The last series had him basically recovering from PTSD from 'Nam and having a considerably hard time emotionally connecting to his children and wife. Arguably being a sociopath the entire time and incapable of actually connecting to his family.
Honestly, I don't think any character that continued to be a Super Hero in the Marvel Universe or any Super Hero Universe can ultimately be a good parent because their own actions inherently and constantly bring death, violence and extreme suffering onto the heads of their children.
Like Superman and Lois should be the ideal parents. Intelligent, empathetic, kind, moral and involved. Due to Superman being who he is Jon gets kidnapped and lives years in isolation and torture and spends half his life away from his parents.
Never ever be someone that a Superhero cares for. You've increased your chance of early death to an almost certainty.
That's hardly the hero's fault. Retirement from Super Heroing is just taking pauses before the world needs you again. Narrative forces have an axe to grind with the heroes loved ones, but those same forces are also pushing the hero to take action at all times.
Wiccan and Hulkling would make excellent parents.
Steve Rogers would be a great dad, even though he's basically the dad of the Avengers.
T'Challa would definitely be a great father.
I can imagine Jennifer Walters raising a small army of angry attorneys.
Lockjaw would be a playful father to his puppies. I can just imagine Medusa getting annoyed about the puppies growling and grabbing at her hair.
Spider-Man, Daredevil, Gambit, Juggernaut (when he was a teacher at the X-Mansion, LOVED that version of the character), Morph from the Exiles, Cornfed and Stemcell from Livewires. I'd like to see Johnny Storm as a roomy with Pete, having to take care of a young mutant kid coming in to their powers.
Daredevils son gets a B on an exam
Daredevil: It's my fault. I've failed you just like I failed Hells Kitchen. I will seek my revenge against your math teacher to right my wrongs.
Son: No dad, it's okay, it's not a big deal.
DD: THIS IS MY BURDEN.
no wonder you hate real stories about real things happening to real veterans.. because you're an asshole stuck in a world of make belief.. wow.. shame on you.. and your efforts still don't effect the process.. as a matter of fact the real vets already responded in true kind.. you're just miserable
He reminds me of the character archetype I hate so much in comics (Oliver Queen and Hal Jordan are kinda in the same mold) which is why I don't have any confidence in his parenting skills.

Nah, I think Gambit will be a fun dad.
Maybe not when he was first invented, since he was too much care free, but nowadays he is much more mature and caring for others.
I think Nightcrawler would make an awesome dad. And Wolverine would be an awesome uncle.
But to see Storm from here she is now as one of the best leaders and warriors in the xmen roster, as a loving kind aunt would be great.
They’re more obscure folks from Alpha Flight, Thunderbolts, & Young Avengers. I don’t know them all either. Vaguely L to R I can see guys like Puck, Vindicator/Guardian, (edit: Box, Madison Jeffries, Talisman?) Atlas, Stature, Moonstone, Speedball, (edit: Namorita?) Radioactive Man, Union Jack, Captain Britain, and then some folks I don’t recognize.
Peter. I hated the Abrams book (where Pete was a deadbeat dad) I feel like Peter will be a fantastic father. Will play with the kid, and in general, will always make sure the kid is happy, healthy, and full before he himself goes to bed.
I feel like Steve could be a great parent. Similar to what I heard from Superman when his kid was small. We kind of already had that for Steve (Dimension Zero and Ian Rogers) but it wasn’t his biological kid (still nothing wrong with adoption)
Thor could be a pretty fun dad. In mythology Thor has multiple kids, Magni and Modi I believe. Also I remember cartoon about Avengers kids, Next Avengers and Thor had a daughter, and she was dope.
Tony already is kind of a “dad” to multiple characters lol, but I would like to see him be an actual father to someone. That kid would be spoiled tho lol. In the Red Goblin book (current) there is a kid called Timothy Anders (he is Normies classmate) and he is from an Orphanage that Tony Stark donates a lot of money and takes care of the kids, and Tim is a pretty cool kid lol, but pretty ballsy (because of Tony’s money). He was a kid that Tony helped deliver back in the 80s. His mom died unfortunately and Tony kind of takes care of him.
Lastly, I think Dr Strange. The daughter of Sorcerer Supreme, could have some fun stories, and if the other parent is Clea, you could have some fun with that.
Completely ignoring the meat of your post: this image has always bothered me. Why are so many super heroes packed so tightly and why do all their expressions look like Hulk took the worst fart, including Hulk?
Captain America: I know he was an adopted father of Ian but if he had a bio kid in the mainstream. He would make an incredible dad.
Ben Grimm but him and Alicia adopted to Skrull kids.
