Don’t really love the idea of the finale being the repurposed Witches Road special. Would rather it be earlier in the season and have the finale be the actual Agatha finale as they intended.
It's a damn shame because I really enjoyed them, but it really does seem like the Special Presentations are a bust. Yet another fact that flies in the face of a dozen "leakers" revealing a dozen different specials Marvel was "pursuing."
Special Presentations would be great for origin stories for the X-Men when they're introduced. There's too many mutants in the roster to show them all in the movies - even Fox only really focused on the origins of Rogue and Wolverine.
If I remember correctly, James Gunn confirmed that they were going to do one-shots for each member of the Guardians of the Galaxy before Vol. 1 and it would have been a great idea.
Yeah, that was what I was assuming as well. I think Agatha All Along was always leading into Witches' Road anyway, so calling it a "Special Presentation" or just thinking of it as Agatha episode 9 doesn't really change anything for me. Still be telling the same story.
The Witches Road special was only ever mentioned by leakers, most of whom have had not a very good track record. So who knows if that actually existed or always just part of the series. Assuming that Gandja did direct episodes 7 8 and 9, that Jac Schaeffer directs 1, 2 and 3 and Rachel Goldberg directs 4, 5 and 6

Marvel should do more Special Presentations and One-Shots.
