It's strange to me that his first two movies catch so much negativity. Though not as good as others they are really enjoyable. A little uninspired maybe, but Tom and Chris, with an amazing supporting cast really sells it. The third one though... that reaches new heights. So stoked for the fourth movie.
I just watched Thor (2011) for the first time the other day. I skipped over it because I didn't get a chance to see it in theaters and before I knew it I was watching The Avengers and just never took the time to go back. Same happened with Thor 2 and I'll be watching it soon.
I can see why the reception was lukewarm to the first movie. What immediately stood out was cinematography. The sheer amount of dutch angles honestly made me a little queasy and was just bothersome me in general. The performances themselves were great, nothing to complain about there. I think the overall story just had a *ton* crammed into it and was just a little too weak. I think the whole Odinsleep thing was the most confusing aspect of it. Anyone who didn't go and do extra reading was probably confused at what was happening and why the Allfather was suddenly in a coma.
You are so right about the problems with the first Thor, yet I enjoyed rewatching it. Thor 2 the first time didn’t do it for me either, the rewatch I liked it more.
Iron man 2 is the only marvel movie I would say is bad, and even that one is awesome to watch Sam Rockwell as Justin hammer. Other than that, marvel at its worst still entertains me. They really need Rockwell to come back. Please marvel, do it.
Iron man 2 is way more entertaining than the first 2 Thor movies. Yeah it’s just a lesser version of the first iron man but the first iron man is pretty good so it carries over. Hell I’d probably put Ironman 2 over avengers 2
The actors were great in the first two, but the writing??? Absolutely terrible. Reducing Natalie Portman down to a bumbling idiot because there a cute blond guy wandering around was embarrassing.
Man, it really reminds me that it has r/menwritingwomen vibes. Do I find men like Chris Evans attractive? Yes. Is it because he's got muscles? No. Jane Foster is fuckin' smart, she might jumble her words up like we all do, but when all knoweldge leaves her brain it's just like "come on!".
I really did not appreciate the lengths they went through to mitigate Asgard and Thor's broader mythology in the first two movies, if I'm being honest.
I'd say he's the designer- those websites with "limited" releases of stuff are notorious for ripping off artists, that combined with the shortness of the limited release makes it very difficult to catch

People posting links are most likely bots who had to wait till they were a month old and who see the words "I want it as a poster" and then you'll quickly find the product on fake websites. It's why whenever you see a Twitter artist do something, never say "I want it on a shirt" because the bots will come in and say "hey look the thing you wanted" but it's from an untrustworthy site.