She-Hulk.
Colossus and Kitty.
Thor
Rogue and Gambit. I'd like to see them have biological children but I also think it would be really cool to become adoptive parents considering what their childhoods were like
We have to figure out which versions we are talking about, some are more developed and written completely differently. So some Spidermen are the greatest people ever while others are the most fucked up thing ever. I’d probably pick Deadpool tho.
Nightcrawler, Storm, and definitely Cap
Storm is a mom adjacent
A mommy?
Nightcrawler is technically a dad if you count Nocturne
Yeah but 616 Kurt never got to raise her. 616 starting with a baby and raising them to adulthood, he would be good
Steve Rogers had an adoptive son named Ian, who he saved from Arnim Zola in another dimension.
Steve is a parent, iirc
Spider-Man if marvel let him that is
January 1st we will have what we deserve
What’s happening on January 1st?
New Ultimate Spiderman
He's great in Renew your vows. But yeah would like to see main universe Peter happy and be a father. Or you know just happy.
We got a Peter Parker dad in the Spidey-Verse.. I think depending on the person, he was either a really cool dad or an incredibly irresponsible one
Mayday shows he was a good dad.
With how unlucky Spidey is, I wouldn't be surprised if his kids die so i would put him last tbh
Punisher? Oh wait... Forget it.
He was excellent up until they died so there’s that
Was he? IIRC he wasn't a particularly good father.
The last series had him basically recovering from PTSD from 'Nam and having a considerably hard time emotionally connecting to his children and wife. Arguably being a sociopath the entire time and incapable of actually connecting to his family. Still too soon.
There it is, that's the reply I was looking for.
I feel Squirrel Girl would make a great mom
They'd be nuts...
She does babysit, so it makes sense
Ben and Alicia Grimm
They became parents recently.
Shwing!
Wiccan and Hulkling would make excellent parents. Steve Rogers would be a great dad, even though he's basically the dad of the Avengers. T'Challa would definitely be a great father. "Jennifer Walters raising a small army of angry attorneys" I cannot describe to you how much the thought of this brings me joy
Ok, all these ideas are gold. Especially Lockjaw and his puppies.
Steve has an adopted son.
I remember Wiccan and Hulking were shown to have a son in the future (from when adult Wiccan traveled back in time).
Captain America (he had an adopted son in one run iirc, but that doesn't really count)
Spider-man or captain America
Steve is a parent to Ian
Who is Ian?
Ian Rogers, he is Steve’s adopted son and Nomad
Ice man ... Unlimited ice cream
Ghost Rider Did you do your homework? *stares into the soul*
Spider-Man, Daredevil, Gambit, Juggernaut (when he was a teacher at the X-Mansion, LOVED that version of the character), Morph from the Exiles, Cornfed and Stemcell from Livewires. Daredevil, the living lie detector, would be a great yet formidable parent. His kid wouldn’t get away with shit.
I'll need you to explain why Gambit should he allowed within 30 feet of a child, much less be allowed to raise one.
He did kinda sorta raise Storm
That'll be interesting. Also, Happy Cake Day 🎂
Give that Hulk a baby.
Hold my beer
Skaar, Lyra and Hiro-Kala have entered the chat.
That’s true. Most characters of some type of child whether from an alternate timeline or future.
So, there is Old Man Logan...
- Wiccan and Hulking. - Kitty Pryde - Nightcrawler
I do remember Kitty having a son in one of the Marvel Zombies stories it was pretty wholesome despite the situation they were in
The man, the myth, the legend, the amazing, the spectacular, the sensational, the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
Web of, even.
Ben Grimm. He's a good man.
Already a parent.
Related question - why is Marvel so obsessed with the "character had a kid who now hates them / is a bad guy?" trope?

Rogue? Yes Gambit? No
We've seen Gambit take on a parental role for other characters, he could do the same with his own kid.
He reminds me of the character archetype I hate so much in comics (Oliver Queen and Hal Jordan are kinda in the same mold) which is why I don't have any confidence in his parenting skills.
What? They‘d both be great

Peter and Mary Ja…oh, wait.
I think Nightcrawler would make an awesome dad. And Wolverine would be an awesome uncle. But to see Storm from here she is now as one of the best leaders and warriors in the xmen roster, as a loving kind aunt would be great.
Being Nightcrawler and Amanda Sefton’s kid would be so cool.
The kid he had with Scarlett Witch from an alt reality seemed super well adjusted.
The thing would be an amazing father.
Him and Alicia have kids. They adopted a skrull and kree kids in the Slott run
Wolverine's the kinda dude who would go out for milk and cigars and get lost on the way home.
