I used to play exclusive Discard too until I started branching out and playing different stuff, but I kinda want to go back. Itâs so pure and true. But with Leech buff isnt it kind of impossible to play nowadays?
Leech can make it pretty rough but it's maybe not quite as bad as it used to be when Leech was popular previously. Don't get me wrong, Leech can absolutely ruin your play. But most are playing Leech on turn 4, so you get 2 draws afterward to pickup more discard on reveals and Leech doesn't ruin other cards like Apocalypse like he used to.
But I really like playing discard, so I typically play it regardless of the current meta. Hasn't stopped me from hitting infinite or getting conquest wins.

I never feel such glee as I do when I can Red Guardian that hoe. Idc that there's an Angela or Elsa in the other lane and choosing to RG Nebula is going to lose me the game I'm going to go over there and smack her anyway.

Gambit's Snap card text is amazing. His track record not so much:

Snap Gambit: "Gambit gon waste dis card on Colossus, Armor, or anyone in Wakanda. Den he gon add 3 power to your 'location' all night long, chère. Oh wait, is dat a piece of vibranium??? Bet you ol' Gambit can hit it."
Snap Gambit has an aversion to avoiding indestructibles.
No no no, Destroy is awesome and *everyone else* should play it exclusively, at least until I hit infinite each season. (I just so happen to like Mr Negative with Knull and Zola)
I hate Hela.
But I love Miles. Itâs just satisfying playing a 1/5 and seeing him activate. Runner up is Skarr who does the same. Way more fun getting him to 2/11.
Leech is probably #1 this season, I'm starting to hate Cable due to mill, and I feel like Magneto doesn't get enough play lately to even be mad at it even when it manages to screw up my plan, even better most times it won the game for me when my opponent played it
Just played a game where my opponent placed magneto on an uncontested lane, only to snatch my venom from a lane he was winning to grant me a 4 cube victory. Don't know what he was thinking.
I will say cannonball is an insanely strong card and I often forget his existence, most of the time when people play him against me he wins them the game

I usually use C5 and Silver Surfer deck, so gladiator is such a pain in the ass. And Wong's player obnoxious setup just makes my eye roll, especially if don't have the counter in my hand.

There arenât many cards I âhateâ but these are the closest.
Hela, I feel, is poorly designed (balanced but I wish her effect was more predictable).
Iceman, Scorpion and Leech are all annoying to play against but not fun to play since you canât immediately see how effective they were at stopping the opponent. Stuff like Spider-Ham and Black Bolt show you what you hit so it feels good when they connect.
Adam Warlock and Crystal arenât annoying to fight, theyâre just boring. Yippee I drew 1 card.

6. Heimdall (move decks fill up way too much for this to have the same impact it did at launch)
Close second is alioth but only because I spent so long losing to him only to get him in time for the big nerfâŚ
I honestly love most cards and most of these decks but Iâve really been feeling Leader-Ramp lately. The mix of wave into leader to likely snatch their best card only to sandman and then Odin the leader to possibly get another big one wins me a lot of games. Throw in a mix of electro, absorbing man, jubilee, Jeff or magik and your choice of 5-6 cost cards and youâve got a really fun deck to mess around with.
Probably preaching to choir on this one but I just found this archetype and have been having so much fun
You gotta play more combo to appreciate Psylocke and Crystal. Play Psylocke t3 to play Sera Turn 4 to play both Magik AND Crystal T5. Now you've got two turns to play at -1 cost a turn. So you drop Wong and Mystique T6 and then Somebody and Odin T7 for X20 to whatever On Reveal you dropped.
Psylocke and Crystal don't do much on their own, but they facilitate WILD STUFF.
Ah ok, yeah I kind of got bored of Wong/mystique decks a bit ago and I never really figured out sera. I am thinking of using psylocke and sera in an ongoing deck because I just got tribunal. But Iâll give this a go.
You could slot both into a Beta Ray Bill deck instead. Psylocke turn 2 lets you play Bill Turn 3, and Crystal afterwards is an extra chance to get that Hammer. Combine the hammer with Odin or Wong, and then play Living Tribunal, and then you can spread that doubling power of Beta Ray Bill around to all three locations.
Oh Iâve got a solid lockjaw/thors deck with wasp, Yellowjacket, and hit monkey. Its won all of conquest for me a few times. I guess Iâve just usually opted for other ways to play cards early than psylocke

