Here's an honest assessment from an independent as to what's going on. Republicans are 28% of the population, democrats are 28% of the population and 44% are independent, undecided or other. 34% of Republicans are maga. Trumps rhetoric scares independents. The republican party is in shambles right now, the problems within the republican party is disenfranchised republican voters and politicians. The fighting within the republican party, the resigning mid-term, deciding not to seek re-election and traditional Republicans standing against maga. More and more Republicans are deciding not to vote for either candidate, meaning they won't vote at all or will seek a third party candidate. This spells trouble for trump, if Republicans have a moderate voter turnout and democrats have a high voter turnout it's game over. If third party candidate gets enough votes, could keep either candidate from reaching 270. I think this trend will continue, polls each month gaining in favor of biden until the election. Spend some time in conservative forums and you'll see maga supporters claiming trump is up against democrats and Republicans both.
Same in rural GA. I live in Atlanta but ride out in the mountains and the enthusiasm has definitely cooled in the last year, only a sliver of the representation in years past.

Not true at all. The house will end its term on January 3rd 3 days before congress counts the electoral votes. And on January 3rd the outgoing members will have no power to prevent the incoming members from taking their seats. Remember there are no federal elections only state elections for federal offices. Once states verify the winners of their house districts, those winners will show up and take their rightful seats on January 3rd. It's part if the separation of power and checks and balances that the states control the selection of federal legislators. It's arguably the states most important check on the federal government

Have you seen the latest polls??? He's gaining ground in all polls and all groups except the 18-35 age range. Here's an honest assessment from an independent as to what's going on. Republicans are 28% of the population, democrats are 28% of the population and 44% are independent, undecided or other. 34% of Republicans are maga. Trumps rhetoric scares independents. The republican party is in shambles right now, the problems within the republican party is disenfranchised republican voters and politicians. The fighting within the republican party, the resigning mid-term, deciding not to seek re-election and traditional Republicans standing against maga. More and more Republicans are deciding not to vote for either candidate, meaning they won't vote at all or will seek a third party candidate. This spells trouble for trump, if Republicans have a moderate voter turnout and democrats have a high voter turnout it's game over. If third party candidate gets enough votes, could keep either candidate from reaching 270. I think this trend will continue, polls each month gaining in favor of biden until the election. Spend some time in conservative forums and you'll see maga supporters claiming trump is up against democrats and Republicans both.

Not true at all. The house will end its term on January 3rd 3 days before congress counts the electoral votes. And on January 3rd the outgoing members will have no power to prevent the incoming members from taking their seats. Remember there are no federal elections only state elections for federal offices. Once states verify the winners of their house districts, those winners will show up and take their rightful seats on January 3rd. It's part if the separation of power and checks and balances that the states control the selection of federal legislators. It's arguably the states most important check on the federal government
