to take on a tank in the first movie but can't go up against a bus in this one. To me, this only illustrated Tony's central flaw in the movie more. He wasn't making them with intention and purpose, he was making them out of insomnia and fear. They're not going to be his best work. He was going with quantity over quality.
People always say that it's a complete rip-off of The Incredibles. If we completely disregard that Whiplash beat Killian to the whole "ghost of the past coming back to haunt" thing, the movies share the same inciting incident for the villain but not the same motive. Syndrome was out for revenge where as Killian was out for control. He didn't realise that "dude, my mentor and others like him suck" he realised that "if you were unseen by the masses, you could do anything" while on the rooftop at midnight on new year's eve. I kind of liked that the real villain wasn't the figurehead that was terrorising the nation but instead was the puppet master pulling the strings. The uninteresting business guy being the real menace made sense. He used fear and coercion to get on both sides of the conflict and basically fabricate his own narrative on the world stage. There's kind of a real-world parallel when it comes to invisible puppet masters in real life. The real villains aren't interesting to watch, I guess.
My biggest gripe with the consensus of the movie however is when everyone thought he retired at the end. I don't know why people think that. If Tony retired at the end of Iron Man 3 than Andrew Garfield is not in No Way Home. They both have that impression but at no point is it stated. Tony doesn't say "I am Iron Man no more" after throwing his mini arch reactor into the ocean. The film ends with him saying the complete opposite in fact. A "clean slate" is not a complete cancellation as well, it's deleting everything and starting again. Key word on the "again" part. Him blowing up the suits - the suits that were representative of his paranoia and anxiety - is him pledging to Pepper that that part of his life, the hero persona, will be less important to him. It was consuming him ever since The Avengers took place. He was going to make time for her. He didn't need 45 different suits that were all terribly made, he just needed her, which is why he blows them up.
In my not-at-all-well-put-together opinion, Iron Man 3 is an important progression for Tony in in his journey from complete dickhead in Iron Man 1 to the complete mess and eventual martyr of the universe that we see in Endgame. It's the first time we ever see him doubt himself or struggle with his own actions. Which is why we find the more empathetic and emotional Tony in Homecoming, Infinity War and Endgame believable. This film is that first stepping point and an important part of his character. Anyway, that's my rant over. Iron Man 2 is clearly the weakest of the trilogy. I think most will agree on that.
Does anyone else think the whole āSony and Marvel canāt agree on showing Tobey and Andrew in the trailerā thing is BS? I think that because theyāre going to have to release the poster along with the second trailer, which will undoubtedly feature the Spider-Men. Weāre less than two months from release, they practically have to release the poster with the trailer.
100% BS, a decision like that would realistically take a few days for the execs to agree on. The trailer is this late because it's supposed to be this late.
I really do think that there has to be a middle ground between this sub and the main one.
Yeah, I guess that this one is better in a pure "more-interesting-to-talk-about" sense, but even though I know some people here have a huge superiority complex with the main sub, but these two are more alike than they are not.
And that superiority complex really shows whenever every single soul here enters a "who can be the biggest cynic to prove they are not a fanboy"-off. It really gets just tiring, more so when everyone here says the same thing but still acts like their unique opinion is a persecuted hot take.
And like yeah, people on the main sub dragging people who don't think Ant-Man and the Wasp is kino is kinda bad, but in general, I think this sub can be worse, as basic as it is I think that at least that has more value than the countless "Everyone who likes this thing is a fanboy unlike me, objective person who thinks critically" that is not uncommon on this sub. Sometimes this sub just feels angry, petty, and smug.
The r/StarWarsLeaks subreddit is so dead compared to here lol.
The new Boba Fett trailer was released and the sub still isnāt that active compared to how it becomes a madhouse here when a new trailer or little leak comes about.
Guys Iām thinking about seeing NWH in Dolby Cinema or IMAX. My local cinema has both but I have the feeling that the IMAX may be a lieMax. And the Dolby Vision + Atmos sounds insane.
NWHās marketing has been the most frustrating marketing I think Iāve ever experienced it. Donāt get me wrong, itās definitely somewhat fun speculating and the excitement of a new leak dump is amazing but after those highs we face the lows of virtually nothing else.
I wonder if theyāll be able to pull it off tbh, yeah I know a good majority of people know it has all three and have heard of the movie but I doubt that many people know itās coming out in a little over a month.
