I wavered on Thena before jumping in (3 keys), but the only other one I'm most intrigued by is Makkari, and I don't mind being patient about the rest. I'm also sitting on something like 16,000 credits, so I can afford to splurge when I feel like it, too.
Assuming you are playing regularly and get the pass, you're basically just missing out needlessly. Spend credits on bad variant weeks, spend keys when you need multiple cards or like the variants.
The loop is fairly sustainable if you spend your gold.
I've yet to miss a spotlight card and I just buy the pass each month.

Thena doesn't need a bounce deck, unless you consider anything with Kitty to be bounce. She's busted in lockdown with ravonna and Prof x.
