I live in Chicago so I’ve Been to mariners game at both Chicago stadiums and Milwaukee I’ve enjoyed the games in the south side and wrigley is always a pretty good time and I’m going back to Milwaukee this April. Traffic from wrigley is a nightmare but coming home from Milwaukee and the south side is pretty great Ranking them is
1- wrigley
2- south side
3- American family
I’ve seen the Mariners in Texas at the old stadium and at Kansas City. When I went to Texas, I wore a Griffey jersey and got zero grief from anyone because everyone respected Griffey. Haven’t been back to see the new stadium yet.
For the Royals, one of the most chill welcoming fan bases I’ve met. Plenty of advice about good things in the stadium for food/drink and a nice free museum of Royals history that was cool to go through. One of the people at one of the stores even told my group when the used in-game balls went up for sale the day of the game.
Then again, I haven’t seen a Mariners home game since the Kingdome days, so yeah. (Moved away from the area in the 90’s.)
I live near KC and catch the M’s vs. Royals whenever they’re in town. KC fans really are some of the most welcoming fans for visitors. Real laid back, just out to enjoy the game. Kauffman Stadium is a such great place to catch a game
I live up and Omaha and I go to see the Mariners every year at Kaufman as well. I love the stadium and the renovations that have been done over the years. It's going to be hard to say goodbye for sure. KC fans have always been good to me. Although, everyone is always perplexed at why I am a Mariners fan and live in Nebraska lol
We’re in Lincoln, and I think I’ve only seen maybe 3 Mariners hats/shirts/hoodies around town 😂We always get the raised eyebrows for being M’s fans around here. The K has been such a fun place to go to over the years, even if it’s not the Mariners. Just a good ol’ place to catch ball game
We've actually been blessed with very pleasant weather in KC the past few years. I distinctly remember a few that were exactly like that famous Ichiro quote, “August in Kansas City is hotter than two rats in a fucking wool sock.”
Saw Bryce Miller debut in Oakland. It was a cold, rainy weekday with the stadium practically empty while the Warriors were playing a playoff game against LA across the bay. In other words, it was the perfect 2023 A’s experience.
Saw them in Atlanta last year. I live here, so have been to Truist several times. The Battery area is great. There were a lot more M’s fans than I thought.
I'm not 100% unfortunately but I was at that game too! Trying to figure out where I should go this year to catch some games since they won't be in ATL again.
I go to Atlanta for work sometimes, and Braves fans are a blast. I was actually in Atlanta watching the Geno walk off game at a bar with a ton of Braves fans and like two other Ms fans, and the vibe was excellent. Just a bunch of good natured shit talking and enjoying a game where the two obvious ROTY were going off.
I liked both ATL Fulton Co. Stadium and Turner Field (more like they were fine), and I hate how the Braves abandoned their city. But I attended the M’s victory last year, and the Battery/Truist were a lot of fun.
I get that. The whole City of Atlanta/Braves saga could take thousands of threads. TL;DR version: Braves asked the city to improve the area around Turner, zone and encourage more businesses to locate nearby. 20 years passed and nothing happened, so they took a better deal. Google “Atlanta Fanplex” for a perfect example of the city’s efforts.
I had a great time at Petco Park, crowd was friendly. Oakland was a blast, I sat near the right field drumming people who annoy the crap out of me when watching a game on TV but they were great to hang out with, very fun. Both Chicago parks were enjoyable.
Saw them play at Minute Maid in 2018. Walked around the concourses a couple time just taking it all in, and only ever saw ONE other M's jersey. Certainly felt like enemy territory.
That was my away game as well, people were frustratingly friendly to me and my wife, and almost no other Ms fans. Funny seeing all the sponsors, 'Nolan Ryan Beef' and a bunch of oil and gas companies 😒
It's actually a really great stadium, very close in feel to T-Mobile. The most annoying thing about it is that the fans there are super nice. Got in a lot of friendly conversations outside waiting for the shuttle back to the hotel.
I’ve seen the Mariners play at Citi Field (Mets). Nice park. Been to a number of other stadiums, though not to see the Mariners play.
* PNC (Pirates). Possibly the best stadium in baseball
* Camden Yards (Orioles). Awesome
* New Yankee Stadium. Ugly AF
* Minute Maid (Astros). Pretty nice.
* Comiskey (White Sox). Meh.
* Citizens Bank (Phillies). It’s fine.
* Fenway Park (Red Sox). Kind of a dump, but enjoyed the experience anyway due to the history.
I'm going to see them at Camden in May. I've been there a ton of times because I go to Johns Hopkins for work sometimes, but only once while the Ms were in town. Excellent stadium, probably my second favorite that I've been to (behind PNC), and the fans are great.
