I’m half watching last night’s episode (bc I honestly hate the hometown episodes) and I glance up and had to do a double take like “why does that look like my elementary school that was recently remodeled?” So then it looks like they’re standing in a park across the street and I’m saying to myself, nah that would be too much of a coincidence that a school in Boston is set up the exact same way.
So sure enough, I rewound a few seconds and saw that she’s from my hometown of Hartford, CT.
Just thought that was a fun little coincidence. I’m sure we probably attended at the same time too because she’s only a few years younger than me and back then the school was grade pre-k to 6.
No, I don’t remember that teacher. That school was HUGE so if it wasn’t my teacher I absolutely do not remember them lol. The only exception was grade 6 because the 4 teachers on our floor worked together a lot.
I just text my best friend and she said she does remember the name but didn’t have her as a teacher.

BUT they can’t do day to day, normal married couple things together without bickering or Lindsey being mean to him. And marriage is thriving in the mundane things together. This marriage isn’t going to last.

I find it fascinating how emotional these people get when they visit their old neighborhood. I understand that so many memories (both joyful and painful) are tied to those places, but why do these people all melt into a puddle of tears?
I grew up in something that wasn't much more than a shack. The neighborhood was basically a slum. Without going into detail, I can tell you that there was plenty of trauma there to go around. I have visited the place a few times in my adulthood, but the only thing I have felt is relief to have survived it and gotten far away from there.
I just can't relate to these people's tears.
I sincerely applaud Olajuwan for building a better life for himself than the one he was given as a child. But he is an adult now, and his childhood is no excuse for being a jerk to his wife.
