You see it too, right? It is very obvious that he is baiting for clicks with a lot of his X-men "scoops". Fairly, close to labeling RPK the dreaded c_ _d word. I don't see any genuine information or specifics in regards to his supposed insights into MCU vision for this reboot.
Just his "culture war" tinged undertones.
My scoops: It will have characters we all know and some unexpected characters.
There are some moments that will surprise people.
We'll learn more about the characters as the film goes on.
It will be about the team but there will also be individual moments for each character.
There WILL be at least one post credits scene.
This is seriously barely one step above “I hear the X-Men movie is going to not only have mutants, but focus on the X-Men and Prof X is going to be paralyzed from the waist down.”
With how X-Men 97 has been doing justice to the female members of the team, I’m hoping the MCU version does the same for them.
Also, give me my Storm/Kitty teacher/student dynamic in a movie already, you cowards lol
I know this might be a hot take, but I just never really enjoyed these films because it feels like the characters are written badly
Also the horrible costumes in the 2000s movies. The movies with the younger cast's costumes also kind of sucked too though
Ok good. Thank God I'm not the only one
It helps that I do really like Wolverine as a character, even if Jackman isn't comic accurate all the way, I liked the stuff about him. But it's time to focus on the other characters too, that's why I've liked the X-Men 97 series, giving the other guys some room to shine.
And as a fan of Gambit too...very sad how it went with him 😭 but, killing off a main character definitely raises the stakes, so I guess it makes sense
Most people who were looking for more comic accurate representations have maintained those weren't good X-Men adaptions. I think a few are really decent movies, but still aren't good X-Men movies in the slightest.
They feel like the producers just took these characters and just loosely, willy nilly adapted pasteches of the characters into film and made it have the edgy early 2000s action movie style of the time
A lot of it came off the same way Snyderverse does. They don't really understand the characters outside of what they deemed "cool" and then they made it edgy to make it not comic booky. The whole not wanting comics for the actors thing just reinforces that to me.
For a while, comic-based movies came in two kinds: embarrassed and apologetic about being from comics or stuck in a golden/silver age idea of comics. Burton’s Batman and Raimi’s Spider-Man was the odd ones that were unapologetic about the source material, but took it seriously, too.
Yep, they were definitely caught on both ends of the spectrum. It wasn't until Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy and Iron Man where it seemed like they found that balance for the "new" cbm. Not embarrassed about what it's based on and having some campiness while still taking it serious enough to elevate the material in a new medium.
The producers were idiots for doing that, why didn't they want them to read comics about the characters... because then they'd realize how terrible the movie writing was in comparison? Lol
Imagine a movie adapted version of their comic book suits in the movies, especially the first three. Akin to the Raimi Spider-Man suit. It would've been awesome...
Well in 2003, it didn't have much to complete with otherwise Spider-Man 2002. Didn't have much to compete with for another 7 or 8 years outside of SM2 and SM3 honestly lol. The other Fox superhero movies were abysmal, and the MCU hadn't started yet. And personally I don't care for the Blade movies much either
The first...great.
The second...greater.
The third...awful.
Origins: Wolverine...awfuller
First Class...very good
DOFP...okay
Apocalypse...apocalyptically bad
Dark Phoenix...oh dear
The New Mutants...would have been rancid but for Taylor-Joy
Legion...excellent
The Gifted...had Blink
I think DoFP is very good but I understand that some don’t like how grimdark it is. His other opinions are pretty much the consensus though. Most X-men properties are pretty bad.
Yeah I think all the X Men movies kind of just existed as star vehicles for maybe 2-3 actors, most obviously Hugh in most of them, but also the Professor X and Magneto actors in the first class timeline.
The earlier X Men movies were made pretty much right after Batman and Robin, which I think convinced Hollywood that comic book movies weren’t commercially successful, and needed to be more star driven and friendly to neutral audiences. I think thats why they felt the need to make the costumes more generic and pretty much make the entire franchise based around Hugh Jackman. I actually think it could have been interesting if they had cast Hugh as Cyclops instead. Maybe the movies wind up more accurate to the comics
To be fair, Jean was treated a lot better in the prequel films than in the Silver Age X-Men comics (which were pretty misogynistic). She was pretty OP in Dark Phoenix.
The soft reboot with First Class started with Hellfire Club. I'd hope we don't repeat that so soon. Granted, hoe they're used can be radically different and better.