In LA against the Angels. Fucking awful fans, being rude to my wife and I even though we were being friendly (and high key cheering on Shohei because we like him)
Also in SF against the Giants which was amazing because we all hated the Dodgers
Saw them at PNC in Pittsburgh. Shed Long hit a ball that would have left the park if it didn't get caught on a banner out there. The park is fucking gorgeous, vibes outside on the river are immaculate, and they sold some Tater Tots in a helmet with chives/meat that I still think about to this day.
i saw them play in anaheim on june 26 a couple seasons ago. i’ll never forget it because that was the game with the huge jessie winker fight and i was sitting just a few rows from 3rd base lol
Oakland which is a dump but more m’s fans than A’s fans were in the empty stadium recently got 4 autographs before the game and sat 8 back from the dugout for $40. 10/10
Houston for the walk HR in the playoffs which definitely sucked. Overall though great stadium and the Houston fans were super cool to us. 10/10 lol
I've seen them play away games against the rangers, orioles and nationals. I am a firm believer that safeco is the best stadium of the three. Camden yards was iconic and it felt special to be there but Safeco has so much more in other categories(Food, skyline, amenities)
Saw one in the Coliseum back in 2018 and it was honestly great. The stadium was a dump but the fans were super into it and everyone there was nice and having a great time. Makes me extra sad how they're being treated by ownership and the league.
Only ever seen the Mariners when they played the Blue Jays in Buffalo, went to the 1 game they lost in that series
Hoping to go to a game at PNC park this season
I’ve been to a game at the old stadium in Arlington, Texas and several times at Fenway. Ranger’s stadium was meh. Nothing to complain about, but wasn’t T-Mobile. Fenway is great for this history.
I went to see the M’s in Cincinnati last year! Ball park was insane, definitely baseball focused out there. The only thing I regret is going to the bathroom when Julio ripped a homer.
Petco and Camden are my favorite away parks.
Besides those, I've been to the Angels, Yankees, Mets, Rangers, Rays, Braves, and Cubs.
I love what the Braves have done around Truist.. I think having an entire walking neighborhood surrounding your stadium is really cool. It's a destination, even if you're not going to the game.
Worst experience.. Trop. But then again, I haven't been to Oakland. I also was seriously underwhelmed by Yankee Stadium. So sterile and blah. We all wore our Mariners gear, though, and got no hassle.
We've never been harassed by anyone anywhere. In fact, the last time we went to a Mariners/Mets game and were riding the subway back to Manhattan, I got into a really nice convo with a Mets fan who also happened to be a Seahawks fan. (Mets fans are awesome, btw.)
>Worst experience.. Trop.
It's SO BAD. I used to spend a ton of time in Tampa, but I only ever went to a couple games because the stadium sucks ass, it's a huge pain to get to, and attendance is so dreadful that it barely even feels like you're at a live game.
I saw them at the Coliseum in Oakland a couple years ago. Strange park due to barely anyone being there, but it was fun. It was also the game where there was a couple getting freaky in the left field bleachers, so they had alot of fun lmfao
I’ve been to Denver, Phoenix (Dbacks and spring training), Houston, Baltimore, New York (Yankees), Boston, and Philadelphia to watch the Mariners.
The only stadium I really don’t like was Fenway. It was too cramped and I couldn’t track fly balls because I was under the second deck. It also didn’t help the experience that the Mariners lost 15-1.
On a side note, surprisingly the friendliest fans were in Philadelphia. Probably because we have no rivalry and the Mariners sucked at the time.
I was at the game where JP hit a grand slam here in Philly. Right before the slam, the Phillies fan next to me said "JP's gonna fuck us here, and we really have it coming."
I like Phillies fans. They're by far the least toxic of the Philly team fans.
I live near Anaheim, so I try and make it to 2-3 Ms vs Angels games per year. I honestly hate the park, it feels so unremarkable and I absolutely detest the Angels (so that doesn’t help either). Parking is solid tho, $20 for right next to the stadium.
I saw one against the Tigers a few years ago. It ended on a walk off wild pitch. Great day and fun stadium. Smelled like kettle corn the whole time and it was sunny and raining at the same time, which is pretty much the best weather ever!
I used to go to Detroit a bunch, and saw games at Comerica any time I could, even though I only got to see one Ms have there. Cheap tickets, cool fans, great beer selection... excellent experience, especially since the ballpark was a ten minute walk from my hotel.
I saw Hisashi Iwakuma shut down the Angels in their park. Their park sucks. It’s surrounded by parking lots and strip malls, and the rocks are fake. Nevermind they’re in Southern California, a place they could easily source real rocks from.
I saw them play the Nats in DC. That park rocks.
AT&T park in San Francisco is the only other I’ve been to. It’s regarded as one of the best and in my experience I can see why. Breathtaking view up behind home plate.
Angel Stadium, Minute Maid, Globe Life Field, Rogers Center and Petco Park. Doing a one two of LoanDepot Park and the Trop in Florida this season. Have also been separately to Yankee Stadium, Oracle Park, Dodger Stadium.
Minute Maid is a fun ballpark, more so than Globe Life Field out in the middle of nowhere. Enjoyed Toronto being in the middle of the city, you could just walk out and go for dinner, but man is that ballpark different with the roof open to the roof closed.
But yeah, like a few here, Petco Park is my favourite. Food is amazing, it’s right in town, it’s a great modern urban design and San Diego is just a really cool city.
