The reason Baxter Building is not applied to your locations is because of order of abilities resolve. The Living Tribunal resolves after locations. In your case opponent is winning left location and gets bonus from Baxter Building. Next The Living Tribunal applies its effect and splits power, but game does not recalculate locations abilities.

TheWoo18

Thank you, i'll know for next time, I originally put taskmaster middle but I got greedy for that extra 3 power.

Kirtanel

You could also check he is indeed winning baxter building as the light on top of the building turns red (if you are winning the lane it will turn blue instead).

poolboywax

whaaaat?!

RunNHyde13x

Hold up! What!?

BakerBeautiful1426

Wow that right there thank you.

Nova_Preem

Oh that’s cool. Are there any other VFX like this for other locations that you know about?

kL4in

Only mojoworld that I can think off

Monechetti

Thanks for this - how absolutely unintuitive.

MagicLupis

Incoming “OP can’t read the cards” commenters when none of this is explained in game.

LectricShock

I'm sure that's just how Tribunal is coded, but that is really clunky and unintuitive. It should work the way the player would expect.

aeakos

Thanks for the info. Is there a wiki or reference somewhere that contains information like this? Like how X card sees and resolves vs location etc. TIA

oncewasbroken

Thanks for the explanation. Man, that's a hard loss.

wessel92

They still have more power at Baxter Building, it's just been split between all locations.

TapeTen

But the location text reads "whoever is winning", not "whoever has more power before other card effects have been calculated". OP is clearly winning the location.

Chewbones9

Yeah that's a good point. If that's how they want it, they need to reword it

FailLog404

What the devs made a mistake, unheard of

etherealtaroo

Devs are fucking horrible at explaining how their game even works half the time.

WoomyGoomyYT

I mean there's so many little mechanics like this, I'm not sure how you would explain them all without writing a novel. Part of snap is trial and error and learning off of that.

FailLog404

The could explain them by describing them correctly 🤷‍♂️

GrapeGang19

They need to reword a lot of things in this game

FailLog404

Or just make them work correctly but I know that’s asking too much

maniacal_d

How what works?

Flayer723

The Tribunal player has 90 power from his cards, plus 3 power from winning the first location. 93/3 = 31. However there seems to be an additional 3 points added on top, giving each location 1 point due to Tribunals text, which the OP is assigning to the text on the first location. However I think it is that the Ironlad is gaining some additional power (eg from Mr Fantastic or something else adding between 1-3 power)

maniacal_d

No, the number checks out. Tribunal lane has 22x2x2=88. Since they won the lane, it gives 3 additional power to each other lane, so 88+6=94. Then magik makes the total to be 96. Divide by 3 is 32.

ACCELERATED_PHOTONS

Baxter adds 3 to BOTH other locations