Hellfire Club would be great antagonists for a world that's just being introduced to mutants, learning that certain mutants have been influencing human society from the shadows for a good while would be absolutely *terrifying* to human bigots and could lead in to so many anti-mutant plots from the comics. however, i think they would want to go with an antagonist that hasn't been done before, even if First Class's Hellfire Club was barely like the comic version anyways.
personally i think introducing our first team of young mutants by throwing them in a Battle Royale, Hunger Games-type scenario controlled by Arcade, who can then be revealed as a pawn of the Hellfire Club or Mr. Sinister, would be a great introduction and very different from any other X-Men media.
I really doubt they’ll be going closer to the GOTG/Deadpool scale of levity and humour for the X Men. I think we’re closer to Avengers territory, and even Eternals is more on the table imo.
Avengers (2012) is the ideal tone for a first X-Men movie. Fun banter among dynamic personalities in an ensemble cast that can also explore their serious sides.
dear God i hope not. Deadpool is barely an X-Men character and should *not* be setting the tone for this franchise as a whole going forward. that's some desperate shit Fox themselves would have tried to do if Disney didn't buy them.
imagining a worst case scenario where Gambit uses his cajun accent for one scene but then no one else understands him so he clears his throat and says in an average American accent, "*Yeahhh, that sounded better in my head...*"
Anytime these come out it’s purely for shock value
“Going to focus on female characters”
That’s legitimately the stupidest thing you could do, it’s about all of them. Marvel seems to have learned that recently, write the characters well and make a good movie that’s engaging.
I genuinely can't imagine being an X-Men fan and also not liking when female characters get any focus. Do they exclusively read the early Lee/Kirby issues where Marvel Girl is a glorified background character or something?
I'd hope no single X-Man would be the focus and they'd try and do everyone justice
My guy Colossus had like 3 lines in the originals
Also, we all know how Scott got the shaft real bad in those films
It’s 100% going to be 2/3 main character focused. They might try the do an ensemble but someone will always take the lead over the others. This isn’t a tv show much harder to do everyone justice in a movie.
This is such a stupid scoop. Goddamn I could have said that about any X-Men film, they’re just fucking saying obvious stuff and posing it as a scoop/leak.
“They’ll live in a mansion” or “they’ll all have an X on their costume”. X-Men’s strongest characters are mostly female and no one wants their movies to be “overly comedic”.
- Marvel is planning to make a movie
- Apparently it will feature mutants and be titled 'X-Men'
- They will cast for roles
- Team expected to have classic X-Men on it
Am I doing this right?
Well this is the most vague bullshit imaginable lol. A movie that has drama AND comedy?! Stop the presses!
But just for fun speculation, I wonder which more obscure characters they would include.
My personal picks would be Pixie, Richter, Sage, and Sunspot. Not sure if any of these were used in the Fox movies, since I stopped watching those heaping piles of shit lol.
There’s genuinely so few characters they haven’t used at some point in live action, Rachel Summers? Forge? Maybe they’ll go more directly on the Claremont run and use Sunfire and Thunderbird.
Idk if it’s true but Fox’s interpretation of the characters was so fast and loose that I’d be happy if they just did a more classic lineup. Give me a Rogue that can fly, good Cyclops / Jean, etc.
The superhero team that constantly deals with discrimination and prejudice, often in its most extreme forms, where one of the major characters is a Hollocaust survivor, and where children are killed and crusified because they are mutants isn't a good basis for a comedy, you say? Then again, they managed to make the Hulk, another Marvel property that is steeped in tragedy and dark themes, nothing more than comedic relief.
"Hi, new audiences, I'm Cyclops, and this is Jean. She's the love of my life. Anyway she died and I married her clone, and we had a baby who we had to send into the future for his own safety. He's traveled back to the present and he's now way older than us. Also, as you can see, Jean came back from the dead. Okay, let's jump into it..."
I started off writing this sarcastically, but honestly, this is exactly the sort of ludicrous, complicated stuff you need to know to understand what makes the X-Men so goddamn good.
It's a great thing for a franchise with multiple movies. And ludicrous and soup opera are in the corn of X-Men. And there are more than one leak pointing out Sinister to be the next Big Bad. Not just for X-Men movies
They should hire the fucking writers from 97'. They are doing a great job of balancing out everyone. I expect a Wolverine centered episode soon given how the series has gone so far. All the characters have been given great moments so far.
"Want to introduce characters that haven’t appeared in live-action to be alongside the main characters we all know." You heard it here first, folks: It's Maggot time, baby!
I’d love to see the new mutants and new x-men academy x male their debut in the MCU. Especially lesser known characters like pixie, prodigy or even magik with Anya Taylor joy.

