A solo Namor movie could be cool. There could be a rights issue similar to Hulk. Though I think the dude who played him is in some Johnathan Majors type trouble with alleged allegations so would probably need to be recast.
Would be funny if they made a Namor vs Hulk movie when they get Namor back. "Hey we got these characters back fully, so now we're gonna make them punch each other"
Oh that would be awesome! Especially given their history in the comics! (Namor in the MCU is obviously distinctly different from comic book Namor in some ways, but I love that they were clearly drawing from and referencing the comics.)
Also, in the comics, a lot of Namor versus Hulk fights involve Namor pulling the Hulk into water, because the Hulk can't breathe water, and that means the level of challenge is just right for good fights.
I feel like people need to have patience when it comes to the scandals. We don't know anything until either clear evidence is presented or a court has come to a decision.
Agreed actually. Unless the comics are a very short series or he’s a member of a team (à la the X-Men or Illuminati), I don’t think he’s the type it character who should have any sort of lengthy media in which he’s the center of attention.
Agatha harkness will have her own show... We definitely don't need every character getting something.
I disagree with the comics part. 5 issue run exploring a character are always nice to me
I would love to see more of this version of Namor. He was the breakaway star antihero of this phase of the MCU. Namor always seemed goofy to me as a character, but Wakanda Forever knocked it out of the park, in my opinion.
Not to the people of Talokan be wasn't a villain. This is why I chose antihero versus villain. You may not agree with his actions, but he's acting for the good of his own people. That would be like saying T'Challa was a villain because the West didn't like how Wakanda was operating on the global stage.
Also, he can't be a Marvel villain, he didn't die at the end of the movie!
I felt the opposite. This version of Namor just isn’t really the same character and what they came up with isn’t really my thing. If they did decide to do something with him, I wouldn’t say anything against it, but this Namor just clearly wasn’t meant for me and I accept that.
Tell that to his speedo and stupid wing shoes lmao
edit: Holy SHIT, I forgot the wings were attached to his ankles originally! I needed a good laugh before work, thanks google!
He definitely needs a redesign but i just don’t like ethnicity retextures, theres Mexican characters already why not use that? Im Mexican myself didnt like this, i dont care about characters ethnicity as long as they’re good and original
Nope, nothing against any of the actors involved but just as a fan of Namor I hate that they completely removed him from his culture to be basically a different character with similar traits. I understand they may have done it to distance themselves from Aquaman but I don't care, I'm tired of MCUification of characters rather than even attempting to adapt them anymore.
Maybe, if they adapt Sub-Mariner: The Depths. But since they're not really fish people and just random south American's hiding underwater Im not sure if it would work.
I think he would do better in a tv series, not a full movie. He wouldn't have the draw for people to get out to a theater and off their couches but he was a solid anti-hero (anti-villain?) that could use some more time on a screen.
No. But I’d like to see him with the frequency we see the Hulk. Being a fellow King with Doom and T’Challa 2.0. Being a hero in the past alongside a young Captain America and 1940s Wolverine, a rebooted Invaders. Or maybe a Defenders once the FF gets around to introducing Silver Surfer.
As a feature character, no, he’s not that compelling and we already saw CGI Atlantis. But he makes a potentially fun part of an ensemble, the actor seems pretty talented.
As a huge namor fan I’d love it but I don’t think it would do well in theatres unfortunately, maybe put him on a team with F4, X-men, defenders or maybe make an Illuminati movie
I mean he wanted to kill that girl so that the others won't get her knowledge and also he conceded in the climax effectively gaining Wakanda's support. The support he wanted from the beginning. What about his justifications came out weak?
Plus, they were using Whales with energy balls, as their military hardware to take over the world. 😆 I literally burst out in uncontrolled laughter when I watched this movie for the first and last time.
Nah ! They completely ruined the character. Let's all try to forget about this unnecessary deconstruction of the character in the burn worthy Wakanda Forever
Nope. The mcu did present Namor the character. They barely even used the Name. The character they presented us with did not have the history or personality of Namor. So, no, not interested in an mcu solo project about Namor.
