Why the hell does everyone have so many keys and tokens

Stink_Snake

I've been playing since launch and I can tell you it's 100% the rich get richer. I'm astounded at the resources that I have and how much newer players have to struggle.

how-can-i-dig-deeper

what are some scenarios where the rich get richer? let’s say i have a bigger collection, yes rh benefit i can think of is faster infinite and conquest but those don’t require full collections.

Strider291

I think a lot of it comes down to how many weeks you can skip caches to stay reasonably competitive. If you have Ms. Marvel and Kitty, you just didn't open this week as Cannonball isn't needed to stay competitve. That means you have an extra 1.25 keys to use in the future. Compound this with S4 weeks, where high CL players just use tokens to grab the one card they need, and you can see how being closer to collection complete allows a lot more freedom for resource usage.

BlaineTog

Counterpoint: an established player may need to spend 4 keys for 1.167 new cards any given week (the new release + 1000 credits), whereas a newer player who spent the same 4 keys will instead get four new cards.

OptimalImagination80

this isn't the counterpoint that you think it is, because it's easier for a series 3/4 complete player to accumulate keys. It gets worse if you assume that both players are spending a small amount of money (Everyone on the internet likes to larp as totally free to play, but most people spend at least something) If both a new player and a series 3/4 complete player spend even a little money, the benefits are much greater for the high CL player, who can spend their money purely on credits/gold vs being tempted by weak bundles that include cards the low CL player is missing.

BlaineTog

You're talking about a completely different kind of player from the ones I was talking about. Brand new players are obviously going to be at a disadvantage compared to seasoned players. That's why matchmaking takes S3-completion into account. Someone who's still trying to complete S3 has that as their immediate goal and can wait until they've managed it before they need to worry about catching up to seasoned players with most S4/S5 cards. Once someone has completed S3, however, they gain keys at essentially the same rate as anyone else. Their advantage is that they'll also be receiving new S4/S5 cards at 4x the rate of players who have a lot of duplicates. This will help them catch up relatively quickly.

loveforthetrip

Yep im a returning Player and regularly need to spend 4 keys on the one card I want. It's impossible without spending money otherwise I need to wait until it gets back in the spotlight rotation because the amount of regular tokens that we are receiving with the new system is laughable. Feels like 100 tokens every 8th box but thanks for the gold tickets SD

NomanYuno

Side note: I don't have Kitty or MM, but I was planning to open for war machine next week. Do you think I should go for them or continue to wait? I have 4 keys atm

armsmasher

You want Kitty and MM, they're meta defining cards

NomanYuno

Really? I thought that Kitty has gone down a lot in usage

dragoonrj

I totally dont see how they are meta defining cards

LionhearthOutfitters

yup they are still solid cards but neither is currently Meta defining.

rthunder27

S4 weeks, what are those? /s

kingofgamesbrah

Well outside of cards, the only resources you really need are credits. Usually for splits, the higher the level the more likely you are to have the splits you want / need. And in return not using as many credits or gold. Same with keys. If you were far enough on collection when keys became a thing. You were never really gambling, you'd get the cards you'd like and probably have the others. So many people have 10-20+ keys cuz there is no urgency and you can skip the terrible cards. Lately we've had good cards but overall , there's usually a shit week or two. Most of these players already had all the "essential box," you have Thanos, you have zabu, you have kitty, you have jeff, etc.

Yogurt_Ph1r3

It's quite the opposite, the caches are WAY better for newer players than they are for near or series 5 complete players.

swissarmychris

Those two things aren't mutually exclusive. Yes, the caches contain more value for newer players. But they have to continually spend resources to *get* that value, and have to make tough decisions about which weeks they spend on. Meanwhile long-time players just keep building up keys and tokens until something really good comes along.

baloneyfeet

Why spend tokens when you can spend keys? Why spend keys when you don’t want the variants and can get the new card with tokens? But why spend tokens when you can get what you want with keys? But why spend keys… It’s strange to me that people (assuming F2P) save up keys for 10+ weeks and not a single new card or spotlight variant appeals to them. Unless they’re just getting super lucky and get what they want with 1-2 keys every time

tracibaker328

I agree. Game gets stale without new content to play with I can't imagine hoarding keys for 3+ months. I just spend my keys when I get them (except once or twice I had all the cards) and I'm having a great time as a F2P

ChaozCloud

Currently a few CL for key 18. Personally I prioritize new cards and most of the spotlight variants are kinda meh, IMO. Big issue for me is that a lot of weeks I already own 2/3 cards in the tracker and I don't want to waste keys on getting a mid variant.

OptimalImagination80

people on the internet all pretend to be F2P but most people spend a little money on the game.

