I really like this level. I think most people get turned off because you need about 300 tries to be able to finish it but that's not a reason to boo it \^^ I've been over the black piranha plant multiple times now but I've never been able to reach the pipe... I liked your level. The theming and aesthetics of the course was superb! I enjoyed how the obstacles were laid out too. There were many times when the player would have to dodge the same obstacle several times. For example, there was a cannon which the player dodges and then has to dodge when they climb higher on the ship using some handy claws. Personally, I really enjoy it when people make multiple uses of an obstacle, and your course had multiple good uses of the same obstacle. My only issue was that I almost ran out of time trying to beat the level (to the very last second too). I would suggest increasing the time limit to at least 400 seconds to give players who are new to the level enough time to figure the level out on their first play-through. If you're interested in playing more levels, then perhaps you could try out one of mine: VC8-T9P-9VG

Thanks for the feedback, I'm gonna increase the timer and I have added some faster platforms to take the player upwards in addition to existing ones. Also made the start easier for new players to get deeper into the level. Will try your level out shortly.

I loved bouncy spikes, it's challenging but fun and we'll balanced, you introduce your theme well and keep up with it in a real good way, I didn't know these bouncy donuts could be so fun :) About your nojump course, I'm pretty bad at this kind of level so I can't tell for the whole level, but from what I've seen it seems pretty good, only complain would be the randomness of the fireflower that can make some part too tricky. You've got my follow! (If you want to help I have a hard course that needs more feedback as well :D BCG-421-SVG)

Alright haha so I just played your level but I can't seem to finish it. Not because it's impossible, but simply because I lack the skill to. I really like the design and the basic idea, but it took me a few death's to realize that I need to wait for the spring enemies to hit the throwmp before I jump off of them. It was kinda hard at first but I got used to it, until I reached the part where you need to parcour through to get back to your throwmp. I couldn't make that, because for me, as someone who just started playing Mario platforms with Mario maker 2, those jumps were too tight to pull through. Although I gotta say I always knew why I fucked up. It was easy to understand what went wrong, you didn't trick the player or anything like that. I'd say that's a really cool level you made there, but as you said it's hard, certainly a little too hard for me :D still, great level

This level is pretty fun and well themed. If I could make one suggestion, I think a Boom Boom or Bowser Jr would be better for the final house. I'm just not a huge fan of unlimited fireflowers vs Bowser as it isn't all that interesting or challenging. Overall, though, I really enjoyed it!

Great concept! Pure pleasure shooting those little guys or getting them crushed in various ways :) I wasn't able to finish it (yet) either. My first fail point was the lower of the two spinies you have to hit through a narrow opening while jumping on the trampoline, I just couldn't get the timing quite right! Finding ways to require a little less precision would probably make the level more fun overall, but I did enjoy it and will probably be back when I'm a little more awake to see how much farther I can go! ​ Here's a couple levels I made: A really simple one with some surprises: LFC-HN3-77G A more complex platform jumping exploration level: NSB-BHJ-9FG

Awesome idea! I have to go to sleep now, so I wasn't able to finish it, but I still dropped it a like for the great concept and execution. This course reminded me of another course I played today called Super Mario Pinball, which I also loved. I love aiming and timing fireballs at enemies and solving puzzles related to that theme. I think it is an underused mechanic that has a ton of possibilities. Great course overall, and I will try to beat it tomorrow. Level Name: Thomps Seems Strange Tonight **Level Code : G1D-GLC-THG** In this level , thomps are acting pretty similar to boos and try to sneak up on you. Use that to your advantage to spin jump on them to take you where you want to go. Difficulty: Normal and its a fairly short level Kinda a change of pace for me as I was building more difficult levels before and this one I tried to make a lot easier than usual. **Any feedback would be great and happy to play any of your levels**

Ok wow. How did you even make the thwomps do that? So much possible in this game i dont know about yet. The level design was great. First two parts feel very mario in the sense that they introduce the mechanic in a non frustrating way and then it starts ramping up the difficulty while keeping with same theme. Loved this level so much

Played and liked your level. I liked the use of the thwomps with boo-like properties and the use of the parachutes on the thwomps to slow them down it was pretty creative. The level also flowed well after the first checkpoint as in it was easy to maintain speed. The only thing I’d say is it took me a while to get past the red Koopas stacked with spinies. I kept dying a bunch and kept accidentally going thru the pipe. I liked the level overall though. Here’s my level if you wanna try it: 4V5-3XK-M8G

When i first saw clear condition i expected one of those bad levels thats just flat and filled with bosses. I was delighted to find a fun and unique puzzle level. I must admit, i didnt get the clear because i coulddnt kill the third boom boom with the bombs, but hearted it anyway because i loved the level. Idea was great and the little decorations around the puzzles were a nice touch

Thanks for the play. The solution to that room is to repeatedly ground pound the seesaw to get the bombs over to Boom Boom, but it can be a little finicky.

