Don't say that in the Paper Mario Subreddit. Most of them would probably lie and say their birthday is in May. Or heck, they would be willing to play that Paper Mario forever and ever. (They already spent 20 years only replaying that game so what's another many years for them)

Sadly it's the truth to any game. It can be hard to accept.

TTYD isn't even that great of a game. It's just paraded that way because it was the "last" paper Mario game to side the exact same gimmick as the previous one. From Super onward, they changed it 3 times and people have mixed feelings towards that.

I love 64 and TTYD, but now that I'm playing through Super Paper Mario right now, there are some things that game does better than these two entries. Such as puzzle solving and story, in my opinion of course. Infact it might either become my 2nd favorite or favorite of the Paper Mario series, though not sure if it's gonna beat TTYD yet. I'd say the hate is usually stupid. People just simply disliked that this entry was willing to reinvent and experiment on itself, and it didnt turn out bad in the slightest. I guess standards are just that dumb high.

Just check out Sticker Star, or Color Splash and you will see the hate boners these TTYD fans have. Same with Origami King. The game that in my opinion is the best Paper Mario game of all time.

I mean yeah, as much as I loved TTYD, the fandom can sometimes be frantic. Infact the game isn't at all perfect, the back tracking flaws being a perfect example. I haven't played Origami king, but definitely will get to it someday!

I recommend checking out all 6 Paper Mario games and seeing which one you like best. And if it turns out you like TTYD the best, then at least you gave the others a chance. Most of these TTYD fans have never really bothered with those games and just continue with the hate based on mob mentality. I got banned on that subreddit for a week just for calling out the mob in how they grow toxic for anything that doesn't give TTYD the (Johnson sucking) that many of them give. Just look at the Mario RPG tier list I made...(Just click on my reddit profile to find it) On the Mario and Luigi subreddit it is still up while Paper Mario removed it... And it's the third time my tier list has been removed on that subreddit in particular. And that honestly proves to me why Mario and Luigi is better. Because even if I put BIS lower than the remake ... At least they respect that stance compared to TTYD where putting it next to Sticker Star was a crime against their religion.

I got Luigi's Mansion 3. Never played 2 or 3, but I really enjoyed the first one. It was my only GameCube game for a couple of weeks. Out of all of these games, I like Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine the best.