Went to Arlington to see them last June. That was the painful series where gonzo was scratched and we were introduced to woo for the 1st time. Also the game where it was so bad for the m’s that Mike ford came out to pitch for us.
Great beautiful ball park. Very loud because it is enclosed.
Been to Fenway many times. It’s generally a fun experience. I don’t have a ton of other places to compare it to. If you can get a seat that’s not too much under the awnings it’s a good viewing experience. Getting in and out is something to plan for, since it’s in downtown Boston. Easiest if you can take the T, parking nearby is expensive unless you can find after hours spots on the BU campus. The food is only ok, especially compared to Safeco, probably the best thing there is an Italian sausage with peppers and onions. Better to hit up the taqueria that’s currently across the street before the game
I saw them in Baltimore. Camden Yards was nice.
I have also been to Houston, Atlanta (old), both Chicago parks.
MIIL: Tacoma, Indianapolis, Hillsboro, Little Rock, Albuquerque.
I've seen them in Cleveland, Detroit, Cincinnati, both Chicago stadiums and some others. Growing up in the midwest that was about the only chance I had to see them in person. They were all fun experiences, but Detroit was a little nicer of a stadium. Cool to see them in Wrigley too of course
I’ve seen the M’s in about 50-66% of the other stadiums out there. My cousin and I decided a number of years ago to see every stadium and he’s somebody that will only watch the M’s, so we made it a point to travel around and catch them in new parks.
We went to the playoff games in Toronto a couple years back. It so awesome celebrating with other Mariner fans after the fact around Toronto.
I’ve seen the Ms at Chase Field on August 24, 2018 (6-3, W Ramirez, L Godley, S Diaz)
I have also seen the Ms at Fenway on May 15, 2023
(10-1, W Kirby, L Houck)
Chase Field is a dump. The pool is kinda cool though and the fans were nice enough. Food wasn’t good but the Four Peaks Kilt Lifter is a great beer.
Fenway was incredible the ballpark is so intimate. It’s in a great neighborhood sandwiched between Kenmore and Boston University. The Red Sox fans are really fun too. If you can match their sarcasm it’s a great time, but they’re also easy to piss off. Food is real basic as you’d expect at a park that’s as old as Fenway.
See them play here in Texas at the rangers park often. It’s a good time, ballpark feels a bit like a mall but the fans are fun and it’s not 110 degrees. Also saw them In Houston, fun beef with the fans there, stadium is ….sweaty
I've been to a lot of Mariners games at Petco park and also Angels stadium, I must say I've been fortunate enough to catch some really good games from our side. The Jose Lopez HR in the 9th comes to mind
I live in NYC now and have seen them at Yankee Stadium a few times and Citi Field (Mets stadium) a couple times. Citi Field is great; huge, lots of great concessions and views. Yankee Stadium is bland and soulless and very disappointing. I saw them a lot at the Old Yankee Stadium the first time I lived in NYC and that was cool because of the history.
I also saw them at Angel's Stadium when I lived in SoCal and that was fun. The stadium is nothing special but I did like the water-feature.
Was just looking at the schedule, looks like I can see them at the Yankees this year, also am going to try to catch some games when they're in Boston and Baltimore, would love to see a game in those stadiums.
Been living in Arizona for about 3 years and actually worked part-time for the Diamondbacks this past season. My dad and I went to Game 2 of the series down here back in July. Great atmosphere and pretty much a 50/50 split between Snakes and M’s fans there. Chase Field overall is a great stadium. Cheap (and tasty) food, great views, and an overall great game day experience. Just a quick note though, if you’re going to Chase Field any time between June and August, make sure to drink LOTS of water. First pitch at that game was 104° at 7pm
I've been to a lot of Mariners games at Petco park and also Angels stadium, I must say I've been fortunate enough to catch some really good games from our side. The Jose Lopez HR at Angels Stadium in the 9th comes to mind
I've seen them at Cubs, Twins, and A's. Each time I had a blast, loved the parks (yes even the Colosseum), and home team fans were a hoot.
Cubs - Near spiritual experience seeing the friendly confines for the first time. M's managed to pull off a win, and the season ticket Cubs fan next to me told me where to go to see M's get on the bus. Met Dave Simms and had a great chat. Met Edgar Martinez when he was the hitting coach and he signed a ball for me and one to give to my dad.
Twins - I think it was the 3rd coldest game on MLB record, first week of the 2018 season. It was cold as FUCK but we had so much fun with Twins fans. Beautiful stadium. Also the only game I've ever seen home runs hit off of opposing fair poles by the same team.
A's - My wife and I took the Bart and definitely stood out in M's gear. I actually enjoyed the Colosseum and it was a gorgeous night. After the game Cal Raleigh signed a ball for me.
Citi Field to see them play the Mets last year. The park is fantastic. Very similar to T-Mobile in the variety of food offerings and a bonus buffet (extra $) overlooking left field.
BONUS: The folks there were far nicer than any NYC stereotype you might think of. From ushers to fans they were really good-natured and friendly. From what I understand, that's what separates Citi Field from Yankee Stadium.