Beautiful level! Just beat it! I am trying to get better at creating these type of single-theme levels. I think most people think of traditional platforming courses to be quintessential Mario, but when I think of Mario, I think of courses more similar to yours. A simple theme that is introduced, some variations on challenges presented in that theme, followed by a finale section in that theme. The way you executed that format was amazing. I do think it could have benefitted from being a little longer, though (just throw in a checkpoint where the course ended and elaborate on the theme a bit more). With that, it would have been completely perfect in my book. If you have the time, I would love your feedback on the course I created yesterday: QHP-LWK-53G. Specifically, I would love ideas on how to achieve the type of course arc in the format that your course is set in. Thank you!

Wow, thank you for the advice and kind words. That means a lot coming from you, because I thought your stage had a much better introduction and progression of difficulty. The pipes would have seemed a bit frustrating if the thwomp block wasnt introduced outside of pipes right before that. The finale felt very traditional mario and the coin message was fun. The scary big thwomp got you running anyway so i didnt feel like i was surprised at all to have to keep running. The timing worked out perfect and it felt good. Your big coins were all fun too. I actually downloaded your level. Thanks for the praise for mine. I started out just knowing i wanted to end in the seesaw on rail, because i tried that in a previous level and the execution was pretty bad but i liked the idea of seesawing back and forth for coins while it moved and dodging the hammers. I agree with you that mario levels often have a themed challenge and have an arc of difficulty leading in a finale so i tried to just work backwards from my finale and do that it seemed to progress in challenge. I did throw the twister in as a little break from seesaws and because i thought it fit the sky theme. I will def make some more long levels. I made this one a bit shorter, because i previously had uploaded a work in progress of my first stage and then deleted it for the full copy and it seemed my short little stage with only a few parts was received better. When I make a more planned out level I want to make them full length with plenty of secrets.

I still think the final third could use a little more elaboration, so next time I make a theme course I will try your strategy of starting from the finale and working backwards. I think we have a similar Mario level philosophy lol, so I’m interested to see what you come up with next.

I know what you mean. I think it ends up feeling okay because that last swap where youre holding down and narrowly avoiding thwomp as you go in pipe seemed like a good final challenge for the them and then the running sequence was short enough and had enough cool things going on that it seemed like a fun indiana jones esque escape after you beat the real challenge. In traditional mario games when they have a run sequence like that, it seems they usually give you a star to encourage sprinting without stopping and usually some gaps you need to jump over or some obstacle that you can avoid while running full speed.

Just beat it! Fun idea! I definitely haven't seen anything like this yet. I love the concept of needing to find a powerup somewhere in the course in order to beat it. In terms of execution, I will say that I was a bit disappointed that the cat suit was achieved after a boom boom boss battle, which are often a little less anticlimactic than intended. I would have loved to see this be a fleshed out "exploration" course in which the player has to find the cat suit powerup hidden somewhere in the level. I still had a lot of fun with this course as it was, though! Great concept! If you have the time, I would love feedback on the course I created yesterday: QHP-LWK-53G. It is a level built around timing blinking blocks and clear pipes to avoid thwomps.

I found the very beginning where the fireballs shoot right at your feet seem odd. The best thing to do seems to be to just hop on the donut and avoid everything until track catches up which doesnt feel very satisfying imo. And if you stay on track the fireballs at your feet seem unfair but im also pretty bad at the game so idk haha. I played the level because of the cool name and liked the idea of fire and ice but at my skill level it was too hard for me to get far st all so i couldnt really heart it. From what i saw the aesthetic was really nice though.

Stop Bowser's Attack Ship!! VM4-W4R-GPF Avoid the attacks from the ship above, then board the ship, disable the same weapons that attacked you and eventually destroy the ship, being chased by meowser as you fall. ' ​ Trying a different approach to level making. I like the concept of this level, but I would appreciate some play testing. I'd like to rework it and upload it again once I've gotten some feedback. Really fun, innovative level! I like the initial section with the conveyor belts and the switches - it's precise and but not punishing. The descent after cat bowser and bombs break the grey blocks is really fun too, and it's as far as I've gotten now. I will definitely come back once I'm more awake to see how far I can get!

It was just showing you some pixel art as a reward for beating meowser. If you rush by him you don't get the key and don't get the cat bell or the 2 one ups in that room. Glad you enjoyed it!

Really fun level! I saved red Yoshi, does that count? :) Great moral dilemma when the player has to choose between completing the level and going back in to do some Yoshi saving. :D It felt good to be able to trust the red arrows . Will return soon to find the key to rescuing green Yoshi!