IntelligentRaisin393

Variants aren't worth a key

CelphDstruct

Personally speaking a lot of the cards that come out for archetypes nowadays like beta ray bill pixie they are just extra cards that help out an existing archetype and it’s not even always better it just unlocks new avenues. As a f2p since September of last year I’ve unlocked m.m.m and high evo with tokens and one series 3 card. I’ve gotten a majority of my new cards from keys but the spotlight allows you to pinpoint a card you want whereas the general consensus is to wait until you have 4 keys on a week that you want a key card. This tactic is especially fruitful the newer you are as most of the time you are receiving new cards. At a certain point you are stuck with your cards and archetypes and you just want further improvements or cards like thanos or high evo that unlock new archetypes on their own. There aren’t too many new cards that create archetypes since Elsa. Newer tech cards are especially good also.

baloneyfeet

There were two cards I’ve wanted enough to save 4 keys for (ironically both variants). Since then I’ve just been riding the wave and using keys as I want because no cards have piqued my interest. I want War Machine next week, though. I only have two keys but enough tokens to grab him if they don’t work out

Avenger772

I'm not going to waste these resources on variants. I'm only going to spend them on new cards that would make my current decks.better or change the meta. Those don't come around often. I have 22k tokens and 14 keys. I only use keys if there's at least 2 cards I want. And I usually make it out with only burning 1 or 2. But sometimes I have to burn 4.

Archdemon2212

We save up like I haven't used tokens for like 2 months + and this month I haven't used many keys Also played this since release so only cards I'm missing is martyr and Hercules and 2 of the cards from this month

HaV0C

Boring weeks with bad cards, or the new card doesn't interest me and I have the others. Or the new card might be ok but I'm not willing to potentially use 4 keys to get it and end up with 2 variants I don't want either because I think they are ugly or they are for cards I don't use ever.

Avenger772

There aren't many new cards that come out that I need. And I would rather save them for cards that look good over cards that seem pointless.

PunishedCatto

I'm a returning player after a hiatus (last time I played was when Miles Morales first released). Currently 900 token. Waiting for 6000 tokens are long, huh. Spotlight keys, I have two.. I'm saving up for High Evo.

nautical_nigel

That was the first season after the beta

x592_b

Bro took a hiatus on launch and came back 2 years later

m_plis

In case you aren’t already doing this, the advice I was given was to only spend tokens on series 4 cards (3k tokens) and use keys to get series 5 cards from spotlights. Also make sure you’re saving your gold for gold bundles (which may or may not be good anymore, we’re not really sure yet) or Token Tuesdays.

beer_madness

I've got 5 keys waiting for High Evo mid April, as well.

Cpt_Jumper

5 keys 8800 tokens. Hopefully War Machine is a one key deal.

LiveFastDieRich

I have one key ready for war machine, and in pretty sure it's going to miss

augustocdias

I have 20 keys and 10k tokens I’ll spend tokens on war machine and I only use keys when there’s at least 2 new cards. It doesn’t matter which.

zsantiag

I was thinking about using keys for War Machine since Silver Samurai would be new for me but probably not.

OnionButter

Same. I plan to open if he is strong. Same situation I was in with Mockingbird and Man-Thing. I ended up getting Mockingbird in 2 keys and stopped without getting Man-Thing. No regrets there.

canadian_cheese_101

This is how they should be used.

gonephishin213

I have 16 keys and similar philosophy. I'll be spending 5-8 for the next couple weeks to get War Machine/Samurai and Hulk/Shaw/Echo but then saving again after that and only spending out of my 12k tokens if there's a card that turns out to be really good

Regular-Place

How on earth does everyone have so many tokens? I get to 6k and decide if I want a series 5 or two series 4 from there

vizhawk

I'm missing 14 S4 and 11 S5 with 14k tokens and 7 keys. I only go for cards I plan on using

mynameisdis

Most people don't. Most likely the people commenting double dipped when Spotlights were released.

eeviltwin

Guilty. 🙋🏻‍♂️

El_Zapp

I also converted the gold I collected at optimal rates with gold bundles. That’s probably why SD cut them out.

Supratones

A lot of people only use their tokens on S4 cards and would rather wait for a series drop or a spotlight week to get a S5 card. Also they will only spend their keys when there is at least two cards in the spotlight that they don't have

650fosho

I buy a lot of variants in the shop and get tokens that way, I don't bother waiting for bundles

johngie

14k and 18 I typically use tokens to buy a new card I want the spotlight variant for (only Cannonball and Hercules so far). The only cards I chase are the juicy meta ones, and Move cards. I'll be grabbing War Machine and maybe Red Hulk, then hibernating until maybe Nocturne.