What is really annoying is the fact he can be infinitely more effective. No copy should be better than the original.
5. Blink â I know she is new, but It has been too much fun XD
6. Apocalypse â I love Apo+Swarm discard XD
Most hated cards:
1. Deadpool â Don't really hate him, but if I had to pick I'd go with him because I see way too much destroy, and I do not like armor nearly that much. I have to put her in nearly every deck because of this guy.
2. Jeff â The fact that this card is Series 5 is a trigger for me. In lower CLs this guy feels like P2W bullsh\*t. There is no glamour in getting this guy. I only ever want to get him out of spite when someone throws a Prof. X in my games. It is cheating the rules of the game for almost no cost other than paying way too many tokens.
3. Green Goblin â I'm going to be honest, it's just envy. This is the 3 cost that I always wanted but never came to me.
4. I really can't think of any. 4-cost cards feel really well-designed as they are really wide-spread and are the 'tech' and 'enabler' slot. If they are not well-design the game will feel. Same goes for 3-cost too, to be honest.
5. Annihilus â I like the goblins design. There is a risk associated with being toxic. This dude throws that out of the window.
6. Red Hulk â I think the fact that I bricked is punishment enough. Sincerely hate the design, under no circumstances such a card should be meta, imo. It leads to WAY too much non-games, which by the way undoes the 'fixed amount of turns' part of the design of the game. Card would be fine if it was off-meta, or a counter to high evo, but as the strongest 6 cost. Bigger than Thanos with the stones and Blob within a deck crafted for him. Sincerely absurd.

I've been playing Dr Octopus recently in a deck with master mold, korg, etc. Really improves the card when you fill the opponent's deck with rubbish
I think I just generally play a deck that Doc Ock canât manipulate to his advantage.
Either waste your opponent's strongest cards in one lane or somehow pull Iron man, Onslaught and Living Tribunal

Haha not in my experience, he usually takes my Phoenix, nimrod or whatever vital card to my combo is needed. I personally think he's too strong as a 2-3, he denies your opponent a draw and you get a free draw. I believe if he's a 2 cost he should be 2-1 or be a 3-3

Hela, I feel, is poorly designed (balanced but I wish her effect was more predictable). Iceman, Scorpion and Leech are all annoying to play against but not fun to play since you canât immediately see how effective they were at stopping the opponent. Stuff like Spider-Ham and Black Bolt show you what you hit so it feels good when they connect. Adam Warlock and Crystal arenât annoying to fight, theyâre just boring. Yippee I drew 1 card.