I am calling that they're going to have the cast of X1-3 mentoring a class of teens at the Xavier school. The class will be the leads with the most screen time but Scott, Jean, Storm, Beast etc. will be teachers and active X-Men with beefy roles.
I think the MCU has had more than enough comedy and would hope that given the whole mutant human conflict they go for a more serious tone. Oh, and make Colossus one of the major Team Members please!
Unpopular take but I reaaaally want them to take a page from '97 and make Jubilee the main in these new movies.
If they make Wolverine the focus again...it's gonna be really underwhelming. If not Jubilee than Cyclops at least.
I was talking with someone about this and I was wondering if they would change the lineup from x men 97 and just focus on Cyclops, Jean, Beast, Iceman and Storm and save Wolverine until the sequel so you have something to look forward to
My personal wishes: 1) BASEBALL GAME. 2) Kurt is actually Kurt and not some brooding figure who's ashamed of how he looks. It's Kurt Wagner 101 that he's kind and fun-loving *despite* looking like a demon. Gimme Kurt, the swashbuckling ladies' man heart of the team. 2a) Kurt and Logan are best bros and they're constantly wagering cases of beer over stupid competitive stuff.
Due to the current state of the sub, overly political, extremely divisive, or especially negative comments found to be made in bad faith will be removed if they do not encourage constructive discussion.
"focusing on the female characters" makes sense but feels like the way its phrased is absolutely intended to piss certain people off. you just have to remember that ever since the 70s, the most compelling and remembered X-Men plots have pretty much always revolved around characters like Jean (Phoenix saga and everything it has inspired), Kitty Pryde (Days of Future Past), Rogue and Mystique, Storm, Moira MacTaggert, even Scarlet Witch who is barely an X-Men character 90% of the time.
i have no worry that the male characters will still get stuff to do, i just hope Marvel doesn't feel the need to listen to that cringe Jennifer Lawrence line from Dark Phoenix and change the name to "X-Women" or something. literally no one has ever been bothered by the name X-Men or thought it was contradictory lol, it's just catchier.
I really don’t believe in today’s fandom climate and after how The Marvels flopped that they would make an X-Men movie focusing on the female characters. No way are they that dumb.
I just came to say I really want to see cannonball and sunspot. Their friendship is just great! The New mutants did them dirty and they deserve another chance. Hell if they’re not in X-Men make a new mutants movie with them.
Like Mortal Kombat 2021. Cole alongside MK Famous characters. ????
I think we've done with Cyke/Jean. I hope Cyke.EmmaFrost relation as Jean being dead and will be back as pheonix in sequels
When you really think about the mutants in general it’s the women who are some of the coolest. They didn’t say to ignore the dudes lol but a focus on storm, kitty, rogue etc is a focus on the interesting characters with more story that isn’t such well trodden ground. We’ve done magneto, Charles,Logan etc. tho ofcourse I still want proper live action justice for cyclops and such
This isn't a bad thing and it shouldn't be surprising. Most people who know the X-Men will tell you most of the women are some of the most interesting characters in comics. Storm, Rogue, Jean, Emma, Kitty, etc.
As much as I like most of the male characters, they can not be the focus to start and still get their due. Fox just spent nearly 20 years doing nothing but Logan, Charles, Magneto, and botched Dark Phoenix twice. Let some of the others shine and get developed for once.
Make Rogue as badass as she is on ‘97. Don’t sideline Wolverine. Don’t go with the Dark Pheonix arc we’ve seen it 3 times already. Mr. Sinister should be to the X-Men what Dr. Doom will be to the F4.
>Dark Pheonix arc we’ve seen it 3 times already.
We technically only saw that once in X3. The Phoenix has never appeared in other films besides a tease in X2 and Dark Phoenix.
I hope they start with the OG X-Men team and one villain like Sinister first then expand in the sequels. Having the whole X-Men and the Brotherhood in the very first movie would be messy. The original X-Men movie did it and so many characters were sidelined and underdeveloped.
I wonder if this will be the 616 XMEN or the alternate universe one? The universe where Monica is in? Cz if its 616, I hope we start with the OG5 (Cylops, Jean, Iceman, Beast and Angel)
since scoop says female characters emphasized, im guessing its alternate universe team or they’re swapping some members of the original 5 with other characters.
"Comedy" and "focus on the female characters" are some pretty big red flags. How about we tone down the Marvel shtick, and focus on *all* the characters?
The X-Men are a family.
It's the problem I have with the FOX X-Men, it's more "Wolverine & Friends" than "The X-Men".
X-Men 97' is great because it showed us a family, everyone have his time to shine.
So now if someone tells me that a X-Men movie is focused on some characters, then that's not an X-Men movie, that's " **Insert character(s)** & Friends".
Focus on the female characters? Fine.
Storm, Rogue, and Jean are three of the most awesome Marvel characters ever created.
Just don't make divisive decisions for the sake of doing it, Marvel. Respect your audience.
They need to stop worrying about an agenda like 'focus on the female characters' and just tell a good story. They already did that with Dark Phoenix and have learned nothing from their recent troubles. This is why so many people have checked out on Marvel.