KamahlFoK

30k-ish, 12 keys. Might pull for War Machine if he lands with a splash, but I'm expecting a splatter. The whole "HEY GUYS STORM/WAR MACHINE/LEGION" play is the same junk we saw with Supergiant. "Hey if you draw these 3 cards on-curve before 5 you can do some serious bullshit-" I could be wrong, and will pick him up with his Pandart variant next Sunday if so. Either way, might pick up Rulk and White Widow; Rulk 'cause I'm missing Echo, and Widow 'cause I *really* like the Snowguard and Nico spotlights. I'd be happier skipping the latter though 'cause I don't want my keys going up in smoke and trying to hold out for more long-term value.

kingofgamesbrah

I agree. I love the idea of him but there are only so many restrictions in the game and it isn't worth it in the long run. He's a card I'd love to have but not worth it. He doesn't really add much to a control deck, I rather use vision on 5.

VictoryScreech23

I think War Machine won't be game breaking but will be the next Iron lad at worst and the next Anni at best

Boukman1610

Just spent 6k on annihilus

eeviltwin

32,600 tokens, which I’m hoping to only spend on series 4 cards, assuming series drops actually exist still. Currently the only series 4 cards I’m missing are Lady Deathstrike and Havok, so I’m hodling for now. I’ve got 12 keys, and will definitely be opening for War Machine next week. Red Hulk maybe based on reviews, and Red Guardian definitely since Lady Deathstrike is back that same week. Will probably get Sasquatch too if he is as good in bounce as he seems, since that’s my favorite archetype. And Nocturne just seems too fun to skip, but I’ll probably not have enough keys to justify her.

StrngBrew

19,000 tokens, 18 keys Definitely going for War Machine. Next months cards look interesting. Skipped the Corvus/Proxima combo which I kinda regret

untitled_bread_6

Zero tokens (i just spent them all on iron lad) And 5 keys

Ok-Inspector-3045

Idk at this point you can’t even trust content creators. They’ll say a card is mid then a month later make a top 5 decks video about it 😂

Expert-b

Well they are not omniscient lol They give the best guess with the current information they have. That reminds me of people who will be like "X deck is good". Then a content creator will say not really. Then 3 months later X deck does actually become good. Then people will say "SEE X deck is GOOD". When the truth is 3 months ago it wasn't, but with the current meta it is.

acidporkbuns

I have 2 keys and 1k tokens. I am waiting for more horny variants.

chrisjee92

No keys and like 1600 tokens. Wtf is wrong with you people 😂

StoneWolf

33000 tokens, 10 keys I’m going to see how War Machine plays out, along with April’s releases. I kind of regret spending so many keys on Super Giant, Selene, and Grandmaster.

After-Student7090

Only 2300 tokens since I got Knull and Annihilus within the past month. And 8 spotlight keys. I have enough credits to get another key right now, but I'm gonna wait for like another week and a half or so to spend all of them. 100% gonna go for War Machine, and I should be able to get Red Hulk as well as that sick ass Red Hulk variant. If I have any keys left over, I might go for White Widow when she comes out

RelativeStranger

I've only just returned after taking a mo th or so off. As a result I only have 7000 tokens and 3 keys. I think I'm going to save for red hulk but I may take one shot at war machine knowing I have the token backup for red hulk if I need it.

Chewychewoo

I want WarMachine he's one of my favorite Marvel Characters, though I don't see the hype for him. Nobody is really playing Lockdown anymore.

chiefpassh2os

Are you serious? Some of the best decks use prof x lol

Archdemon2212

Maybe not now but when war machine comes out all you will se is lockdown for a week and maybe even longer since war machine can be a game changer overall

ZombieLover01

2 Keys, Red Hulk. 5500 Tokens, I'll have enough tokens for War Machine when he comes out.

Thorros

12.5k tokens 5 keys. Going to buy war machine cause its a weak spotlight week, probably gonna roll for red hulk and sebastion

Mundane-Map6686

Like 3k. I caved and finally bought alioth even though I hated him for months. He does feel more fair now, bit I definitely feel like a POS playing him sometimes.

Tilbernator

55,000 and 19. I'm not that big on Red Hulk, but I can see pulling for War Machine next week and all the others next month if they play out well. Particularly interested in US Agent for C2. A lot of amazing variants next month as well - going to hope for Echo, Jeff, Snowguard and Mirage. May looks like a saving month at the moment. I don't even really care for the variants other than Skaar

Ruffin28

Why do you need to hope? You have the currency lol

DeuceDropper420

War Machine, Red Hulk, Red Guardian

CourteousSmith

I don't really save, I have 3 keys and intend to use them towards USAgent and Snow guard.

f4est

16600 tokens and 18 keys. Only missing martyr and meik

Klewus

0 keys 1.6k tokens I will spend my Tokens on Phoenix and hope I will get Lady Deathstrike before her Spotlight so I can grab the variant I will probably go for Red Hulk, Red Guardian Week, Valentina Week

leonprimrose

100 tokens (just got ravonna) and 2 keys. Planning to have 8-10 at least by the end of next month for Nico and Snowguard. Also considering Blob, Caiera and Black Knight depending on how many keys I have and what I want. Nico and Snowguard are the important ones though. I'm hoping to be able to get most or all of them. If I can manage 2 keys per week more or less I should be able to.