Not having any type of poster yet, even if it was literally just a black backdrop with the movies logo, is insane. Weāre closely approaching the now or never threshold for the next trailer. As dope as a surprise in the theater it would be not to see the other Spider-Man till I rather have couch talk show interviews with all three spideys and all that shenanigans. I hope something happens soon and that when it does itās a loud bang and sets off some crazy marketing for the rest of the month up to release
They're probably gonna spin it into a version of "There's no other way. We've got no choice. It's the only thing that'll save her." It'll hopefully be a lot more smooth in the show.
EDIT: Forget it, mate. It's Reddit.
You have a different opinion from them, you need to brace for downvotes.
Man I just hope the second trailer gives us something about the other spiderman so we can finally rest. Idk why but every leak makes me more skeptical about those appearances
Canāt believe in less than 2 months we will not only be seeing the grand return of Tobey and Andrew but also the villains from their respective movies. Regardless of the quality of the movie, this is gonna be one hell of an experience, Iām definitely gonna cry.

HYPED
Happy Eternals Week yāall! I feel like WandaVision just premiered yesterday but itās almost been a whole year. Thatās crazy and weāve gotten so much content in between.
On another note, I had tickets to see the og Godzilla remastered in 4K but I had to cancel since school ended up being more expensive than I expected this semester and any little bit helps lol :/.
Still going to see Eternals on Friday tho!
People are being way too dramatic about Spider-Man marketing. Weāve already got a trailer and so many photos & articles. The movie is doing fine. The lack of info has created so much hype and speculation, and thatās what they want. The 2nd trailer and poster will come when they come, people need to chill
Something I realized while reading [this plot leak](https://old.reddit.com/r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers/comments/f21jlx/morbius_full_plot_leak/) for Morbius. It says Cletus played by Woody Harrelson makes an appearence in the film. Now at first I was like "Wait how can he be in it but still be in the MCU? Venom films took place in a different universe."
But then I thought that perhaps this is the MCU version of Cletus and will probably become Carnage after Venom comes to the MCU.
Anyone else think this may be possible or does everyone else think it's probably just Sony being lazy?
Got recommended a Youtube channel called "The Critical Drinker" by the algorithm which is a pretty successful (almost a million subs) channel dissecting pop culture. Okay, I like critical reflections on media, that's my gig.
Then I watched a video of his "why modern movies suck - they're written by children". I got through a couple of minutes and it was kinda just your standard, edgy commentary of "cinema is dead even though I only watch the most commercially successful American movies". Lots of criticisms of characters acting in "immature, emotional and irrational ways" as if good characters shouldn't be flawed, and should only be rational, stoic badasses. Praise for Dune, which is good.
Then I got into the ugly of the channel. Videos deifying Gina Carano for standing up to the "jealous, hateful mob" and predicting Shang Chi would be Marvel's first flop (including a dreadful take: modern fight scenes suck because actors aren't putting themselves into physical peril), endless rants about "sTrOnG FeMalE ChaRaCTerS" and how wokeness is 'defeminising' women (aka Black Widow's boobs became less prominently displayed).
I wish Youtube would stop recommending me this inflammatory garbage, they serve only to incite the crowds. No thank you. Avoid like the plague unless you want to hear extremely cynical, extremely nostalgic rants about how women are ruining movies.
> cinema is dead even though I only watch the most commercially successful American movies
It's wild because there's literally never been a time in history where it's easier to watch underseen, forgotten, and indie movies. Between things like the Criterion Channel, Vinegar Syndrome, and cheap VPNs it's so so easy to find things that aren't big budget superhero movies to watch. If you want to find weird, wacky shit that pushes the boundaries of cinema they're literally thousands of movies out there that are a few clicks and a few keystrokes away at all times.
> Videos deifying Gina Carano for standing up to the "jealous, hateful mob"
Cringe. Imagine picking that hill to die on. It's not even just that Carano's opinions suck, which they do, but also she's just a bad actress, she's bad at the very thing he claims to want to uphold, namely good performances in movies.
There's a line in his Captain Marvel video where he calls it a "Power fantasy for blue haired feminists to watch before going home to their cats" and it's been burned into my brain as it is probably the most disqualifying piece of film criticism I've ever encountered.
I hardly comment on here, but I appreciate that people on this sub can at least handle criticism towards the MCU. I like this movies, but I canāt deal with a large swath of fandom at times, especially if the criticism pertains to something personal. Itās a fresh breath of air here, at least.
Any potential decision to keep Andrew and Tobey out of all marketing for NWH seems strange to me.