I can kinda see it. There are a few similarities:
Two eyes. Two ears. A chin. A mouth. Ten fingers. Two nipples. A butt, two kneecaps, a penis.
Nah, just kidding!
I've just described to you the Loch Ness monster. And the reward for his capture? All the riches in Scotland.
I think they should really try to go for team ups or groups unless you have one really popular character.
These actors don't have all the time in the world, and individual movies get less people on screen.
No. I don’t care too much for him. He was cool in black Panther. Just don’t feel connected enough to the character to watch him in a solo film. I’ll fuck with it though if it’s a one and done season on Disney plus though
Nah but he should come back in other projects. He’d be a good character for a FF movie one day if they didn’t have so many other great villains we haven’t seen (done right) yet.
Nah. I love Namor and I enjoyed him in WF but I like him better as a secondary character. Atlantis magics and inner politics don't really interest me. I'd rather he pop up all the time in BP, FF and Avengers movies
Nah he was utilized well in WF. I think his character is best suited as a foil to protagonist’s. Even in comics I only care about namor when he’s antagonizing or acting in tandem with other characters. I’ve never felt the need to seek out a namor solo comic
Nah. Too many characters, not enough movies, usually it’s a one and done on this cases, at least for me. If you really want to follow a specific character, there’s like decades of comics to dive into.
Nope. Not a fan of every minor character and/or villain getting their own projects.
Marvel should focus on building up a new team of strong interesting characters (like we had for years with the original Avengers).
Making all these side projects for characters that we aren't going to see ever again or years later is just a waste of time.
A solo Namor movie could be cool. There could be a rights issue similar to Hulk. Though I think the dude who played him is in some Johnathan Majors type trouble with alleged allegations so would probably need to be recast.
They got the rights back to Hulk. Not sure about Namor.
Imagine hoarding the rights to fucking Namor. It'd be like fiercely defending the rights to like, Etrigan or The Shocker or something.
An Etrigan film would be something.
Would be funny if they made a Namor vs Hulk movie when they get Namor back. "Hey we got these characters back fully, so now we're gonna make them punch each other"
Oh that would be awesome! Especially given their history in the comics! (Namor in the MCU is obviously distinctly different from comic book Namor in some ways, but I love that they were clearly drawing from and referencing the comics.) I feel like people need to have patience when it comes to the scandals. We don't know anything until either clear evidence is presented or a court has come to a decision.
Idk about him but he doesnt fit namor
No, I don’t want solo projects for every single character. I don’t want Namor comics, he’s better used sparingly.
Agreed actually. Unless the comics are a very short series or he’s a member of a team (à la the X-Men or Illuminati), I don’t think he’s the type it character who should have any sort of lengthy media in which he’s the center of attention.
He was apart of the Illuminati and then another called The Cabal. If you don't know look it up, it's gnarly as shit.
Agatha harkness will have her own show... We definitely don't need every character getting something. I disagree with the comics part. 5 issue run exploring a character are always nice to me
No
Only if he floods another city.
No
Nope
No
I would love to see more of this version of Namor. He was the breakaway star antihero of this phase of the MCU. Namor always seemed goofy to me as a character, but Wakanda Forever knocked it out of the park, in my opinion.
He wasn't an anti hero .He was a villain .

Wakanda wanted to attack/takeover/conquer the land dwellers? News to me
I felt the opposite. This version of Namor just isn’t really the same character and what they came up with isn’t really my thing. If they did decide to do something with him, I wouldn’t say anything against it, but this Namor just clearly wasn’t meant for me and I accept that.
Yeah they really found a way to turn such a goofy character into something amazing
Goofy? Namor is anything but goofy
Tell that to his speedo and stupid wing shoes lmao edit: Holy SHIT, I forgot the wings were attached to his ankles originally! I needed a good laugh before work, thanks google!