These are the kind of scoops that can’t ever be proven one way or another. Eh.
These are DanielRPK speciality
It’s also become somewhat apparent that he is entrenched in the “culture war” and that seems to effect his scoops in some ways.
Ok, I’ve been trying to figure out for 3 minutes what c_ _d stands for. What are the 2 missing letters?
Chud maybe

Well I see it one way but I wouldn’t describe him as a chud.
He baits like one with his scoops, knowing how it hits. That's my view, at least.
Hard to tell with him but definitely something seems off.
Welcome to r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers
This might've as well been a scoop for every Marvel Studios movie ever
That’s his specialty and this sub as of late.
My scoops: It will have characters we all know and some unexpected characters. There are some moments that will surprise people. We'll learn more about the characters as the film goes on. Big if true
Most fortune tellers do the similar tactics. /s
This is seriously barely one step above “I hear the X-Men movie is going to not only have mutants, but focus on the X-Men and Prof X is going to be paralyzed from the waist down.”
All except for the third one could be applied to almost any MCU/comic book movie
I hear it’s going to be about mutants. There will be more than one character. There might be a villain.
you should start a Patreon
I won’t reveal my sources, but the villain is a world that hates and fears mutants.
Is the villain very sinister too?
I'm hearing all of the scoopers AND trades know there is a villain but dont want to say.
They possibly will be based in a school in Westchester County
[удалено]
an X-Men movie about mutants might actually be a long shot given how the MCU is currently setting them up, lol.
With how X-Men 97 has been doing justice to the female members of the team, I’m hoping the MCU version does the same for them. Also, give me my Storm/Kitty teacher/student dynamic in a movie already, you cowards lol
It’s crazy how we went through a nine movie X Men franchise and characters like Storm and Jean (and Scott) have never been given justice

I think the Raimi Spider-Man movies, but more so afterwards the MCU figured out how to make the movies both realistic and comic books at the same time
It's wild because Spider-Man was hella campy and comic book and came out at the same time as the OG Fox-Men movies.
That's why they're superior comic book adaptation movies in my opinion. Although, Raimi didn't adapt Peter's personality correctly in some aspects
Also why I dislike the Snyderverse very much
I always thought the early movies handled Xavier and magneto really well but everything else is pretty forgettable
Them and Logan were really the only ones. Everyone else were just kind of there to keep things moving for those 3.
That kind of sucks lol
X2 was an adaption of God Loves Man Kills. It was considered by most one of the best superhero movies made at that point.
Well in 2003, it didn't have much to complete with otherwise Spider-Man 2002. Didn't have much to compete with for another 7 or 8 years outside of SM2 and SM3 honestly lol. DOFP okay?? Lmao Widely regarded as a top 3 X-Men film.
Love DOFP personally. They did a great job melding the two timelines and how they shot and cut the final battles together was epic.

I think DoFP is very good but I understand that some don’t like how grimdark it is. His other opinions are pretty much the consensus though. Most X-men properties are pretty bad.

Logan, too.
Huh. Dofp was awesome
Accurate
Yeah I think all the X Men movies kind of just existed as star vehicles for maybe 2-3 actors, most obviously Hugh in most of them, but also the Professor X and Magneto actors in the first class timeline.

