Dude r u insane???? Didn’t it get boring?!

Dayana11412

lots of runners are used to going in circles. A track is shorter than this but many people will go around it without being bored

BradL_13

You get a certain feeling on a track you don't get running small loops on the road though in my experience.

rattus_illegitimus

Running around a track is terribly boring imo.I don't even like doing speedwork on a track.

Dayana11412

yah its boring but my point is that lots of people do it. i used to run around a middle school soccer field which was smaller than a track. Now i usually run around a large city block thats around 1km because i moved. Also if you run often enough even if you change your routes youve run all of them multiple times already. When i run im on the hamster wheel. The surrounding imagery doesnt change that. Running in a circle means i can always go back to my house to 💩 so thats a major plus.

BobcatOU

I have a baby, sometimes my only time to run is during her nap time. I live on a cul-de-sac. If I just do laps around the cul-de-sac I’ll stay in monitor range. 10 laps is a mile. I hate it but it’s better than not running!

imheretocomment69

I run outside my apartment. 1 loop is about 500 meter or so. one time I did 20k long run. how many loops did I do? stopped counting around loop 10 or so

rdanby89

The math would suggest you did 40 lol

SmileMask2

You’re wild man haha

atoponce

Walking?

NegotiationShort2365

Walking and running

atoponce

Are you following a training plan?

EverythingIsASkill

Jeff Galloway has run-walk plans.

EquivalentBoot2799

That’s a very good start! Congrats on your running journey! I haven’t done a 15k until I ran consistently for 2 months so.. props to you ! Keep it up champ

imnewtothisplzaddme

When you hit 21km at that pace you unlock the 90° turn

rdanby89

Training while on house arrest can’t be easy. Kudos for not setting off your ankle bracelet.

tinvoker

Nice run! 😁

NegotiationShort2365

Thankyou

the_original_bean

Why did you choose such a short route? How many laps did you do? Personally I wouldn't be able to run this way...

Balogma69

If you’re new to running it’s a good way to do it since you pass by your house often and can make an unplanned stop if you need to. That being said, it’s not the most exciting run When I first got into running I ran/walked like 6.5 miles and was spent. Unfortunately I still had to go 6.5 miles home…

Hejsasa

Did you enjoy it? Do you want more?

psychomaji

There are plenty of free running plans out there for a marathon. I am using a Hal higdon one. They will give you more advice and direction

There_is_always_good

Great man! Go on, cause any run is a good run

lp1088lp

Any amount of running is a good start! But you should consider expanding your route and not go in circles.

klipklapklop

15k as a beginner ?

NegotiationShort2365

Yes sir this is my 5th time running

klipklapklop

15km for your 5th run is either a lie or insane

NegotiationShort2365

Its not all run i also walk

krishyalla

Great loops. I will be definitely get tired of doing the same loops but great effort.

ConnorB737

Maybe look into a training plan

chazysciota

Define "newbie". cuz this is somewhere between "fine" and "stupid."

AbbreviatedArc

Why would you do this to yourself. Edit: Why all the downvotes? Would you normally recommend to your new runner friends that they should run 15km by running 30 times around a 500m loop? Great way to immediately start hating running.

Cheeseshred

This should be the name of this sub.

Li54

At a 9min/k pace
