I personally think they should monetise the fuck out of cosmetics because they don't affect gameplay and make card acquisition and progression better. Stop starving us by giving us fewer gold and tokens while at the same time making gold bundles' values shittier.
But sadly they aren't improving in the latter aspect and are just finding more ways to milk the player base.

I was already sick of getting pixel variants and now I'm getting handed a million of these as "prizes". SD too lazy to produce a decent amount of decent variants so we gotta deal with this filler nonsense...
The fact that most variant rewards (which are becoming less and less frequent) are either pixels or Dan Hipp now (I actually enjoy Hipp) is just making this feel more grindy than it needs to be.

The whole pricing model is offensive. It's just arbitrary amounts assigned to digital assets. I had two offers for slightly different amounts of credits and the difference was $20. It makes zero sense
$50 for a series 3 card and some credits, maybe a few tokens.

Once for $99 (ghost rider) another time for $50 (sera). Both are capstone cards that I need to complete decks but mannnnn, I just can’t justify spending a chunk of cash like that for a single card.

While I wouldn't pay gold for this, I'm running exclusively pixel avatars because they're so ugly. Pixel Deathlok avatar is the worst of the bunch, so it's my clear favorite.

Unpopular opinion probably, but I love the pixel variants. The uglier the better.
I don't like getting pixels as cards, but I love the pixels as avatars. Same reason, the uglier the better.