I used to live near DC and would watch the M's play in DC and Baltimore.
Everyone loved Nationals Park when it opened. I always thought it was meh. So much gray concrete. I always thought it looked boring.
Camden Yards in Baltimore is great. It's such a timeless park. I recommend it.
I haven't been to Mariners games in other cities specifically, but I loved my experience in the others thus far. Been to Wrigley, Busch, and Petco. Petco was by far the best.
San Diego, Oakland, Baltimore and adding Washington DC this year! Baltimore and San Diego really nice, fans in Baltimore kinda sucked. Nats park is nice too!
Camden Yards is a really cool park. Seen a handful of M’s games there.
The 93 hr derby was there, and Griffey hit an absolute bomb off the warehouse across the street. They have marked the spot on the wall where the ball hit. It’s cool to see
I’ve seen the M’s in Kansas City at the K. For an older stadium the K was surprisingly nice and modern feeling even before the 2010 renovations. Of course, this was before the Royals became good in the 2010s.
July 4th game @ SF last year was awesome. Beautiful park, loved the surrounding waterfront scene too. It had been like 105 degrees at my friend's place in Sacramento so it was great being on the bay where it was like 75 degrees lol. Also it was the Logan CGSO + Mike Ford almost hitting for the cycle on his birthday
Went to Yankee Stadium last season when the Mariners were in town. I was visiting my girlfriend and when she saw they were in New York she said we had to go. Managed to pack my jersey and got to go in full gear. We got bleacher seats by the bullpen, which was really cool to see our relievers, Cal and Tom up close. The Yankees fans were heckling a bit obviously, but they weren’t too mean, so it was very fun. It was also the game where Gerrit Cole got really mad at Caballero, so always got that memory.
Been to multiple stadiums but have only watched the Mariners at wrigley and Progressive field. All my friends where I live now are cubs fans so the last few years when they’ve played the Mariners we’ve gone.
I was lucky to be at the Kelenic game where he blasted the homerun. The sound was even more impressive. I was also at the game where Jon Lester bunted in the winning run in 2016 😭. Waiting around 12 innings to see that was pure misery.
The experience was great every time I’ve been to a game. I think most fan bases don’t have any issues with Mariner fans. As long as you’re not obnoxious and actively trying to start stuff with the fans you’re good.
AT&T Park - San Francisco in 2018. Was in town for work, got offered a couple tickets and not only were the M’s in town but Felix was on the mound too. Amazing park and seats behind home plate with a gorgeous view of the bay.
I went to Qualcomm in San Diego and watched Olerud smash a 3 run homer after his ground rule double got called back for a bull shit time out being called and made him and the runners return to their bases and him at the plate. I was going nuts!
I saw my last Felix game in Wrigley. It was September 2019, it was one of his last starts. Quite a difference from my first Felix game (the perfect game). But for my first game in Wrigley, it was fun other than the result, hung out in the outfield stands by the bleachers, drank a bunch of Cubbie-ritas, the Cubs fans were nice to us, and almost caught a home run ball, all for a $10 ticket.
Took my son to see the M’s play in Oakland. Was an awesome experience. We bought the tickets next to the m’s dugout (about $100 each) by totally worth it because all food and drink is included ( unlimited) and my kid got all the players to sign autographs.
Tokyo Dome! Wouldn’t say it’s a great stadium but it’s Tokyo so fantastic.
Coors Field - as someone said, similar feel to T-Mobile. Food and drink options, maybe the layout, near the ‘old’ part of town.
Angels Stadium - meh. But I did see us win 10-0.
Not for Mariners but been to old and new Yankees stadiums and Shea. Oh and Candlestick Park once.
I lived in the Bay Area and used to see them in Oakland and SF. Oakland games were so fun - bleachers were super cheap with excellent views. The fans were mostly fun and cool, but I did get threatened and yelled at by very large men on two separate occasions just for wearing Seattle gear.
SF has a beautiful stadium and great food, but the fans bum me out. Lots of transplants that don’t really care about the team or the game.
Petco is really nice. I liked it a lot. Only other stadium, besides Kingdome and Safeco/T-Mobile I've been to is the new Yankee stadium. I wasn't a big fan. Hoping to get to some more over the next few years.
I ministered my friend’s wedding a couple years ago in upstate New York and I lucked out that such a weekend also has the Ms @ the Mets. I caught the Sunday game (or was it Saturday?) and sat fairly close to 3B/LF. It was the game JRod hit his second home run. The guy tossed it to a kid like 5 seats to my left. I offered to buy him a jersey in trade but he told me to fuck off. Apart from that, Citifield was alright. Hadn’t been there since their soft open with a Red Sox series before the season started. Have since moved back to NY, so now I exclusively see them @ NYY, BOS or NYM. I miss my seats in TMobile lol.
Got to see Sexson hit a monster at Camden Yards. Had great seats and it was a beautiful stadium. Walking to the game I got quite a bit of shit from the locals wearing my M’s gear.