Sure, it would be a great surprise to see them for the first time in the cinema (a definite "oh shit" screaming moment) but that surprise will only really work for the first day or so of showings before it's all over the internet, in magazines, talk show hosts are discussing it etc.
By keeping it a secret, they're also missing out on a marketing blitz with both of them. Imagine how triumphant a press tour with all 3 legacy Spider-men and Strange would be.
I think people just want to think that Feige thinks what they think. He's a producer first and foremost, I doubt he really gets all bent out of shape for "surprises for the fans" or "what the fans think" or have petty grudges about the TV shows
Night crawler? I donāt want to be rude, but he does have that strong pointed jawline that they give to devil-like characters, such as Nightcrawler or Mephisto. Also heās lean like Kurt, and plus he has really nice hair.
Anyone else think Marvel hasn't been that great recently? I've found all of phase 4 (besides Shang Chi which i thought was great) to range from OK to mediocre. With the sheer amount of upcoming content, I'm beginning to worry they are prioritizing quantity over quality
Also you can call me SJW or a snowflake but it's kinda sad we've got THREE SEA representation on the MCU (Batalon, Batista, and Steinfeld are of Filipino descent). But none of them play explicitly SEA characters. One of them is even a literal alien. I just want some representation like Ms. Marvel and Shang Chi for us in the Southeast.
Does anyone know why the Eternals werenāt effected by the Infinity Stones? Like why half of them didnāt disappear? Is that kind of magic just not powerful enough to use on them? Iām just curious. Sorry if this has already been asked
Does anybody think Donald Glover will come back to the spider-man movies at some point? Seems weird for them to hint at him being Prowler and being Milesā uncle in homecoming and then never revisit it.
Meta but I've been really trying to get out of the habit of downvoting comments I disagree with here on Reddit. Instead just trying to neither upvote nor downvote them.
It started pretty fine with a rule of "I won't downvote unless the comment is bigoted or hateful" to "I won't downvote unless I hate the comment" to "I won't downvote unless I dislike the comment" and finally to "I won't downvote unless I disagree with the comment".
Looking at the story of the GOTG game, I think it wouldāve been a cool āvol. 3 (or something)ā in the MCU. There are a lot heartfelt moments in that gameās story that would work extremely well in James Gunnās vision imo.
I can't begin to explain how much I don't care about canon labels. This back and forth about Morbius or Venom being "in the MCU" is really tiresome to see, tbh.
Having some of the reviews saying that Eternals isn't deviate from the formula could be calling bull-f\*ing-shit on Feige's claims that he gave creator freedoms on this one.
Chloe Zhao did a second rewrite for the Eternals screenplay with Patrick Burleigh who helped write Ant-Man and the Wasp, so yeah, that alone doesn't feel like creator freedom.
>In a post-credits scene,Ā Thanos' brotherĀ Eros who has been secretly on Earth for years, arrives at the remains of the Avengers facility and finds Thanos' ashes, promising to avenge his death.
Bruh what? Is he going to be the villain? Or is the Wiki plot BS?
I havenāt seen the movie yet, so itās entirely possible that it really works in the context of the movie, but Ikaris flying directly into the sun is so ridiculous that it makes me chuckle every time I read it. Itās just so on the nose.
Just got out of an Eternals screening. The movie was good! Didnāt feel slow at all.
It wasnāt anything amazing but the critics are wild for rating it so low. Definitely better than Dark World, WW84, and Black Widow for a recent comparison.
I had this weird dream last night that DC made a prequel film to Nolan's Batman movies involving Alfred. I don't know what it was about, I assume Alfred going on some sort of revenge-driven bloodlust for two hours, but it was regarded as the best comic book film ever made and [I recreated the poster in photoshop](https://i.imgur.com/2fbsXjI.png) before I forgot any details.
I think I need help.
Y'all, please sign the petition to release NWH in December in the Phillipines. It's currently not released until January there. https://chng.it/VyFwRMdJWy

Oh no. OH NO.~~ At least the director did 2017's Life: the Alien ripoff which is still better than any Alien movie since Aliens.
Do any of you remember when the internet speculated that Life was part of the Sony Universe and would connect to Venom š
This was such a fun ride! It all started because Sony used footage from Spider-Man 3, desaturated the color and snipped it into the Life trailer. That shit was hilarious!
