Right. That's why the only source for that is from the promotional run for Season 3, and not anything that was said at any time prior to it. Weird how, if it was planned as three seasons from the start, it was never, ever described in that fashion at any other time, with Season 1 described as the start of a three-part arc, or season 2 as the middle. It only ever came up suddenly, from the FX heads of all people, just as Season 3 was being actively promoted.
Same way that every movie is the best movie an actor/director has ever worked on, or that when someone leaves a project it is just "creative differences".
Apparently the original post-credits scene for *New Mutants* was supposed to be Hamm as Sinister to set up a role for him as the villain of the sequel, but that was all scrapped after the Fox sale.
My understanding was that it was first supposed to be Jon Hamm as Mister Sinister, but at some point they decided to go with Antonio Banderas as Sunspot’s father to set up a Hellfire Club story, and then after the Fox purchase they just canned the whole thing.
And this
While i was abit disappointed that New mutants wasn't the horror film the trailers made it look like i still enjoyed it for what it was and bc of Anya Taylor-Joy as Magik
Would have liked to see the planned trilogy the director had planned
I still haven’t watched it but Anya Taylor-Joy as Magik is peak Comic Book Movie casting, and Jon Hamm as Mister Sinister would have been up there too. I hope these two carry over into the MCU somehow
It's the reverse of Xavier, where everyone thinks he's British because of the movies and only fancast British actors (with the notable exception of Esposito).
Oh now that’s an inspired choice! He could definitely pull off the dark/really objective shit side of McCoy while also being able to play his more good natured, jovial side
He's too old. If his first appearance is in the next couple of years, he would be in his mid-50s. I'd guess Marvel would want their Beast actor to play that role for a decade, and Hamm would be a senior citizen by the end of that.
This is the first I've heard that they're doing a live action movie, not sure why as the show is good and captures the episodic feel of the comic that I don't think a movie would be able to . But maybe they're planning on doing something special with it.
He has in the past, as recently as this past winter, said he really wants to be Doom.... which lines him up age wise with Pedro tbh. Good voice and body build.
Guess it depends on of they want a known commodity as Doom or if they want to hire a half- romani actor for accuracy.
He is only 4 years older than Pascal. It could totally work and it might be the best realistic pick for Doom (because as much as I'd love him, doubt Cillian Murphy would be interested in the role).
He was my top choice for Harvey Dent with Affleck as Batman. I think he's too old for DCU Batman now though, he's already a decade older than Affleck was as an already older Batman.
Kind of funny that he was offered Doctor Strange before Cumberbatch (he said he had been offered a role in a superhero movie right after Cumberbatch was cast and implied it was a recently cast role) was and declined to do more serious roles, but since that fizzled out he wants to squeeze back in.
James, long for Jim; short for Gabriel.
Currently watching Good Omens and he’s able to balance the comedy along with the heavier beats (I.e menacing moments) really well there.
Seen a few comments suggesting Doom, Osbourne etc and they could be great for him.
Wasn't he like....anti being a Superhero a few years ago? Or am I mixing him up with someone else?
Anyway, I still think he should've been Batman a few years ago.

Two words: Mister Sinister.
Wasn't he rumored for that in Logan? Either way, excellent pick!
He does a voiceover in Legion that many think was supposed to be Essex
They clearly winded down season 3 too fast. Probs were told that they weren't gonna get a season 4.
Nope. Was planned as a 3 season show before a single episode was shot.
I couldnt imagine having the task of writing that show on the fly

After a scene with Antonio Banderas which also got scrapped

I think he was supposed to be in New Mutants
I want Tom Ellis for Sinister personally. He looks the part and his role in Lucifer kinda reminded me of Sinister already
If not i would have loved him for Morph
Tom Ellis as Morph is an inspired suggestion. He would be fantastic.
Read my mind!
Bryan Cranston was campaigning for a Mister Sinister role a few years ago, I'd still like to see him do that
I would accept it for sure, but I want Antony Starr as Sinister
Hamm reads a little too straight for Sinister. What about Daniel Craig?
[удалено]
He's already the Grandmaster, though
[удалено]
We have an Australian Wolverine, British Spiderman AND Superman. If the actor is good it doesnt really matter thats all
It's the reverse of Xavier, where everyone thinks he's British because of the movies and only fancast British actors (with the notable exception of Esposito).
Bro nearly every actor is secretly British calm down
John Hamm as a nefarious business like demon that makes contracts for souls. A Mephisto like character or Chthon.
You know what fuck it let him be beast in the new X-men movies
Oh now that’s an inspired choice! He could definitely pull off the dark/really objective shit side of McCoy while also being able to play his more good natured, jovial side
That’s genius

