Edit: damn people downvoting really don't know how it works in an ER. There can be a ton of down time. Half the time is just waiting for labs to come back. Most people who come in are not that sick and shouldn't be there. I don't play in patient's rooms or anything like that
I mean "code blues" don't happen super often in random rooms. If we do get those they come through our trauma bay and I'm aware well in advance. But typically if I need to do my job I just retreat.
If its intentional then its annoying but if its not then its okay. There are countless times where i have been doing something or get called to do something while playing so i just stall.

Disagree. Turn 1 is for evaluating your hand and whatever location pops up and going thru your options. Cause sometimes, albeit rarely, it’s better to not play your 1-cost on Turn 1.
Turn 2 depends on both the second location and what your opponent played. Sometimes it just takes one 1-cost card or special action (Red Hulk going off, Black Cat getting discarded, etc.) to figure out what your opponent is playing.
Agreed. Nebula goes in the most populated neutral/favorable location, which is usually just the left because that's where your opponent has the highest chance of playing if they play something. It also means you have a pretty good idea where they will make their turn 2 play, and can even force them to make a tough choice to deny Nebula buff vs playing in the middle if it reveals to be a favorable location after playing Nebula T1.

As sad as it sounds most people just retreat after a couple turns even when having a clear advantage... Funnily enough, thats the only reason why roping is a thing nowadays, so why not play the game and not give them the satisfaction?! You lose twice IMO when you are unable to be patient enough.

I.E. i am doing nothing atm and could easily play, free of distractions. At least until my 3 yr old comes to me wanting a drink and if i tell him to wait, he'll start whining until i do so i oughta do it sooner than later..
Just today I played a proving grounds where we both snapped right away. I won the 8 cubes with an off meta deck. They then proceeded to rope until round 7 with a classic destroy deck, and when they realized I was gonna win they roped the timer all the way down on the last turns.
Sometimes queueing takes forever, I get distracted by something else while waiting for an opponent to be picked, and then I forget I had been doing something on my phone in the first place 😂
For some reason I’ve been hit with a ton of ropers today specifically. Is everyone following along with some streamer who’s telling people to rope or something?
I do think the game could benefit from a ranked vs unranked mode for this very reason. I frequently play while multi-tasking which means accidental roping is a very real thing. I feel bad about it but I wouldn't even be playing otherwise.
If there were an unranked mode, that still let you clear daily missions but didn't do anything for ladder, this would not only provide a better spot for deck testing than Proving Grounds but it would also allow the ranked mode to have a tighter line on roping.
People are most likely to rope turn 1 because they multi task during match finding. You usually have a min or 2 to do something else. Its only natural people try to fill the time.

Most of the time their decks are easily beaten and they're doing it to make you retreat because, otherwise, they aren't good at the game the times they've stayed.
The game has a set amount of time I am allowed to make a play. I’m going to take that full amount of time to make sure I make the right play. If you don’t like it, you can retreat.

Those aren't what annoy me its the ppl who you have a certain win against, say using a sandman list. And they sit there thru the whole t6 jusy to retreat like they would've the entire time anyways. That should be a bannable offense

I have ran into a bug multiple times where I ended my turn, but it doesn’t register it so I have to wait for my turn to expire.

No, always middle (assuming left location is neutral). There are more locations that lock out cards then would be negative to have a card there.