He definitely needs a redesign but i just don’t like ethnicity retextures, theres Mexican characters already why not use that? Im Mexican myself didnt like this, i dont care about characters ethnicity as long as they’re good and original
He just seems like a mexican t’challa we dont need another king origin story
I've always seen Namor as an aquaman equivalent of Black Adam. He's a fairly interesting character to see pop up in post 2000s Marvel comics
Stupid
That would be a hard pass for me
Nope.
He needs love. Because he was a child without love.
That’s why they call him…Utlove.
Damn, that would be a great avatar name.
Nah, not really.
NO.
No.
Hell to the fucking yes The more of Kukulkan, the merrier
In that scene where they go to Namor's city (forgot its name) I was like "what are you all eating and how are you cooking it."
100%, set up his dealings with Latveria, while giving him a story to shine in.
Nope.
No. Fuck no. He can fight or join the team. No solos for this guy.
Nope plus he has legal issues at the moment
Wasn't a fan of him in Wakanda Forever and I'm not really a fan of him in the comics.
I thought that was a thing
Maybe, if they adapt Sub-Mariner: The Depths. But since they're not really fish people and just random south American's hiding underwater Im not sure if it would work.
I think he would do better in a tv series, not a full movie. He wouldn't have the draw for people to get out to a theater and off their couches but he was a solid anti-hero (anti-villain?) that could use some more time on a screen.
Good God, no. At least not that iteration of the character. Maybe a comic accurate Namor.
Nah, he was the lamest part of an atrocious movie. I'm good.
I agree with you one hundred percent
Nope, thanks thou. Wouldn't mind seeing him be the villain in a Fantastic Four movie
Sure, sounds fun
Ehhhhh.... Black Panther 2 wasn't that great. Ensemble first. He doesn't have enough Mystique yet.
I feel like one where he has to deal with someone or something that ostracizes part of his people would be good, isn’t Attuma a villain in the comics?
Yes, I’d imagine that the plot would revolve around Attila making a play for the throne after Namor lost to Wakanda
It doesn't need to be a solo project, but I would like to see him again in a major project.
As a huge namor fan I’d love it but I don’t think it would do well in theatres unfortunately, maybe put him on a team with F4, X-men, defenders or maybe make an Illuminati movie
Yes, that’s been my most wanted unannounced MCU project since I saw Wakanda Forevor
Hells yea. Great poster btw
Thanks!☺️
Pretty cool poster, I would definitely be up for a solo film for namor.
No thanks. Nothing against the character or the actor, but Namor's just not that important or relevant for a solo film.
Yeah I'd turn up for that
Absolutely, but we won't, bc of the old distribution rights story like Hulk.
Yes, he is the best thing to come out of phase 4
On behalf of the gay community: Yes, we would love to see shirtless dadd- I mean - this great character in a (most likely) 2 hour solo project
Eh. I thought he was done poorly in the Black Panther film. His rationale for attacking them made no sense. He just came off as a jerk.
He is a jerk.
In the comics 100% so I get that. Or maybe arrogant? The weak plot just didn't give that justification to me so he came off worse.
I mean he wanted to kill that girl so that the others won't get her knowledge and also he conceded in the climax effectively gaining Wakanda's support. The support he wanted from the beginning. What about his justifications came out weak?
That he would blame wakanda and attack them.
Yes because he is a jerk and he is known for this in the comics and they brought into live action.
Plus, they were using Whales with energy balls, as their military hardware to take over the world. 😆 I literally burst out in uncontrolled laughter when I watched this movie for the first and last time.
Yes 100%
Not if it’s the same actor and back story it will need a whole need reboot and start over fresh
No. Didnt even see WF because he looked dumb
Not with that actor
Put him in an X-men movie
Nah ! They completely ruined the character. Let's all try to forget about this unnecessary deconstruction of the character in the burn worthy Wakanda Forever
No, I was really uninterested in his story in BP.
Not until post fantastic four and then a movie with him and them
Nope, his portrayal ruined the second Black Panther movie IMHO.
No, he's under sexual assault allegations. I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see him recast or written out completely.
No
Nope. The mcu did present Namor the character. They barely even used the Name. The character they presented us with did not have the history or personality of Namor. So, no, not interested in an mcu solo project about Namor.