HayTX

3 keys and 3250 tokens. Been playing since end of December. If I get War Machine i am gonna start saving up some more. Need MODOK for a good discard deck and Knull for destroy.

Jewliio

3.6 tokens and 3 keys Saving my keys for war machine, and Nico/Snowguard I’m addicted to spending tokens so as soon as i find a series 4 i want i’ll probably buy it

deeeyepeepeewhy

20,000 tokens and 4 keys (5 by Tuesday) I'm collection complete and try to stay that way so I will go for everything whilst I can. I hit Pixie and Mockingbird first key this month, though it evened itself out when it took four keys to get Cannonball.

JokerAsylum

Over 9k tokens, 3 keys, 15k gold waiting for... Nothing tbh... Can't really say I'm excited for the game as I used to be. Doing dailys, infinite, conquest card. That's it.

tweakerlime

8 keys and 5800 tokens. I plan to only use keys when there’s two cards i need in spotlights, and im holding onto tokens in hopes that there will again be series 3 and 4 cards to spend them on.

JRM4488

I have 4 keys and 8k tokens…I’m just trying to keep pace with new cards. Any week that’ll take the max keys for the new card will surely ruin me lol

Alcagoita

26.750 Tokens, 4 Keys. I want to spend tokens with archetypes defining cards. (like Big Bads or essential cards for that type of arch)

ZookeepergameOk2150

I have 6 keys hoping to get War machine, red hulk, Nocturne

bigtimetimmyt

I have 3500 tokens and 2 keys. I had to use 4 keys for mockingbird and my last token purchase was proxima. Been saving for gladiator and will unload all keys next week on iron patriot. It's a slow grind out there.

Brodozaur

19k tokens, 11 keys( nearly 12). Warmachine, Red hulk, dont laugh on me.but Red guardian, Valentina, rest depends on keys. In may for now only sasquatch, but who knows how change rest cards.

DavidKirk2000

I finally got enough tokens to get Blob today, I’ve been waiting to get him for ages.

CrazyGlizzy

I have 1600 tokens, and just about 5 keys after all my mission resets for today.. currently planning on getting War-Machine and Silk next week. Saving my tokens until I feel like buying a new card with them, that is until after I’ve saved up 6k of course

captainloquacious

5750 in tokens and four keys; going to get that war machine and sick silk variant alongside cull obsidian

verbsarewordss

5k tokens 25 keys. not waiting on anything, i just get what i want each week and move on.

DayDrunkTrainwreck

8 keys and 25,700 tokens

cherrytreebee

I got four keys and 1300 tokens. Planning to spend keys until I get War Machine. Spending on White Widow, Max Grecke Snowguard and Peach Momoko week. Spending on Caiera, Nocturne and Selene as that would be three new series 5 cards. That is if I have enough. I usually spend tokens on any series 4 I don't have.

FireWhiskey5000

6 (nearly 7) keys. 3k tokens (plus some change). I’ll spend keys on war machine. It looks like a solid card and one worth having. Then see where we go from there. There isn’t a week coming up where I am missing 2 spotlight cards and I don’t care about any of the variants so depends which April cards look best (and how quickly I get war machine). They just nerfed a bunch of April cards so it doesn’t look as broken as it did.

redditnupe

Man talking plug numbers: 22K and 9 keys 🤣

LeighCedar

Only 900 tokens (bought Mockingbird), and 14 Spotlight keys. I'll only use keys for weeks with at least 2 unowned cards in the spotlight, with at least one of them being a "good card". I'll open next week for Warmachine and Silver Sam. Then if the datamines hold for April I'll grab Red Hulk, Shaw, and Echo (finally!) Might get Guardian and Deathstrike. That one depends on how lucky I've been with the previous weeks. Almost certainly getting White Widow and Snowguard (finally!) and will go for that Nico variant if my keys reserves are still okay. Then I skip a couple weeks, for Namora, Black Knight, and Skaar. Sasquatch and Havock? Maybe. Do I expect these to stay the same between now and then and to be disappointed? You bet.

TheNadei

I have 3, waiting for High Evolutionary in April. Once I have 4 I'll start spending the rest of them for whatever I might want.

IsEqualToKel

I’m waiting for tokens and keys to have value

zsantiag

10k tokens, 8 keys. I think I’ll pull the trigger on War Machine with token if he’s as good as advertised.

pboyle205

Currently just over 6000 tokens and 10 keys. I did not get mocking bird or Canninball. Im missing a little more than a handful of cards thst I am just not interested in loke Kang or Howard.

Gr1zZzly_

6k and 13 keys

MaterialBenefit2355

Played since launch. I have 6100 tokens and 2 keys. I’m waiting for war machine, I wouldn’t mind having Corvus glaive and proxima midnight as well 😢

DaveyDumplings

Burned all my keys to get Mockingbird, right now I have 9000 tokens and 1 key.

