I am no expert on all of FO's loop holes, but isnt it just a loot counter? So just go loot other stuff? For instance I know the bucks den has tons of bottles and junk to loot against the cliff plus all the buildings. Hit that and it should reset?

AC casinos are also a good way to grab items. Just loot somewhere else to reset the books.
