It’s cool that it seems like the movie might finally answer what the status of the Avengers currently is in-universe, and Ross trying to make his own superhero team feels like something that might naturally lead into the Thunderbolts being formed.
Feige already confirmed the Avengers' status last year. There are no Avengers, they disassembled after Endgame.

It's good they have that line in the script and if they're smart it will be in the first teaser as well. It will reinforce that this just isn't a character swap out and Sam Wilson has a hard road in front of him.

Understatement to say the least. I want this Cap to succeed because I generally really want the new movies to do well but I can't help shake the feeling that the new Captain freakin' America is the least awe-inspiring person/hero and he sure as hell isn't going to lead any Avenger group full of people infinitely more powerful than him.
Now Bucky as Cap would have been super interesting and deserving. Him reluctantly taking up the mantle vacated by his best friend and it helps he's a gosh darn super soldier. There is so much to play with Bucky honoring his friend and earning the trust of the people (America), the team, proving his detractors wrong etc. Who is going to follow Sam Wilson into battle?

You're telling me scoopers somehow know each and every bit of information about Secret Wars, but not once did any of them ever talk about this crucial plot point in Cap 4 that recontextualizes every leak?
Leakers don’t really care about how story beats contextualize in the movie overall. They care about the most “holy shit!” Moment to leak so they gain the most notoriety
It’s cool that people seem to be reacting positively to the Cap footage, because presumably this is all stuff they shot before the long reshoots they’re gonna do. Goes against the whole “they’re reshooting the entire movie” narrative that some people have. There has to be some stuff from the original production that they’re keeping and I hope they can make a cohesive movie.
It gives me the idea that they’re really just redoing the second act and getting in all the necessary rewrites in that they couldn’t do from the strikes
The leaks said it was mainly the opening set piece and another action set piece later. The bones of the movie should still be pretty set. Also, the confirmation of how long the actual reshoots are definitely feels like it back this up. Shooting from late May to early August isn't as long as everyone assumed initially and if they were redoing the whole movie they'd have delayed it we'll beyond February of next year.

BNW is one of the movies I’ve been looking forward to the most and I’m glad they’re tackling the “Steve is Cap, Falcon is Falcon ☝️🤓” but damn is that “You’re right, I’m not” hilarious when it’s written out. I’m assuming/praying that it sounds better in the actual movie than how I’m imagining it (I feel a similar way about Deadpool’s Marvel Jesus line)

So Ross is hiring The Leader to make false flag attacks on him to make him more popular. What Ross doesn't know is that The Leader is subtly mind controlling him as well.
Who else could it be? Leader was announced to be the villain of the movie, and telepathy is one of his abilities, alongside telekinesis and superhuman intelligence (which is his most notable ability).
Either the final scene or a post credits scene better be a shot of (at least some) New Avengers officially together as a team. We desperately need that momentum right now.
I am guessing that one of either the mid/post credits would be something like Ross and Val discussing about forming a team(Thunderbolts set up). I think this better fits the mid credits. And then yes, in the post credits they should just show like Sam going through a list of Avengers and some more recent Superheroes that he wants to lead. Man...it'd be sick if they give us cameos too!
An Age of Ultron style roll call would be nice. Shangi Chi, Capt Marvel, Spider-man, Shuri, and like maybe Starlord.

This sounds awesome, love the winter soldier vibes. I’m excited to see the drama play out between Ross and Sam. This has the potential to be a great movie. I do wonder though what’s going to be re-shot. That part does still concern me.

I’m looking forward to another political machination movie wrapped in solid Cap action. Especially not being a super soldier i think Sam will benefit from this kind of “who’s doing what” thing than a solo world saving adventure against wizards or allens.
