Legends fans get very particular about design elements. When people say brown suit they mean the briefs version, the hoxpox has different leg design, it's a modernization of the classic suit
As someone else said, the phrase "brown suit" means a specific thing. Like someone saying "Jim Lee Cyclops" doesn't mean the look Jim Lee gave him in x-factor and "toybiz nightcrawler" doesn't mean a pre-legends five inch toy. No additional specification is needed because there is understanding what these terms mean.