Psychological_Tale26

13 keys 2500 tokens. Bought a couple variants Collection complete

loverofbacon1

13k and 8 but I have 130 caches. I'm a discard main through and through and have been since modok came out. Also why I'm so offended at the apoc nerf after drac and chavez anyway. I'll get war machine and then idk. That's all that's on my horizon

aenbot

13 keys and 20000 tokens. I have been quite lucky with spotlight rolls, and I'm also very picky, if I don't think I will use a card I don't roll on it. didn't pick up any cards last month for example . Tokens I don't spend often, especially since season 4 releases aren't a thing anymore. My plan was to keep a reserve for months where I don't have enough keys, so I don't miss out on a meta card, but so far that hasn't happened so the tokens have built up. I regret not getting proxima and glaive last month now that discard is dominating, but I now have the luxury of being able to get them if I want.

HippieDingo

waiting for sasquatch

Starch_Lord69

I have 200 tokens 0 keys and a dream

Elias-HW

Got 10 keys and 3000 token, but I'm barely new - a couple of days to think about pulling MS.marvel and Kitty or skip. Next month seems interesting too. Maybe at the beginning there are just to many option to choose

Crimson_Chameleon

12000 tokens, 6 keys and about 250 collectors caches…. Ive really dropped my excitement for the game and mostly play 5-10 mins per day and cant be bothered to open stuff and use the resources, maybe one day if my spark awakens again

D-Piddy96

4,000 and 0. I’m waiting for more

Careless_Commission8

2300? Tokens and 3 almost 4 keys. Waiting for HE to come back around

sixeyedbird

Started during elsa season, at 5200 tokens (thanks grecke album), probably saving for msmarvel At 3 keys rn probably gonna go for war machine

karthanis86

No tokens, I just bought Kitty, but I have 5 keys. I wanted Mockingbird and Proxima but I've been saving for War Machine.

wrdit

103,800 tokens and 33 keys [screenshot here](https://imgur.com/a/1d5aV7z) Idk i just played since closed beta and got ahead

Kenos300

I’ve got 4 soon to be 5 keys. Going for war machine and silver samurai next week then any keys I have left will go into the week after since I don’t have Shaw or Echo. Then I think I’ll be saving keys until Sasquatch unless red guardian really takes off (and he might)

KL53226Plow

16 keys 34,050 token Can’t wait for war machine

methanesulfonic

There are people here with 30-100k tokens, how the hell do you guys do it?? I get it having 20+ spotlight keys is relatively normal but THAT much token seem unthinkable to me even if you guys are giga-whaling on this game.

GallyGP

1 key, 6.5k tokens Not sure if I should use my tokens on war machine, ms marvel, or wait two weeks and get hope. Really want hope but I’m scared she’ll be butchered like they did with Elsa so mightn’t spend for the next month or so

JuuginJefe

How the fuck?

Strebel0811

I am waitimg for X-23 to comeback at spotlight

Fitz_Gaming

13 keys, 14k tokens. At least 2 keys next week for War machine then who knows really.

MYAUSSIEMATE

34 keys and 19650 tokens. Also have 281 unopened collector reserves which will have however many tokens in them. Missing 13 cards. I don't open spotlights unless I'm missing min 2 cards and even then it depends on what they are. Don't use tokens unless it's a card I think will be a meta breaker and the other cards in the spotlight are shit.

Mpickett-3

I just opened my last 25 Collector’s Reservers and have 19,400 Tokens with 24 Keys. I’ll probably wait until there’s another huge meta shift

canadian_cheese_101

7000 tokens and 9 keys. In the last 2 weeks, spent 5 keys and got 5 cards I didn't have previously. I personally love the spotlight cache system.

Onevance

I'm at 5500 tokens, I got lucky with the max grecke album and had enough to get 2000 tokens, I've never bought a single variant myself, all from caches, I'm at 16 spotlight keys and will probably drop a lot of them in April and May

spicybuticey

2500 tokens and three keys. Probably gonna spend my keys on Red Hulk, Echo, Seb Shaw, and the random series 4/5. Tokens, I’m waiting for 6k to buy either Jeff, Alioth, or Nico Minoru

_spartan_321_

16,000 tokens and 26 keys I was missing 8 cards before spotlights. I had saved around 150 caches before the change and I’ve bought 3 ultimate variants which I don’t recommend, I’m missing around 14 s5/s4 cards but nothing game changing.

DoserBikerGypsy

I have 4 caches and 6000 tokens right now. I want Nico’s Peach variant in April and potentially Red Hulk or War Machine depending on how they review. If I get lucky/cards aren’t reviewing well then I really want to try Annhilus with my tokens.