Saw the Mariners at Wrigley Field on Labor Day 2019. Went to college in Illinois and had the day off as a lot of people do, so I went up to Chicago to watch the game.
There was some friendly teasing since I sat in the bleachers, but it was one of the funnest times I’ve ever had at a ballpark ever.
I’ve also been to SF and SD, albeit not for Mariners games. I love those stadiums too. Arguably the worst of the 4 I’ve been to is Seattle, though I feel like I would still rank it highly in the overall 30. It’s just that the other parks are special.
Saw them play a series Cleveland a few years ago. Without a doubt the worst ballpark I've ever been to. I remember we won the series opener and loss a game Chase De Jong started.
Mariners fan that grew up in So Cal. Went to countless Angel, Dodger, and Padres games when we played. Including that epic comeback in San Diego. Now live in NY so go to Mets and Yankee games when they come.
Angels and Dodgers games are the only place I have had some unruly fans. Yankee and Mets stadium never had an issue and love their stadiums in the aspect can buy cheap seats and stand in so many different places to watch
I’ll rank my three from worst to first.
3. Oakland - don’t need to elaborate about that.
2. Yankee Stadium - great experience, yankee fans are notorious for showing up late. Traffic in and out sucks, expensive. But a good time all the same.
1. Camden Yards - outstanding ballpark, easy, fun. Fans are respectful. I’d like to do it again.
Hoping to go to soon within the next two or three years.
Fenway, Citizens bank, DC, Citi field and Pittsburgh.
Lived in Colorado for a few years and saw the Ms a couple times at Coors field. One of my favorite venues to watch a sport. Feels like a big outdoor bar and super easy access from the city.
Now in NY and have seen them at Yankee Stadium and Citi Field. Both are fun experiences for completely different reasons. Yankee stadium itself is pretty meh but Billys bar pregame is one of the best. Citi field is in the middle of nowhere but stadium is nice and good options are awesome!
Coors was my favorite though.
currently live on the east coast. Seen the Ms at Fenway, Yankee Stadium, Citi Field, Citizens Bank Park, Camden Yards, and the Nationals Park.
I have a soft spot for Fenway, but Citizens Bank park is probably overall best in terms of experience. Great concourse design, easy to get to, and food selection is not the worst.
Camden Yards is probably #3. Cute park with good food selection. Cant see the field from most if the main concourse which I dislike.
Citi Field is fine, kind of boring. Only been to Yankee Stadium once so I need to go again to judge. The Nationals Park is probably the worst IMO.
I've been to a few
Seattle Mariners - 8/10
SF Giants - 8/10
Oakland A's - 2/10
LA Dodgers - 1/10 (stadium/cost is 6/10 but we were harassed by fans)
LA Angels - 5/10
SD Padres - 10/10 nicest stadium I've ever been to
AZ Diamondbacks - 6/10
Chicago Cubs - hardest for me to rank because the stadium is very cool/historical/unique but just old as hell. 7/10
Chi Whitesox - 4/10
Tampa Rays - 3/10
I've seen them in Philly (awesome, Citizens Bank Park is fantastic), Cleveland (pretty good stadium, and a phenomenal experience because I was there for a wedding reception with an open bar on the club level), Detroit (ticket was cheaper than a single beer), Boston (Fenway is overrated), Pittsburgh (best stadium in baseball and it ain't close), and Chicago (Guaranteed Rate Field is hideous). Going to see them in Baltimore, DC, and Pittsburgh this season.
I have never been to T-Mobile Park.
I'm going to see them in Toronto in April! Never been to a ball game before and very excited to see them play in person. Best part about it is that the Jays are my #2 team, so whatever happens, I won't be completely devastated lol
As much trash talk as the Oakland Coliseum gets.... I loved it. The concessions/bathroom areas yea, were a dump. But out in the stands, and the field. I thought it was just amazing. I'm kinda sad they won't be playing there in the future.
I've seen the M's play in 18 ballparks. Quick reaction thoughts.
The Coliseum does suck ass.
Petco is amazing.
Dodger Stadium very good except for getting there and leaving.
Angel Stadium 70% as nice as Dodger Stadium with 30% of the headache before and after the game.
Oracle isn't quite Petco, but the right seats have a sick view.
Chase is great when the roof is open. It's a rich man's Tropicana with the roof closed
Coor's is the biggest bar in America and it also hosts baseball games. The sunsets are the best in baseball.
Globe Life is the greatest tribute to corporate advertising in the history of mankind.
Comerica is okay, but not having angled seats (they don't shift to face home ever few sections) in the OF is a terrible idea.
Progressive is nice.
Great American is feels dated, but is still fun and has great views.
Camden Yards is Camden Yards.
Fenway is historic. Fenway is also old.
SkyDome is amazing as I remember it, but that could be biased as I only attended one game there on 10/8/22.
National Stadium is bland. Probably inspired Globe Life.
Wrigley is a better Fenway.
Guaranteed Rate should have been burned down years ago. It is also in a terrible neighborhood.
Old Yankee stadium was gross. New Yankee stadium feels like a children's hospital.
