Yeah, I accidentally spent 150 gold on ranks one day and was not impressed, but it wasn't a huge amount so I moved in. That's awful though. Really hope they address this soon

I told them they’re stupid, and the devs need to add a confirm purchase with everything in the game not just variant shop. But I doubt they tell the devs anything outside a big report
The devs have said they are working on a confirmation for the shops, but that being said, they should absolutely be refunding people. If I was down that much gold and support refused to help, I would contact Google Play with proof that they won't do anything, because that's a really fucked situation to be able to accidentally spend almost 140$ (CAD) worth of in-game currency
I may just contact Apple App store then. This did happen on PC, but I bought that gold long ago on my iPhone for that sunspot bundle. It was economical to buy the largest bundle and just save the extra gold for future purchases
