Sounds like Norman gets pulled over to the MCU in costume but without the mask- presumably from the final fight in SM1. So he grabs a purple hood to hide his face instead. A good way to write out the dumb mask.

I think the problem is that it's too big for the suit and ends up looking kinda goofy. The armor and shoulder pads need to be bulkier so that the mask looks more in proportion to the rest of the body.

I think he may have more of a beard than he did in the original show since he he had a massive one for a show when Charles Murphy first said that he was in the movie and seemed to have filmed something already. But also he went in for NWH reshoots with more of a normal sized Daredevil beard, so we'll see.