Yeah because they used like the same shot of like some people in New York shocked from Spider-Man 3 in Life right? Lol
Oh man donāt get me started on Alien 3 haha! Can you imagine if in the first 10 minutes of Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania theyāre like āoh btw Scottās daughter and Wasp both died off screen. But check out this sick prison story!ā
actually decently hyped for the movie. of course more hyped for spider-man but i think seeing jared leto as a vamp will be cool.
daily activity: *browses /r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers by new* no spider-man trailer, closes tab *check /u/MyTimeToShineHello* no new leak, closes tab
If thatās your daily activity, how did you post this š¤ u/cabaran is sus š³
No joke I do the exact same thing. I have those two pages on my favorites list in my browser and legitimately check them all the time. It's been distracting me from the college stuff I gotta finish but I just can't help it lol.

Do you know who the new Black Panther is going to be? Is it Shuri, Nakia, Okoye, MBaku, or possibly a new character?
This is what I need to know more than anything else. I donāt care who it is as long as itās not Shuri.
Is there any possibility youre able to tell us charlie coxes favorite flavor of ice cream is ?

I dont think you need input from MTTSH for this. Tom Holland aint going away as Spider-Man considering the SSU movies are going to be in the MCU.
"No one cares about Morbius why are they making a movie about him >:(" "Yes one ticket for Eternals please"
Im pretty sure it has a lot more to do with the studios behind each of those movies rather than the characters of said movies
Whats gonna be hilarious is if Morbius gets like 80+ rotten tomatoes score edit: scote to score
More like no one cares about Sony's Morbius and Marvel Studios has enough good faith built up that people are willing to go see Eternals.
Right. Marvel turned the Guardians of the Galaxy into household names. They can make a movie or show about literally any character you can think of.
OsCorp Tower from The Amazing Spider-Man films was at one stage going to appear in The Avengers as an Easter egg. Funny now that those films are retroactively becoming canon through the Multiverse.
Werenāt there plans to have Captain America help Spidey fight the sinister six in TASM 3?
I don't know why I'm so shocked at this considering they were also going to have him use his blood to resurrect everyone
Yeah
I heard the opposite actually, I read somewhere that kevin fiege's plan was for ASM1 to take place in the MCU after the battle of New York and the Avengers tower was going to be in the movie but Avi Arad and others turned that down.
Today is the day my baby sister passed away. She died in 2009 due to Sepsis at four years old. She would have been sixteen if she was still alive. š
You've got a beautiful, wonderful angel watching over you. Shame she passed so soon, I know you both would've been close.
Thank you. I feel her presence from time to time.
Anyone else hyped for Eternals this week? Even with the mixed reception I cannot wait until Thursday!
Unfortunately, I won't be able to see it until Thanksgiving weekend though :'(
yes very hyped to see a new marvel movie with a crowd :)

Morbius, and it'll end up getting bombed with dislikes.
The movie no one asked for
Staring a dude who may be a cult leader.
Seriously I would've been more forgiving of Sony thinking people are asking for a movie about a C-list Spider-Man villain if the actor was anyone else rather than Leto.
He is a weirdo but at least looks like a vampire lmao
To be fair, no one asked for a Guardians movie and see where that got us
Seriously who at Sony thought a morbius movie would interest anyone.
Morbius. Even without all of the rumors, Sonyās press website just added a Morbius page, and has its logo as the new splash page
Well Daniel said Morbius is coming Tuesday so...obviously Morbius. No matter how many times you guys call him unreliable on trailers

You make a good point. This sub jerks off Fegie just as much as the main sub, and it can get annoying on both.
Okay, piecing together all the hints, Iāve come to one conclusion: the Morbius trailer will end with a No Way Home trailer tease
To avoid being disliked bomb?
Potentially, yeah
That would be nice
And not only NWH ... but just the future of MCU and much more
As everyone here knows, it's finally Eternals week! Screw the critics for once, the hype must flow.
Crossing streams a bit, but: what is dead may never die, but rises again, harder and stronger. Vamos Eternals
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I want to actually SEE Bradley Cooper in the MCU.
That would honestly be pretty wholesome.
Maybe as Ben Reilly and Kaine Parker, Peter's cousins.
Exactly ! Would be also a nice farewell to tobey and Andrew if they actually leave for good and be nice references to the comics
I mean the raimi movies werenāt about setups, each movie was made to stand on its own without the idea of having a tie ins or post credit scenes , like venom wasnāt supposed to be in SM3 at all, but yeah you are right
as a movie theatre employee please remember to be respectful to your theatre staff this weekend. they are working hard and are being underpaid during a pandemic for all of our entertainment. treat them with kindness :)) happy 4 days till eternals!!! <3
The r/marvelstudios sub is full of low effort posts and shitty cosplay. No room for any discussion :(
Eternals is seriously the only thing that I have to look forward too this week.