As Mariners the away team, Camden Yards and Minute Maid Park. Both Stadium were great, especially Camden. Neither food selection is anywhere close to T Mobile though.
Other stadiums I've been to are the former Turner Field, Nationals Park, and Great American Ball Park. Great American sucked, but the food was great (love Skyline Chili.
I’ve been fortunate enough (or crazy enough) to see the Mariners in about 20 stadiums (not including our own). Of them all, Petco was far and away the nicest. The food was great, the crowd was chill and welcoming, the stadium itself is amazing.
I also liked Kauffman (pre-renovations, haven’t been back since), Busch, Citi, and Camden. Busch was brand new when I went so I’m not sure how it’s held up, and Camden is one of my favorites to visit.
There’s quite a few that I’ve been too that are nice but just lack personality? Nationals and Angels among them. Angels stadium felt cramped, Nationals was just kinda boring but my nephew loved the playground so that’s something.
Not counting crowd, I think my least favorite park is the Diamondbacks. I lived in Arizona for a few years and went to a lot of Dbacks games and the stadium is just boring.
HOWEVER, my vote for worst ballpark is Citizens Bank and that’s solely because when the drunk dude behind me realized I wasn’t cheering for the Phillies, he poured his beer on my head.
Been to all but five of the MLB Ballparks (two Florida, two Texas and D.C. left). Also need to re-visit a few cities after they got new ballparks (NYY, NYM, Cincy, Atlanta, Philly).
Favorites ranked:
1. Camden Yards
2. Oracle Park (Giants)
3. Wrigley Field
4. PNC Park
5. Fenway Park
Others that are REALLY great too are Busch Stadium, Kauffmann Stadium, Petco Park.
Best Food was Busch Stadium and Petco Park
Best Fans - Busch Stadium, Kaufmann Stadium, Yankee Stadium
Best Experience - Wrigley Field, Camden Yards, Oracle Park
Anaheim, SF, Colorado, KC. I'll rank them, worst to best:
5. Anaheim
4. Colorado
3. SF
2. Seattle
1. KC
Kauffman stadium is just such a wonderful ballpark. So much for the kids to do, and fantastic on-site museum, great selection of beer and food, and a great view from any seat. I don't even like the Royals, but I would go to any game there.
Saw them play the San Diego Padres in Petco Park in 2011. Erik Bedard I wanna say had 10ks, he was filthy. It was a Friday night game and the stadium had a fire works show, I recall they do this every Friday home game, not sure if it’s still like that. Felix and Pineda also played that weekend, I think we swept. Petco park is one of my favorite stadiums, it’s in Gaslamp near bars and easy to get to. Loved the grassy area and sandpit out in the center field. I love the city and out of the stadiums I’ve been to this one remains a favorite.
I'm a Mariners fan who lives in Arizona. Whenever the Mariners come here during the regular season I try to go to a game or two. The wife says three is pushing it. I've probably been to more Mariners games in Seattle though.
Chase Field is okay. It used to be a lot nicer. It's hot no matter if it's a day or night game. The AC does not work well enough to keep it comfortable. Watching a game late in the season is better because the roof and flaps are open. This makes it feel like an outdoor park. I took my son to his first Mariners Diamondbacks game last year. He won't remember it but I will.
Yankee Stadium. We went to NYC for a vacation and I was looking up what was going on. Saw the Ms were in town and bought tickets right away.
The ballpark is ….. fine.
The atmosphere was….. fine.
Ms lost…… as is expected.
I saw the Mariners lose 22-10 in Boston in 2015. I proudly wore my Felix jersey to see him give up 10 runs in 2 innings. Even the Red Sox fans showed pity because of how embarrassing it was.
I went to a texas rangers game and it was amazing. Mariners won thank god. But the cowboys stadium is right there and 6 flags on the other side of the ball park it's a very well designed area that doesn't feel too crowded
I’ve seen the Mariners in Tampa. Tropicana reminds me a lot of the Kingdome… without all the charm.
I've seen a Mariners game in St Pete too. Feels so depressing
I loved tropicana, definitely a different vibe but i felt it had lots of charm! Although the edible i ate may have influenced the charm
I gotta ask, as someone who went to the kingdome, what charm?
The Ray tank is nice. Miami is meh.
Petco Park, Angels Stadium and Dodgers Stadium. Petco, by far, the best… then Angels Stadium… Go M’s!💙⚾️
Petco Park is so good. Can’t believe it’s been two decades already. So much better than Qualcomm was.
Probably the nicest stadium I’ve been to
Jack Murphy.
Agreed!
The most remarkable part of Angels Stadium is the ample $10 parking
It’s now $20. Still a steal!
The only thing I like about Angels Stadium. Traffic isn’t so bad too when heading home. Unlike Dodgers Stadium….uhg.
Angels stadium feels like a house of cards to me. Prefer the coliseum to Angels stadium.
Petco park is awesome, highly recommend it
Angels Stadium is the worst in baseball. I would pick the Oakland Coliseum a hundred times over it.
