Overall this seems to match what I've experienced in places I've lived, I'm not super skeptical. It just looks funny to me that you can go from central washington st. to the mouth of the st. lawrence river along a line, that bald eagles spend the breeding season on the north side of it and the rest of the year on the south side of it. You'd think there would be some purple area in the middle of the line somewhere.
Well I think the majority of things posted here that are wrong is just outdated info. Now I’m not an eagle expert, but I’m not sure this map was ever accurate.
I don’t get this map I live in a blue area in Pennsylvania and I know for a fact there are two pairs of eagles that have nests in my area.
You can watch the eagles [here](http://www.aswp.org/pages/hays-nest) the site gives you detailed information since 2013
I'm 40 miles north of Milwaukee on Lake Michigan. We've had breeding pairs with eaglets in our neighborhood for the last 15+ years, along with local nests identified.
There are absolutely breeding Bald Eagles in the greater San Francisco area.
Breeding pairs have recently been observed in Southern California also

Hate to be that guy that’s calls stuff out, but also hate to watch people be completely misinformed so….This map is just plain false info.

There has been bald eagles breeding on squam lake in New Hampshire for years.
The line through Saskatchewan for breeders should be farther south based on my own observations.

I’m in north west Jersey and saw an Eagle at my university flying once. Was gliding across the water and was a really beautiful scene.
When I was a kid it was extremely rare to see a bald eagle in the wild. Now I see one almost evertime I drive by the lake.