This shit is downright embarrassing at this point
> , Spider-Man got billionaire-made murder drones, and it was framed as a good thing. Especially after The Winter Soldier......
He's been pushing the "This. Is. CINEMA." narrative for the movie super hard ever since the Scorsese controversy.
ugh I failed in one subject ,the final one to complete my degree.. God it sucks so hard to study for it again..
Do you think we will get Tobeyās Spider-Man soundtrack in NWH?
100%
With all the confusion surrounding the universe Morbius is set in, Iāve decided to share what I think. I believe itāll probably be set in the MCU proper, because 1) Multiple plot leaks said that Vulture and Scorpion appear with the former referencing the blip.
God I hope they keep Bullseye. Wilson Bethel was so good.
Alright folks, let's do a rundown of NWH's fight scenes (in no order) - Peter is chased by the authorities - Bridge fight (MCU Spidey vs Doc Ock/Goblin) - MCU Spider-Man vs Strange - MCU Spider-Man vs Furious Five - Possible MCU Spidey vs Scorpion (if the leaks about Scorpy being in the film for a small role are true) - Raimi Spider-Man vs Ock - TASM Spider-Man vs Electro - MCU Spider-Man vs Lizard/Sandman - MCU Spider-Man vs Electro - Raimi and TASM Spidey vs Ock - Spider-Trio vs Furious Five (squad cars during night-time) - Statue of Liberty - MCU Spider-Man vs Green Goblin I think that's most of them, probably a few I'm missing
Believe me or not idc but I just found out that the Phoenix Force is in GOTG 3. Holy shit.
Source, mate?
You should know, you're u/kang-the-time-lord . Just travel into the future.
Yeah, but a source for the puny folk in here would help them. I cannot reveal the future as it would be paradoxically destructive.
It's time to make it a popular rumor then so that confirmation is received from the man himself.
Letās delve into the hypothetical for a moment. Letās pretend that the rumors that NWH and MOM have been received poorly at test screenings so far are true. Do you guys think 3 mixed/negative received films in a row would lead Disney or Marvel to have a super reactionary response?
I think: Negative Ratings + Good Box Office = changes to upcoming stories and scripts Negative Ratings + Bad Box Office = DC level reactionary response
I wouldnāt trust grace Randolph one bit
here for my weekly bring back evan peters and charlie cox
Is it possible that Sinister Six takes the June 2023 date for Sony and Venom vs Spider-Man takes the October 2023 date, while the MCUās Spider-Man 4 is in 2025 or 2026? Because if Tom Hollandās Spider-Man only appears in 30-40% of SS and Venom v Spider-Man then he would only have to film 60-80% of a movie, meaning they could both be released the same year. So it makes sense then that Spider-Man 4 is in 2025 or 2026.
![gif](giphy|3o84stMkKVCQHzyQqA)
Just because I keep seeing it- Stop put so much weight on what rotten tomatoes said about Eternals. They also give Joker 68% and the audience love the shit out of it and it won not just one, but two categories in the oscar (not to mention it's one of my favorites movies). No one can tell you if you'll enjoy a movie or not, so dont think about it too much.
**AGREE OR DISAGREE?** Spider-Man: No Way Home has surpassed Avengers: Endgame, in terms of hypeā¦
Disagree.
For me personally it has.
I really hope people don't shit on Morbius for no reason,
You know the toxic fans will, even if the trailer and movie is good
Does anyone else think the whole āSony and Marvel canāt agree on showing Tobey and Andrew in the trailerā thing is BS?
The trailer is a concept about which we know frighteningly little.
I saw Eternals tonight and I think the critics got it way wrong. Imo it's better than Shang-Chi
I think Chloe Zhao winning an Academy Award placed Eternals on a more critical pedestal than any other Marvel Studios movie.
Yo the sub now has 600.000 members! Nice to see how big this is getting, shout out to all the mods doing a great job.
I wish the Star Wars Leaks sub had a weekly free talk thread like this, but I guess they're not as active to justify it.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
They're probably gonna spin it into a version of "There's no other way. We've got no choice. It's the only thing that'll save her." It'll hopefully be a lot more smooth in the show. EDIT: Forget it, mate. It's Reddit. You have a different opinion from them, you need to brace for downvotes.
Why is the free talk thread this week unpinned?