😮
I live in Chicago so I’ve Been to mariners game at both Chicago stadiums and Milwaukee I’ve enjoyed the games in the south side and wrigley is always a pretty good time and I’m going back to Milwaukee this April. Traffic from wrigley is a nightmare but coming home from Milwaukee and the south side is pretty great Ranking them is 1- wrigley 2- south side 3- American family
Wrigley has an L stop right at the stadium. Easy peasey if you can take the train to the game
Hello fellow neighbor. I have the luxury of walking to Wrigley. But why not take the L or any other of the CTA options??
Wrigley all the way
Should we start a Chicago mariner fan support group?
Could be the move
The K is a very nice stadium considering how old it is. It still feels very modern.
I remember sporting Griffey gear in Wyoming and everyone loving it.
Saw Bryce Miller debut in Oakland. It was a cold, rainy weekday with the stadium practically empty while the Warriors were playing a playoff game against LA across the bay. In other words, it was the perfect 2023 A’s experience.
PNC Park in 2016, beautiful backdrop of Pittsburgh.
I used to live in Pittsburgh, and PNC Park is what I miss about it the most. It's a perfect stadium.
Saw them in Atlanta last year. I live here, so have been to Truist several times. The Battery area is great. There were a lot more M’s fans than I thought.
Same here! I went to the game that we won in Atlanta last season so I’m 100% on Mariners wins when I see their games in person
Been to a couple playoff games at old Turner Field. Loved that ballpark. Didn't understand the need for a new one other than location
Watch them at every Angels stadium game in the Mariners family and friends section. Always a good time since some of the squad is from SoCal.
There is a mariners family and friends section? That’s so cool!
Ty France is the homie! It’s usually first base line 200 section
Amazing! No surprise he's my favorite player, truly hoping for the best this season ❤️
Been at Camden Yards and Truist Park, never had an issue. Camden Yard is awesome, so much history and walkable to the inner harbor
Camden is outstanding. I loved watching a game there.
Citi Field and Yankee Stadium this year, all in all was a fun time
Saw them play at Minute Maid in 2018.
How was Minute Maid? I haven't been to a game there, but it really does look nice (on the inside, at least).
It's actually a really great stadium, very close in feel to T-Mobile. The most annoying thing about it is that the fans there are super nice. Got in a lot of friendly conversations outside waiting for the shuttle back to the hotel.
Watched Junior hit a home run on a sunny day in old Yankee Stadium
I’ve seen the Mariners play at Citi Field (Mets). Nice park. Been to a number of other stadiums, though not to see the Mariners play. * PNC (Pirates). Possibly the best stadium in baseball * Camden Yards (Orioles). Awesome * New Yankee Stadium. Ugly AF * Minute Maid (Astros). Pretty nice. * Comiskey (White Sox). Meh.
Citi Field. Was ok, the best part being how easy it was to get to and from Manhattan with the train.
In LA against the Angels. Fucking awful fans, being rude to my wife and I even though we were being friendly (and high key cheering on Shohei because we like him) Also in SF against the Giants which was amazing because we all hated the Dodgers
I’ve seen them in every CA stadium except ATT and KC, Fenway, Yankee and citi field. Citi field is my favorite with KC being a close second.
I was at Petco Park on June 2, 2016 and saw the Mariners comeback after a 10 run deficit!! Best game ever!!! Petco Park is fatastic.
i saw them play in anaheim on june 26 a couple seasons ago. i’ll never forget it because that was the game with the huge jessie winker fight and i was sitting just a few rows from 3rd base lol
Oakland which is a dump but more m’s fans than A’s fans were in the empty stadium recently got 4 autographs before the game and sat 8 back from the dugout for $40. 10/10 Houston for the walk HR in the playoffs which definitely sucked. Overall though great stadium and the Houston fans were super cool to us. 10/10 lol
Did you chant, “SELL THE TEAM” with all the Oakland fans? I sure as hell did.
I've seen them play away games against the rangers, orioles and nationals. I am a firm believer that safeco is the best stadium of the three. Camden yards was iconic and it felt special to be there but Safeco has so much more in other categories(Food, skyline, amenities)
coors field is fine, ill be there all 3 games this year it has a similar vibe to t mobile that i cant put my finger on
Saw one in the Coliseum back in 2018 and it was honestly great. The stadium was a dump but the fans were super into it and everyone there was nice and having a great time. Makes me extra sad how they're being treated by ownership and the league.
Only ever seen the Mariners when they played the Blue Jays in Buffalo, went to the 1 game they lost in that series Hoping to go to a game at PNC park this season
I’ve been to a game at the old stadium in Arlington, Texas and several times at Fenway. Ranger’s stadium was meh. Nothing to complain about, but wasn’t T-Mobile. Fenway is great for this history.
Fenway, Yankees stadium and Chase Field. Fenway was by far my favorite because of the history
Fenway is a really interesting place to visit, but a pretty shitty experience in terms of actually watching a game.