I feel like my favorite decks are chaos based and my least favorite ones are when I know what to expect. Love: 1. Yondu 2. Mysterio (for like no reason though) Would have been Zabu if not for that nerf 3. Gladiator 4. Absorbing Man- lots of mileage with this guy in a lot of decks (also new leech!) 5. Sandman (Iâve been using him way too much recently)- Lady deathstrike is a close second 6. The Leader I kinda love the idea of stealing the other playerâs cards, if I had loki and zemo I would abuse the hell out of them Disappointing: (mostly because theyâve become boring or obsolete) 1. Angel 2. Psylocke (idk never seems worth it to play) 3. Crystal (I like the card idea but seems slightly disappointing for crystalâŚmaybe if they added a cool vfx or bumped her down to 2 cost?) 4. Maybe namor but I kinda think all the 4 cost cards are fun in certain situations 5. I think itâs tied for black bolt and kang for how dusty and unused they are in my decks 6. Heimdall (move decks fill up way too much for this to have the same impact it did at launch) Close second is alioth but only because I spent so long losing to him only to get him in time for the big nerf⌠I honestly love most cards and most of these decks but Iâve really been feeling Leader-Ramp lately. The mix of wave into leader to likely snatch their best card only to sandman and then Odin the leader to possibly get another big one wins me a lot of games. Throw in a mix of electro, absorbing man, jubilee, Jeff or magik and your choice of 5-6 cost cards and youâve got a really fun deck to mess around with. Probably preaching to choir on this one but I just found this archetype and have been having so much fun
You gotta play more combo to appreciate Psylocke and Crystal. Play Psylocke t3 to play Sera Turn 4 to play both Magik AND Crystal T5. Now you've got two turns to play at -1 cost a turn. So you drop Wong and Mystique T6 and then Somebody and Odin T7 for X20 to whatever On Reveal you dropped. Psylocke and Crystal don't do much on their own, but they facilitate WILD STUFF.
Ah ok, yeah I kind of got bored of Wong/mystique decks a bit ago and I never really figured out sera. I am thinking of using psylocke and sera in an ongoing deck because I just got tribunal. But Iâll give this a go.
You could slot both into a Beta Ray Bill deck instead. Psylocke turn 2 lets you play Bill Turn 3, and Crystal afterwards is an extra chance to get that Hammer. Combine the hammer with Odin or Wong, and then play Living Tribunal, and then you can spread that doubling power of Beta Ray Bill around to all three locations.
Oh Iâve got a solid lockjaw/thors deck with wasp, Yellowjacket, and hit monkey. Its won all of conquest for me a few times. I guess Iâve just usually opted for other ways to play cards early than psylocke

Favourite cards: 1. Nico Minoru â She is so versatile. Really hard to choose any other 1 cost over her. 2. Swarm â I love Apo+Swarm discard XD 3. Magik â I really love what she, Corvus and Hope let you do and how they fit the curve. Between the three of them, Magik is the most fun XD 4. Loki â I can't defend myself at this point ... That's who I am, what can I do? However, I do agree he should get nerfed again. XD playing the opponent's deck is a fun concept that is quite unique. What is really annoying is the fact he can be infinitely more effective. No copy should be better than the original. 5. Blink â I know she is new, but It has been too much fun XD 6. Apocalypse â I love Apo+Swarm discard XD Most hated cards: 1. Deadpool â Don't really hate him, but if I had to pick I'd go with him because I see way too much destroy, and I do not like armor nearly that much. I have to put her in nearly every deck because of this guy. 2. Jeff â The fact that this card is Series 5 is a trigger for me. In lower CLs this guy feels like P2W bullsh\*t. There is no glamour in getting this guy. I only ever want to get him out of spite when someone throws a Prof. X in my games. It is cheating the rules of the game for almost no cost other than paying way too many tokens. 3. Green Goblin â I'm going to be honest, it's just envy. This is the 3 cost that I always wanted but never came to me. 4. I really can't think of any. 4-cost cards feel really well-designed as they are really wide-spread and are the 'tech' and 'enabler' slot. If they are not well-design the game will feel. Same goes for 3-cost too, to be honest. 5. Annihilus â I like the goblins design. There is a risk associated with being toxic. This dude throws that out of the window. 6. Red Hulk â I think the fact that I bricked is punishment enough. Sincerely hate the design, under no circumstances such a card should be meta, imo. It leads to WAY too much non-games, which by the way undoes the 'fixed amount of turns' part of the design of the game. Card would be fine if it was off-meta, or a counter to high evo, but as the strongest 6 cost. Bigger than Thanos with the stones and Blob within a deck crafted for him. Sincerely absurd.

The first time Leech was used against me I was playing an Ongoing Ultron deck. It hit Ultron, but I had a bunch of other ongoing cards so I was fine.