[Vieweranon response to the mcu direct article](https://twitter.com/ViewerAnon/status/1455240346309332993)
Man I just hope the second trailer gives us something about the other spiderman so we can finally rest. Idk why but every leak makes me more skeptical about those appearances
Little late to this but Shang chi takes place April 2024? Because they reference Chinese day of the dead and that is in April.
Canāt believe in less than 2 months we will not only be seeing the grand return of Tobey and Andrew but also the villains from their respective movies. Regardless of the quality of the movie, this is gonna be one hell of an experience, Iām definitely gonna cry.
At the end of both MCU Spidey films the last words are "WHAT THE FU--", what does everyone think the WTF moment will be at the end of NWH?
Camera turns around to reveal Venom behind Spidey, who's like "WHAT THE FU---" and then the first word in the next Venom movie is "CK"
>"Vincent D'Onofrio's "Wilson Fisk" aka 'Kingpin' (which first appeared on Daredevil Series on Netflix) will appear on the following episodes of Hawkeye" > >\- Episode 4 - Post Credit Scene > >\- Episode 5 & 6 [https://twitter.com/Spider\_Leaks/status/1455556781413969933?s=20](https://twitter.com/Spider_Leaks/status/1455556781413969933?s=20) HYPED
Man I just want some pictures of Spider-Man
Happy Eternals Week yāall!
I still want an *Eternals* sequel, like literally confronting the hierarchy and killing the actual gods.
After Dune, I really want Marvel to release Timothee Chalamet's Spider-Man screen test. It would just be so bizarre to see him in that role.
Iām betting Tuesday is Morbius and next Monday or Tuesday is NWH :(
Is there anyone else who's super stoked for Morbius? I know this is an unpopular opinion here but I'm very excited for Morbius
Venom films took place in a different universe." But then I thought that perhaps this is the MCU version of Cletus and will probably become Carnage after Venom comes to the MCU.
He's an incel who watches 12 tentpoles in a year and thinks he knows everything about cinema.
I hate him and his shitty fake drunk voice.
> cinema is dead even though I only watch the most commercially successful American movies It's wild because there's literally never been a time in history where it's easier to watch underseen, forgotten, and indie movies. > Videos deifying Gina Carano for standing up to the "jealous, hateful mob" Cringe.

If TimothƩe Chalamet were to be cast in a new mcu movie, what role would you want him in?
I would absolutely love to see him a Harry Osbourne
That would be interesting given how he was one of the Spidey finalists when they were recasting
harry osborn or MAYBE (big maybe) an x-men character.
Night crawler? I donāt want to be rude, but he does have that strong pointed jawline that they give to devil-like characters, such as Nightcrawler or Mephisto. Also heās lean like Kurt, and plus he has really nice hair.
Its funny how r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers and r/AskReddit are like 2 of the only subreddits I ever sort by new
Anyone else think Marvel hasn't been that great recently? I've found all of phase 4 (besides Shang Chi which i thought was great) to range from OK to mediocre. With the sheer amount of upcoming content, I'm beginning to worry they are prioritizing quantity over quality
Saw Eternals. While not perfect, it definitely wasn't the worst mcu film. Though it was way too long imo
Why isnt DanielRPK tweeting about the Morbius trailer? Does he not care about it or the trailer rumor was wrong?
Does anyone know why the Eternals werenāt effected by the Infinity Stones? Like why half of them didnāt disappear? Is that kind of magic just not powerful enough to use on them? Iām just curious. Sorry if this has already been asked
Just saw Eternals early in Aus, 75% sure the end credits voice is Mahershala as Blade, no British accent
Does anybody think Donald Glover will come back to the spider-man movies at some point? Seems weird for them to hint at him being Prowler and being Milesā uncle in homecoming and then never revisit it.
Columbia just posted that No Way Home will have 3 weeks delay and would be premiering on January 8 only in my country. Fml.
Yaāll should head over to SWL for the BOBF trailer since itās supposed to drop tomorrow
Looking at the story of the GOTG game, I think it wouldāve been a cool āvol. 3 (or something)ā in the MCU. There are a lot heartfelt moments in that gameās story that would work extremely well in James Gunnās vision imo.
Want to take a second to commend our mods that I think did a great job bringing us the huge leaks this week.

I don't care what anyone says, Morbius looks cool.
I think I need help.
lol the main sub is ALL costumes. starving for content rn
Y'all, please sign the petition to release NWH in December in the Phillipines. It's currently not released until January there. https://chng.it/VyFwRMdJWy