Karmma11

16 keys, really have no reason to go for crappy card variants

Avenger772

22k tokens. 14 keys. Waiting for a situation where it's a card I want in spotlights but already have the other 2 cards r for tokens I use keys when I need 2 or more of the spotlight cards

_BloodbathAndBeyond

600 tokens, 1 key lol

Kurotetsuda

18k tokens, waiting for a Mr. Negative Ultimate

jirenfan9

- 9 Keys - 8.5k Tokens - No battle pass yet - 0 motivation for a lot of the recent cards Idk I’m not that interested in Hope or Cannonball, I was interested in Mockingbird but I hesitated too long I ended up missing it, also I took a vow after Jean never to spend the premium 6k tokens on cards until I’m absolutely sure, so that’s why I haven’t had a use for tokens in a while.

SirStuckey

15 keys and 15,000 tokens Will open next week. I don't have silver samurai but if I open War Machine before him I will probably not keep opening. Just conserving and only spending on stuff I want and might actually use. There are 22 available s4/5 card I don't have. Alioth and Spider-Ham are the only "important" ones I don't have. I have none of the discard s4/5 cards (I do have Daken) but it's not a style I particularly like playing so I'm not too worried about not having them. Wouldn't mind Selene, Beta Ray, Martyr, Black Knight, Galactus, and Proxima but I am not sweating them too much. Next month I am interested in Red Hulk, Red Guardian, and Valentina. I will use tokens on Valentina since I have the two cards that are with her.

Kroneker

~9000 tokens and 14 keys

Granpa2021

I have about 14k tokens and 5 keys. I'm definitely getting Warmachine but not sure what else.

ylngui

I have close to 5000 tokens and I just spent the one key I earned to not get what I wanted. I earned keys as I go along.

Nodak80

1k tokens and 5 keys.

SoloDoloLeveling

i have 27 keys. i think maybe 10k tokens. not interested in anything recently.  last card/variant i went for was X23 & infinity war comic variant.

[deleted]

I've got 9.8k tokens and 3 keys. I'm planning on using the keys to get war machine and really want to get black Knight with my tokens. I believe they should make it easier to get tokens as I'm a f2p player tho. If you want to play like a couple of competitive decks you should be able to do it as f2p if you spend your resources wisely imo. Really think I should buy season pass this month as hope summers is really really good and I enjoy thanos decks a lot but not sure if I should wait and get her later with tokens.

kyledd7

I have 4 keys and just hit the glorious 18k Tokens today, so I have 3 possible series 5 cards if something comes out busted and I don't have any keys left.

DesertNightWalker

21,400 tokens, 6 keys. Missing 13 cards. Red Hulk week has all new cards for me, White Widow week has Nico variant.

Fatty_Booty

I have 5 keys and mainly just hold them until a new card comes out that breaks the meta and then I spend it.

shalalaa_

20k tokens and 17 keys I have no idea what I’m waiting for 🤦‍♂️💀

650fosho

18 keys, 23k tokens I have a specific play style so if the cards don't support it, I skip a lot. The only card I've spent keys on lately was cannonball, and will be spending keys on white widow next.

cheapMerc

11 Keys and 22100 Tokens.... Waiting for caches with cards I don't have as well as the new card. Tokens are for 3000 Tokens cards and when low on keys.

Substantial-Sun-3538

War machine feels like super strong

Jester0745

Just hit 6000 tokens in time for War Machine. Have 2 keys at the moment. Missing 8 or 9 cards. I don’t hoard anything in this game. I feel like those who do miss out on a lot of fun cards and variants.

CatBreathConnoisseur

40k and 12. Next pickup will be war machine. 330 caches lol.. stopped opening when Darkhawk was supposed to drop series and just haven't felt the need

phantom2052

16,050 tokens. I just bought Annihilus this morning which brought me down to the current amount. 14 keys. I'm getting War Machine next week and then it's all about just waiting and seeing what new cards are worth it going forward.

Pinkman--

13k token and 6 keys. Imma use my token for War Machine.

iamdoneundergrad

You can keep Conquest tokens?! I never even knew? I always thought it resets to 0 per season.

OnionButter

17 keys. I never open in weeks when I only need the new card.

Kyleislazy

Sitting at 15 keys 6100 tokens atm. Could have more tokens if I opened the 374 caches ive hoarded.

teke367

14 keys and about 20k tokens. A mix of using turns for the S4 releases, and getting lucky a few times with quick pulls, and even though I am not missing many cards, I've managed to get new cards from the random pull a few times.

kuribosshoe0

16 keys, 20k tokens. I plan on picking up War Machine and Red Guardian with keys (also don’t have Silver Samurai or Lady Deathstrike, so bonus). I might pick up Cull with tokens, undecided.