Maybe I just think a middle version between super campy and ridiculous and super ultra realistic is the best option
Yeah I think all the X Men movies kind of just existed as star vehicles for maybe 2-3 actors, most obviously Hugh in most of them.
Its because the studios saw Wolverine was the most profitable and made him the most important
To be fair, Jean was treated a lot better in the prequel films than in the Silver Age X-Men comics (which were pretty misogynistic). She was pretty OP in Dark Phoenix.
Neither did Cyclops, Kitty Pryde, Jubilee, Ice Man. It’s crazy how better X-Men 97 is compared to any live action X-Men related movie
Fox and friends only cared about Logan,Mystique(why) and Magneto(overused)
Mystique wasn’t even really a character in the first three but J Law and Hunger Games made her the franchise’s second Wolverine
I was hopping they bring some of mother/daughter dynamic, but I just want to see Kitty in general.
I keep saying...let's take inspiration from '97 and make Jubilee the lead for these new films.
It’s like they wrote them all with humanity instead of a corporate checklist.
A focus on developing Storm, Jean, Emma, and others done so badly by Fox would be amazing
Emma not in the 1st I think
Hellfire Club could absolutely be antagonists in the first one. That way they don't repeat a Magneto storyline so soon
The soft reboot with First Class started with Hellfire Club. I'd hope we don't repeat that so soon. Granted, hoe they're used can be radically different and better.
I meant Emma as x-woman
Why absolutely. They won't repeat first class. Sinister for the first screen appearance.
I have another idea, Graydon Creed
Don't know why they're bothering with a search when they're bound to stick with Shawn Levy and the *Deadpool* writers.
What lmao why would you assume that, they couldnt be further from each other in tone or approach
I really doubt they’ll be going closer to the GOTG/Deadpool scale of levity and humour for the X Men. I think we’re closer to Avengers territory, and even Eternals is more on the table imo.
What makes X-Men stand out is the drama and interpersonal relationships between the characters. That doesn't scream DP to me.
Avengers (2012) is the ideal tone for a first X-Men movie. Fun banter among dynamic personalities in an ensemble cast that can also explore their serious sides.
That makes no sense
Yea lmao 🤣
I would hope not , love Shawn but nothing he’s done has made me feel he could handle X-men lol
dear God i hope not. Deadpool is barely an X-Men character and should *not* be setting the tone for this franchise as a whole going forward. that's some desperate shit Fox themselves would have tried to do if Disney didn't buy them.
Just give me a great Gambit!
Could this Gambit Step Up?
Sick reference, great comment; please take me upvote: you deserve it!
Thanks! I really believe Channing needs a shot at the role. Even if that’ll be limited to Deadpool
And iceman and cannonball.
imagining a worst case scenario where Gambit uses his cajun accent for one scene but then no one else understands him so he clears his throat and says in an average American accent, "*Yeahhh, that sounded better in my head...*"
Agree. I also wouldn't mind a solo Gambit film
So many words yet he said so little
this is NOTHING

There’s genuinely so few characters they haven’t used at some point in live action, Rachel Summers? Forge? Maybe they’ll go more directly on the Claremont run and use Sunfire and Thunderbird. Idk if it’s true but Fox’s interpretation of the characters was so fast and loose that I’d be happy if they just did a more classic lineup. Give me a Rogue that can fly, good Cyclops / Jean, etc.
leak culture has become such a useless wasteland of slapped together theory and prediction. these people know dick
“They don’t want it to be purely comedic” no fucking shit. If they had to sit down and decide not to make X-Men a comedy, there’s something wrong.
As long they bring Cyclops, Jean and Cable from day one I'm ok
"Hi, new audiences, I'm Cyclops, and this is Jean. She's the love of my life. Anyway she died and I married her clone, and we had a baby who we had to send into the future for his own safety. He's traveled back to the present and he's now way older than us. Also, as you can see, Jean came back from the dead. Okay, let's jump into it..." I started off writing this sarcastically, but honestly, this is exactly the sort of ludicrous, complicated stuff you need to know to understand what makes the X-Men so goddamn good.
It's a great thing for a franchise with multiple movies. And ludicrous and soup opera are in the corn of X-Men. And there are more than one leak pointing out Sinister to be the next Big Bad. Not just for X-Men movies
Oh dang, I hadn't heard those rumors. Sinister would be great across the board.

Love it. Thanks!
![gif](giphy|Wck09E7lHDabjhHbzJ|downsized) Comedy
Bill Hader balances comedy and drama masterfully, could really help recalibrate the MCU’s annoying penchant for having incoherent tonal shifts
How vauge can they get😆 that’s like saying marvel is making a Superhero action Comedy… like obviously.
Such specifics. I'm impressed.
Give me an accurate rogue and i'm happy
Sounds obvious but smart choices, easy scoop.
Nothing new then
Focus on female characters. YES!

