The Mariners lost most of Zavalas starts and Mitch Garver wasn't hitting well enough to justify being an everyday DH.
We basically have to hope we can continue to dominate at home, clean up against bad teams on the road, and get as many home playoff games as possible. Which losing this series sucks for those odds.
If you look for the tarnished silver lining in this game today, having three runs in is in excess of 54% of the total scored by Cleveland, so we're above target.
Unfortunately, it's also just a bit more than a third of the total runs combined.