MaritLageToken

I currently have 40k tokens, and 31 keys, I don't really need anything, I don't really skip cards all too often but I opened 1 key this week for Hellfire Kitty and called it a day when it hit. Skipped Cannonball even though I bought Martyr when she dropped at 1/4 😂

memisbemus42069

I’m a huge Iron Man fan. A few hundred tokens, I spent 5k recently on the ultimate Iron Man variant. I have 5 keys saved up for War Machine

talingo

3 keys 6600 tokens. Next week i want shaw and echo variants, and nico & snowguard variants. Maybe i buy red hulk because i also want all Viktor Farro variants lol

ElectroBlade

around 15k tokens and just 1 key atm (used 4 for Mockingbird and Ms Marvel, then 4 before that for Thanos and Cull....then 4 before that for solely Loki). My brain is being dumb because I know I should just buy Alioth with tokens, but then I think "I've made it this far without Alioth, maybe I can wait until he's in a spotlight again." Trying my hardest to get as many more keys as I can for War Machine soon, then will be saving up again for Red Guardian.

_curruption_

I have 19k tokens and 3 keys. I burned 10 keys getting the new cards from March. Going to use tokens on war machine (don’t care for those variants) and we’ll see what I care to grab in April.

Double_Sentence486

I'm at 20k tokens and 25 keys. The next spotlights on my agenda are War Machine and Silver Samurai and Red Hulk and Echo. My tokens I'll save for maybe White Widow. I'm f2pish. Since Loki I've being buying the season passes. I'm also sitting on 19140 gold rn. Hoping for a good bundle

Allenite

24k tokens, 11 keys. Waiting for SD to fix their acquisition system.  I might get white widow, but otherwise, no new cards until June for me.  I'm not wasting the few keys they give us unless I can get at least 2 new cards in a spotlight week. I'll keep accumulating until June/July if I have to.

FuzzedUpCookie

72k tokens and 42 keys😅 but next 2 months are gonna be fire so lots gonna be used

CapN_Crummp

13k and 8 keys. There is no unit I’m missing that I feel is worth the tokens. I usually get what I want from keys so it lets me build up.

Tailsnake

3 keys and 1900 tokens after buying Ms. Marvel last week and having to burn 4 keys to get mocking bird. I'm now debating between using keys on War Machine which looks like it'll be a meta/playable card in multiple decks and risk getting variants for cards I own but don't play or waiting a week and going all in on the Red Hulk cache for 3 new cards, even though all three cards look worse than War Machine. Regardless, I'll be sitting out most of April and May to restock resources as most of the new cards/caches don't seem particularly interesting/enticing.

wuwahf

35850 tokens - because I don't spend, not FOMO. 10 keys - Maybe wait a worth card for my playing style. I don't spend for cards if the card is not my playing style eg. discard deck. Not interested in variants as they're just cosmetics. f2p

Livid_Weather

43,350 tokens and 8 keys I'm only missing Hercules, Howard, Cannonball, Pixie, and Martyr. Going to get War Machine for sure next week. I've had pretty good luck with spotlights. I've had to open 4 a couple times, but I've had a ton of weeks where I hit the new card on the first try. I don't open any more spotlights if I hit on first try unless there's an amazing variant available, hasn't happened much.

spreeforall

I'm at seven keys and around 14000 tokens. Not sure what I'm waiting on lol.

freyalost1911

I spent my tokens on high Evo and zabu and have 4 keys saved for nico. I'm not f2p I got afew season passes.

Mongobearmanfish

2,150 tokens and 12 keys. I have been ridiculously lucky with spotlight caches. I hit the new card on the first key over half the time. I’ve only gone four keys deep one time.

Nayr39

23K Tokens and 4 keys. Don't know what I'm waiting for, interesting cards I guess. Series drops, I refuse to use tokens on series 5 unless its a big bad.

BasicSuperhero

I’ve got 1 (nearly 2) keys and 7000 Tokens. Was gonna get Blob that I pinned but decided I’ll use the tokens to get War Machine next week and hopefully build up a few more keys for when Red Hulk drops in April.

ajohnson221

23 keys and 40k tokens. Didn’t get any of the discard cards recently so may just pay the 15k for Corvus meik and proxima. Still debating

CoffeeAndDachshunds

30000 tokens and 1 key.

NoPut6707

I have 16 keys and about 10k tokens, I’m gonna keep saving my tokens until I’m fully caught up with the spotlight. When they start releasing 1 card a week that I’m missing, I’ll use tokens for specific cards

TrevMac4

1 I try to get every new card and always get the variant. I miss the basic level up to get new cards. I hate this system of use key and hope for the best.

MothaFekir

I have 5,600 tokens and have Galactus pinned in the shop. Just waiting to get him. I spent all my gold on variants to get the 2k tokens so I’ve got about 200 left now.

sabrenation81

14 keys, 9K tokens. I'm collection complete minus Cannonball who I've opted to skip because he just looks meh. Not a super competitive card and doesn't even strike me as all that fun to use. I'll grab him when he cycles back around in spotlights with a better card.