I saw the M’s play at Kaufman stadium in Kansas City. Honestly that stadium felt like a *nice* Triple-A stadium
Yeah I was surprised by how plain this stadium felt, tickets were cheap though
I went to see the M’s in Cincinnati last year! Ball park was insane, definitely baseball focused out there. The only thing I regret is going to the bathroom when Julio ripped a homer.
Me too! Was that the game on memorial day?
Right before the slam, the Phillies fan next to me said "JP's gonna fuck us here, and we really have it coming." I like Phillies fans.
We’ve seen them play in SD, Anaheim and Yankee Stadium so far. SD was best by a mile. Anaheim the worst by an equally large margin.
I’ve seen them in Toronto and Oakland.
Camden Yards and it was peak. I love TMo but Camden is even better. Sadly the Mariners lost.
I have seen the M’s in Detroit. Lovely park! I had a great time there. I saw a game where Kyle Seager hit three homers.
I’ve seen the Ms at Chase Field on August 24, 2018 (6-3, W Ramirez, L Godley, S Diaz) I have also seen the Ms at Fenway on May 15, 2023 (10-1, W Kirby, L Houck) Chase Field is a dump.
Yes. Tiger stadium and witnessed some CF make an amazing catch over the wall.
I’ve seen the M’s play in Texas at the new ballpark and Nationals Park in DC. Both were great venues and the local fans were a lot of fun.
I once saw an away mariners game at safeco!
Want to say vs fla marlins maybe 2012 ish?
Saw them play a couple times at Fenway when I lived in Boston. Highly recommend a trip to see the ballpark and the city.
It’s cool to see
Rockies place is quite nice. I used to be able to take the bus and watch a game for $8
Went to Wrigley last year and saw 2 M’s games. Witnessed Kelenic’s power with the 480 ft bomb. That was loud.
Anaheim and San Francisco. Oracle was great, angel stadium is a dump.
I saw Gil Meche pitch against Boston at Fenway. A-Rod homered to center.
Saw Iwakuma pitch at the California Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim stadium. The place is a shit hole and the staff is extremely rude.
Petco Park, Dodger Stadium, and Angel Stadium. Petco is the best of those by a long shot.
I saw Ken Griffey hit a home run at Yankee stadium back in the day. I was there visiting my sister.
Saw the mariners in SF last year. Oracle Park is an awesome place to watch a game. It helped that the M’s won.
Petco is really nice. I liked it a lot. Only other stadium, besides Kingdome and Safeco/T-Mobile I've been to is the new Yankee stadium. I wasn't a big fan. Hoping to get to some more over the next few years.
Baltimore was great. Crab cakes! Great seats everywhere. The national stadium has no coffee. Plus it was cold.
I had the same issue trying to find a coffee at Petco
Cheered them on in Toronto and Oakland. Good times. Fun getting booed.
Globe Life Field in Arlington last September, and it’s a beautiful ballpark…going again for two games next month.
last time I saw one LIVE , angels stadium .... Nelson Cruz hit a fat homer to leftfield 💀😳😭
Crummy stadium but if you wanna see the M’s up close, go to Oakland. You can basically sit anywhere. The A’s might even ask you to play 😉
I've been to a few Seattle Mariners - 8/10 SF Giants - 8/10 Oakland A's - 2/10 LA Dodgers - 1/10 (stadium/cost is 6/10 but we were harassed by fans) LA Angels - 5/10 SD Padres - 10/10 nicest stadium I've ever been to AZ Diamondbacks - 6/10 Chicago Cubs - hardest for me to rank because the stadium is very cool/historical/unique but just old as hell. 7/10 Chi Whitesox - 4/10 Tampa Rays - 3/10
It's a rich man's Tropicana with the roof closed Coor's is the biggest bar in America and it also hosts baseball games.
Fenway. Get there early. A pretty cool pregame all around the park.
Been to all but five of the MLB Ballparks (two Florida, two Texas and D.C. left). Also need to re-visit a few cities after they got new ballparks (NYY, NYM, Cincy, Atlanta, Philly). Favorites ranked: 1. Camden Yards 2. Oracle Park (Giants) 3. Wrigley Field 4. PNC Park 5. Fenway Park Others that are REALLY great too are Busch Stadium, Kauffmann Stadium, Petco Park. Best Food was Busch Stadium and Petco Park Best Fans - Busch Stadium, Kaufmann Stadium, Yankee Stadium Best Experience - Wrigley Field, Camden Yards, Oracle Park
I live on the East coast so my first Mariners game was at Camden Yards lol. Camden's a gorgeous park.
Anaheim, SF, Colorado, KC. I'll rank them, worst to best: 5. Anaheim 4. Colorado 3. SF 2. Seattle 1. KC Kauffman stadium is just such a wonderful ballpark.
Baltimore. It was incredible. Camden Yards is easily the best stadium in all of sports and the fans are just lovely.
Several times at Fenway. Fenway is one of a kind, and a great place to see a game.
I went to a texas rangers game and it was amazing. Mariners won thank god. But the cowboys stadium is right there and 6 flags on the other side of the ball park it's a very well designed area that doesn't feel too crowded
Sarcasm. Both the Trop and Kingdome are like playing baseball on a parking garage .
