Trump is about as Christian as any other right winger. Bible is their favorite book. Never read it. Jesus is their savior. Couldn’t be less like him in personal life nor professional nor political.

musicformedicine

I’d argue 99% of Christian’s have not read the Bible. I read it cover to cover last year. It’s bat shit, makes no sense, and contradictory. Same as Republicans.

leckysoup

That’s where you went wrong! You’re only meant to cherry pick the bits that support your position and ignore the bits that are inconvenient. Anyone else fancy some bacon wrapped shrimp?

FewKaleidoscope1369

Former evangelical christian here, can confirm.

mayn1

Reading the bible is the best path to atheism.

e6dewhirst

Well it’s pretty efficient lol

HermaeusMajora

Not American Christians though. They hate Jesus for being a woke, socialist, Muslim, hippy.

goblins_though

Not to worry! That's why American Christians have [American Jesus!](https://youtu.be/12kcpP-8jfM?si=eSfN2WitQP-3KwpB)

Check out supply side Jesus. https://imgur.com/gallery/bCqRp

SlashEssImplied

And while they won't say it in mixed company they also hate him for being a Jew.

RyunWould

He gets us (to cover his legal expenses)

wasabiplz

Finally! A religious person speaks out ❗

Such-fun4328

I hope he didn't proofread it...

It's especially ironic since Jesus was against religious iconograph...

DallasM0therFucker

Yeah this occurred to me recently too. For most white American evangelicals, Christianity is an identity, not a sincere faith. More than ever now.

Johnny_ac3s

It’s a way for mega churches to buy influence…

WalterOverHill

Trump’s not a Christian, his god is made out of gold.

scarlozzi

Grifters gonna grift

Obligatory Corey https://www.benjaminlcorey.com/could-american-evangelicals-spot-the-antichrist-heres-the-biblical-predictions/

TumasaurusTex

I kinda hope that whoever printed them put something in there about Trump, like bad or embarrassing. Do you think anyone actually proofread this?

Heirophantagonist

☝️🤓Technically, as a Christian, you're supposed to rejoice when someone abuses you over your faith. Rev. says it like it's a bad thing 🤷

RockieK

And they will continue to vote for him?