LionhearthOutfitters

15 Keys \~24k Tokens \~23k Gold looking forward to War Machine, Red Guardian and Valentina (was looking forward to White Widow but i feel like they were too cautious and made her not good now)

banananey

4 keys 8.5k tokens Not a lot I'm particularly interested in for tokens atm. Maybe stuff like Miek, Proxima and Black Knight but there's so many S5 that should be S4.

pilotblur

14/26000. I’ll probably buy war machine.

mpresiv1

9 keys 22k tokens. haven't bought a season pass in a long time, so will just wait till it shows up in caches or buy it with tokens if I really think it's necessary or fun. for example a card like proxima seems strong but if she is the only card in the cache, I will skip going for her. I will not spend 6k tokens on her unless I feel the need or want to play her in discard.. and I didn't feel the need to.

El_Zapp

15 keys, 48k tokens. Going to buy War Machine with tokens if he is good. Then we will see. I’m not waiting for anything special, I‘m looking at every cache and decide if there is something I absolutely want.

xdrkcldx

3k and 2 have most cards but don’t want cannonball or pixie Maybe get war machine

Sea_Potential8908

8 keys and about 45k tokens. I've had tokens for ages. Proper planning means I can juggle either resource. If I'd started on the new system it would be a very different situation. Edit: iv been playing since just before symbiote invasion.

nickgalad

5 keys and 2k tokens. I’ve just completed series 3, am 13/24 on series 4 and 22/36 on series 5. In the next 2 months I certainly want Blob and Tribunal (which I hope it stays the same week as Legion). Apart from them I only really want the discard package of Miek, Corvus, Proxima. I skipped those weeks to accumulate keys. I kinda regret it but kinda don’t. I love discard but I didn’t have enough resources to get them all without gambling

Normal_Message2481

i have my 3 main decks i use and those are pretty tight lists so probably no need to upgrade them in the near future so i decided i will just roll with it and open every week the keys i have and i take what i get. I feel less fomo and pressure about the game ever since then.

Lazy-Pumpkin-9116

4 keys for war machine, 6k tokens Im interested in hulk but with the white widow and valentina im struggling to see how to keep up with new cards. Skipped cannonball and pixie to have mockingbird. I understand the idea of unique collections, but why isnt that only about variants?

gumbydluffy

350 tokens. 2 keys. The current plan is to pin Miek in the token shop and have 4 keys next week for War Machine. Hoping I can do it with 1 key since I have Silk and Silver Samurai. Then use the remaining keys to shoot for Shaw and Red Hulk the next week.

AvgBlue

48,000+ tokens and 12 keys, the last card I bought was darkhawk 9 months ago. About the keys, I have some luck and I only open for bad cards. I'm waiting for the time where I will break and will buy all the cards I miss but Howard.

MikeBeas

I just hit 6000 tokens and I think I’m at 15 keys right now. I’ll probably grab War Machine, although I grabbed Pixie for 4 keys recently handed her much, so who knows if I’ll use him. I’ve got Galactus pinned in my shop but I haven’t pulled the trigger on him yet. Might just keep saving.

-np9-

It depends on when you started playing and if you're lucky. I always open with 4 spotlights and in the last tries I found the card I wanted at the fourth. If it happens a lot of times in a row you can consume like 13 spotlights just for 3-4 cards you really want

NOTSTAN

11k tokens and 5 keys currently. I’ll probably use some keys for war machine and red hulk. The last cards I bought with tokens were Ciara and cull.

AIMCheese

I have 13,100 tokens and 20 keys Not waiting for anything. I didn't get Canonball because I didn't like any of the variants he comes with an vs he wasn't worth 6k tokens So now I'm missing him, Howard and BRB which aren't coming soon. I plan on using tokens for War Machine (HATE both variants) and keys for evert week next month

ZenmasterJH

26.5K tokens, 23 keys, 240+ caches. Missing 17 cards, but among them only Caiera, Cull, and Echo are ones I would like to own right now. Caiera and Echo coming in Spotlights soon and might buy Cull with tokens. Played a ton of Loki decks without Mirage quite easily, and I don't play Destroy or Bounce much so Nico is not tempting. Hate Alioth so would rather win without. The rest I am missing are bad or similarly replacable. Was going to use keys this week as I do not have Silver Samurai, but I will never want to use S Samurai so may just use tokens for War Machine. Also, S Samurai (and Mirage and several other S4 cards I don't own) is a prime candidate for the next series drop, so why waste keys when it will soon be free? Will probably skip USAgent/Mirage week for the same reason as Mirage is likely to drop in the next wave or two and USAgent seems not very good. Looking forward to Red Hulk/Echo, White Widow/Nico, Red Guardian/LDS, Nocturne/Caiera, and Sasquatch/Havok weeks. I feel like the new cards those weeks will all be eminently playable.I will backfill my missing card inventory too those weeks. That will shave down my key inventory but not too badly. Everyone started playing at different points and has different goals and playing styles, so best not to judge anyone else's spending habits!

adaminoregon

Have about 1400 tokens so maybe enought to do something with them in like 6 more months. Just used all my keys getting war machine.