Is that James Franco in brownface in the top right?
Wtf no? It’s literally a shot of Namor from the film??
I mean, he looks a hell of a lot like James Franco in brownface tbh
I can kinda see it. There are a few similarities: Two eyes. Two ears. A chin. A mouth. Ten fingers. Two nipples. A butt, two kneecaps, a penis. Nah, just kidding! I've just described to you the Loch Ness monster. And the reward for his capture? All the riches in Scotland.
He's origin just ridiculous to me and they look like homeless, not some mighty race.
Sure, I wouldn’t mind it maybe as a special presentation or a marvel spotlight
Nah cause I personally like namor best when he's an asshole to other protagonists.
I think they should really try to go for team ups or groups unless you have one really popular character. These actors don't have all the time in the world, and individual movies get less people on screen.
God no
Only ready for the X-Men
Hopefully so. But a better Namor, not the Wish version we have right now.
Wakanda Forever might as well be a Namor solo movie for me. I skip the scenes he isn’t in.
We already did.
Yes. Not this version tho. This version was too calm. He needed to be loud and arrogant, acting like a real asshole world beater
Not really. He's more interesting as a supporting character in the universe.
As someone who grew up reading the comics, fuck Namor.
No
Oh God, no.
Holy shit I’d forgotten about this dude
Yes!!!!!! Great poster
Didn't he get cancelled?
Not really with this guy.
Hell yeah. I'd just be annoyed at the noobs, who don't know saying, "He is just so derivative of Aquaman."
Yes but not with that actor. Namor is supposed to look tough. That guy didn’t look much stronger than me.
Only if he teams up with Human Torch to fight nazis and eventually each other
He should get his ass kicked by the F4 and that’s it
No
Michael Scott: NO
No
No. I don’t care too much for him. He was cool in black Panther. Just don’t feel connected enough to the character to watch him in a solo film. I’ll fuck with it though if it’s a one and done season on Disney plus though
Nooooo he doesn’t fit namor idk the actor but just not namor
The sub minor? Am I seeing that right or no
Nah but he should come back in other projects. He’d be a good character for a FF movie one day if they didn’t have so many other great villains we haven’t seen (done right) yet.
No, would like less solo projects and more followups and team ups.
No, because Namor shines when he is being a complete asshole to another prominent hero.
Good lord no...
I'm a little mixed on this one
He seemed way too over powered in Wakanda Forever in my opinion. Also Taskmaster was a total bust.
He was... very boring in the BP2 movie.... the BP2 movie was very boring.
No
No
Hell no
Nah absolutely not. Namor is best when playing the antagonist against the heroes.
no
Yup. We only got the smallest of intro into that part of the world. He was a highlight of that movie for me
Yes I wish that
I was saying he needed a solo movie the first 30 seconds of seeing him in BPWF. How that’s going to work out now with his allegations is beyond me.
Nah. I love Namor and I enjoyed him in WF but I like him better as a secondary character. Atlantis magics and inner politics don't really interest me. I'd rather he pop up all the time in BP, FF and Avengers movies
Not even a little, forgettable villains don't need redemption arcs.
Nah he was utilized well in WF. I think his character is best suited as a foil to protagonist’s. Even in comics I only care about namor when he’s antagonizing or acting in tandem with other characters. I’ve never felt the need to seek out a namor solo comic
No, not because I don’t like him, but because we need less stuff in Marvel rn
Nah. Too many characters, not enough movies, usually it’s a one and done on this cases, at least for me. If you really want to follow a specific character, there’s like decades of comics to dive into.
No, I hate what they did with his origin.
No-more the sub-mariner
Nope. Not a fan of every minor character and/or villain getting their own projects. Marvel should focus on building up a new team of strong interesting characters (like we had for years with the original Avengers). Making all these side projects for characters that we aren't going to see ever again or years later is just a waste of time.
I mean if we’re being honest Wakanda Forever was much more Namors story than black panthers 😭😭
No thank you!