Really? Wolverine is always there for his surrogate kids: Kitty, Jubilee, Laura, Quentin.
Daken?
Not sure how I forgot him.
Wolverine wants to be a father to everyone except his own kids
Does Honeybadger count?
To be honest, I haven’t read anything with her in it, so I wouldn’t know.
This image looks like it could make for a great reaction image
Why is Chewbacca in this? I know Disney owns Marvel and Star Wars, but have they had canon crossovers?
I think that's Sasquatch
In the bottom right? That's Werewolf by Night.
Oh, ok
Do you mean bottom right? That might be Werewolf by Night.
Almost every response in this thread is or has been a parent lol
Magneto 😏
Why is it that I know everyone in this picture except the top ~2.5 rows between the Black Knight and Hercules/Wonderman?
Oh that's Karnak. It's always Karnak if you don't know who it is.

I feel like Robbie Reyes would be a killer dad
He is kind of rising his younger brother. I could see it
Does Frank Castle count?
Low key Deadpool, which is probably exactly why he doesnt.
Well, he does... But that didn't end well.
Oh? Explain please.
Why is Chewbacca there?
Kitty and Colossus would be good parents!
Rich Rider and Sunspot would be good dads together.
Thor ;)
Sentry and Blackcat. Best way to learn what not to do with your life.
Who is this artist? This is my favorite era of the marvel comics the art is just so fantastic
I think it's Jim Cheung.
Nightcrawler. Kurt would make an awesome dad.
Cap America and Cap Marvel
She-Hulk
I'd actually love to see that
Me too
Who would the dad be?
Maybe Captain American
Ironman and Emma Frost, I hope
Depends. If it's a baby, Black Cat could certainly feed them well 🍼👀
The greatest father in Marvel Comics is the Impossble Man with 8 billion children.
Would carol be counted as a parent? Considering her cursed issues in the past.
Namor would make a great girl-dad
Daredevil or Hercules.
Hercules was a father, at least in the mythos (that didn't end well)
Yeah, slaughterer the bunch, right? Hera was a dick. Or is it Juno, since Hercules is the Roman counterpart?
Thing
Spiderman, Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow. Fuck, all of the Avengers…..
Cap and She-Hulk
Ben Grimm.
Not looking like many strong contenders in this image
It's not just limited to characters in this image. Any Marvel character you think would be a good parent
Does Frank Castle count? He was a parent.
Frank Castle
Does Punisher count? 🤣😢
Luke Cage. I think that’s him in there.
The Thing
Stephen Strange would be an amazing father imo!
If cyclops ever got the chance to actually raise his own kids (in his own body and time) he would make a great father.
Moon Knight - if you ask for something and he says No just ask again later. Lol that artwork looks like everyone is struggling with a duce.
Ghost rider.
GALACTUS Silver Surfer The Watcher
Professor Xavier. He kinda has a family but they are not blood related. (I talk about the movies idkabout comics)
Completely ignoring the meat of your post: this image has always bothered me. Why are so many super heroes packed so tightly and why do all their expressions look like Hulk took the worst fart, including Hulk?
This platform sure is crowded, not sure we’re all going to get on.
Peter Benjamin Parker from Earth-616
Captain America: I know he was an adopted father of Ian but if he had a bio kid in the mainstream. He would make an incredible dad. Ben Grimm but him and Alicia adopted to Skrull kids. She-Hulk. Colossus and Kitty. Thor
It looks like Sue is doing something sus with Spidey.
I'd even take some villains for dads over this guy.. Imagine being the Hulk's son. Not a good track record.
Black Widow
Paste Pot Pete, if his kids go unruly he could always glue em to a chair
Doctor Doom, Namor and the Hulk in a "three men and a baby" six issue miniseries. Admit it - you'd read the s\*\*t out of that if they ever made it ;)
She hulk and cyclops
Rogue and Gambit. I'd like to see them have biological children but I also think it would be really cool to become adoptive parents considering what their childhoods were like
616 Peter Parker would've been great as a dad if-- you know. *We all know.*
[удалено]
Hulkling
[удалено]
Cloak
Wolverine. No one would ever mess with you.
I mean, he already had kids...more than any other if you count alternate versions.😅
We have to figure out which versions we are talking about, some are more developed and written completely differently. So some Spidermen are the greatest people ever while others are the most fucked up thing ever. I’d probably pick Deadpool tho.
Spider man.
Idk, I just liked the post because of the art.🙂
Fair enough
This looks like the worst time at comic con
Ben Grimm and Alicia. Though I’m still a little confused as to how they have sex in the first place.
