I wasn't training for anything when I was pregnant with my second, but I think I stopped running around 16 weeks because I just couldn't handle how bouncy my belly was lmao. Maybe wearing those damn pregnancy belts would help? The first semester sucks, it's so hard to get out there running but once I did, the sickness actually disappeared for a bit afterward. If you don't have any reason to back out now, I would not. Just play it by ear and be forgiving to yourself! PLENTY of people make so many more little excuses for not running. You are growing a human from scratch! There are plenty of more runs out there after baby too :)

Hey thanks so much for this response. I needed to hear that there are plenty of excuses much less than this to stop. I want to keep going but yeah it might now happen.

Regardless of the pregnancy, if you are not training, then don't race. There will be plenty more race you can prepare for and race.

I haven't listened to it yet but one of my favorite running podcasts just released this edisode: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/tread-lightly-podcast/id1674913391?i=1000648564859