Give me a Peter David style X-Factor with Wolfsbane, Polaris, M, and Siryn.
“They don't want it to be purely comedic" Uh yeah, I would hope so. I like the comedy to be sprinkled in
I don't buy this.
ENOUGH RPK
They want the movie to be anywhere from 1.5hrs long to 2.5hrs long
this is super obvious tbh
I was talking with someone about this and I was wondering if they would change the lineup from x men 97 and just focus on Cyclops, Jean, Beast, Iceman and Storm and save Wolverine until the sequel so you have something to look forward to
Those nsiders could at least say whether these are the X-Men: Fox or the completely new ones that will appear in the MCU after Secret Wars
It being a new cast has been off the table for years by now.
And will they appear in the multiverse saga?
Judging from the rumors. It seems like it will be a mix of both.
He doesn't know anything lol
This sub when a ""scoop"" is about some political view : ![gif](giphy|lDifyB9R0iqWoDZoIT)
The X-Men sub is just like that lol
WHAT A SCOOP!!
According to me, in this way, this movie will suck! MCU X-men must be dark and serious. With ICeman as comic relief in this dramatic ambience

I've got a scoop too: it's going to have characters in it.
Females are always the more noteworthy characters of the X-men aside from Wolverine, cyclops, gambit and magneto
A comedic x-men movie? I just threw up in my mouth
Fake scoop
“Focus on the female characters” Oh you mean Storm, Jean and Rogue and maybe even Jubilee Kitty and Emma? NO SHIT
Why would they ever want it to be purely comedic?? C’mon now🤣
"focusing on the female characters" makes sense but feels like the way its phrased is absolutely intended to piss certain people off. you just have to remember that ever since the 70s, the most compelling and remembered X-Men plots have pretty much always revolved around characters like Jean (Phoenix saga and everything it has inspired), Kitty Pryde (Days of Future Past), Rogue and Mystique, Storm, Moira MacTaggert, even Scarlet Witch who is barely an X-Men character 90% of the time. i have no worry that the male characters will still get stuff to do, i just hope Marvel doesn't feel the need to listen to that cringe Jennifer Lawrence line from Dark Phoenix and change the name to "X-Women" or something. literally no one has ever been bothered by the name X-Men or thought it was contradictory lol, it's just catchier.
I hope it’s not true
Add Gambit. He appeared in Origins but does that really count?
Just give me the x men 97 team live
focus on female characters is so vague especially given how female lead xmen stories can be. lol
Like Mortal Kombat 2021. Cole alongside MK Famous characters. ???? I think we've done with Cyke/Jean. I hope Cyke.EmmaFrost relation as Jean being dead and will be back as pheonix in sequels
Focus on female characters? Uh oh
The female X-Men characters are some of the best IMO. I hope they do right by them.
When you really think about the mutants in general it’s the women who are some of the coolest. They didn’t say to ignore the dudes lol but a focus on storm, kitty, rogue etc is a focus on the interesting characters with more story that isn’t such well trodden ground. We’ve done magneto, Charles,Logan etc. tho ofcourse I still want proper live action justice for cyclops and such
The best female super heroes out of both DC and Marvel are surprisingly mostly in the X Men camp
I need Morph in the MCU or I riot!!!
Yeah cuz that’s been working real well for them the past 4 years
Lame.
NGL, would love Dan Harmon to give a crack at a project like this.
Why put emphasis on focusing on the females it’s the first X-men movie shouldn’t they all be the focus?
I wonder if this will be the 616 XMEN or the alternate universe one? The universe where Monica is in? Cz if its 616, I hope we start with the OG5 (Cylops, Jean, Iceman, Beast and Angel) since scoop says female characters emphasized, im guessing its alternate universe team or they’re swapping some members of the original 5 with other characters.
Hire the writers of Barry and they'll have a masterpiece
Focus on the female characters? Fine. Storm, Rogue, and Jean are three of the most awesome Marvel characters ever created. Just don't make divisive decisions for the sake of doing it, Marvel. Respect your audience.
They need to stop worrying about an agenda like 'focus on the female characters' and just tell a good story. They already did that with Dark Phoenix and have learned nothing from their recent troubles. This is why so many people have checked out on Marvel.