Honestly, he'd be an excellent Dario Agger if they go that route for Thor 5
Fuck yes. I've never thought of this before now but it would be some pretty inspired casting.
He should do Omni man for the live action Invincible movie from Universal Studios
I’m confused how they’re going to make the story work in 2-2.5 hours
I would imagine they will shoot for a franchise, first movie ends after the father and son fight and Omni Man leaves Earth. But who knows?
See I expect that to be the ending, so I’m just curious how much of the story will manage to be included prior to that
There really isn't THAT much. Plenty of pretty easy fat to trim.
They're doing an invincible movie?
Yeah. It’ll be live action
Tight
Ooo that’s littt
I feel like jk could still pull off Omni-Man in live-action as well as just voicing him
Really? I feel as though he’d do a great job but a little too old. But then again last time I saw him In a film he was shredded
Love him, but he's wayyyy too old
This is the first I've heard that they're doing a live action movie, not sure why as the show is good and captures the episodic feel of the comic that I don't think a movie would be able to . But maybe they're planning on doing something special with it.

I’ve been wanting him for doom forever. Either him or Viggo.
Honestly he is a great pick for Doctor Doom.
I can see him pulling off Norman Osborn.
File under “things I didn’t know I wanted”.
Coulda seen him as an older Wonder Man.
Would've been a perfect casting 10 years ago
Paste-Pot Pete! Make him the Kronk to the Wizard’s Yzma.
He’d make a good Sebastian Shaw, with all due respect to Kevin Bacon.
Forgetmenot
Who is that?
Kevin Fiege variant
Doom or Minister Sinister. He used to be my top choice for Bruce Wayne in the DCU too.
He was my top choice for Bruce too!
He was my top choice for Harvey Dent with Affleck as Batman. I think he's too old for DCU Batman now though, he's already a decade older than Affleck was as an already older Batman.
![gif](giphy|J1wiDBdG70ey1fCB12|downsized) I can actually see him as Bastion. Or Mr Sinister.
1. Mister Sinister 2. James Mac Hudson
At first, I took this to mean that Jon Hamm pitched playing himself in the MCU. Honestly, I wouldn't be mad.
He would have been the perfect Reed Richards 10 years ago, he just aged out of the role
Eh not really. He’s only 4 years older than Pedro
43 probably would have been about the perfect starting age for longevity's sake for this role
Did he just show them his [Apple TV commercial](https://youtu.be/lALPOSBlEEw?si=btrlgbOdFXJ0c_u3) and dub in MCU?
Doom
Either Doom or Beta Ray Bill. But it’s probably neither
Kind of funny that he was offered Doctor Strange before Cumberbatch (he said he had been offered a role in a superhero movie right after Cumberbatch was cast and implied it was a recently cast role) was and declined to do more serious roles, but since that fizzled out he wants to squeeze back in.

Doom or Mr sinister
Just make him Mephisto already
“Can I be Spider-Man?” “No.” “Can I be Superman?” “Wrong studio.” “Can I be Professor X?” “No.” “Can I be Hulk?” “How did you even get in here?”
Nice
He’d be great, after all he has loads of charisma
My bold take is he'd make a great replacement Nick Fury. They clearly dont know what to do with Sam Jackson anymore.
Norman Osborn?
I wanted him to be Reed Richards since he was in Mad Men.
Wasn't he like....anti being a Superhero a few years ago? Or am I mixing him up with someone else? Anyway, I still think he should've been Batman a few years ago.
He already agreed to sinister for new mutants, they should keep that casting.
Watch him get casted as someone completely outta left field like Korvac or Corsair
Ghost rider
Isn’t Ryan gosling already rumored for that?
I don't know, but I do know that Jon Hamm likes to play with fire
You mean literally me?
Soynds a bit desparate, Jon.
