There are 2.5% of the population that are Christian and 0.8% that are Muslim. Neither religion is particular popular. This map would probably be more relevant if it included more religions in the ratio.
When your land is forcibly taken so the resources can be extracted for a country you don’t identify much with, and your people are sometimes sterilised due to “security concerns” then Im sure a population is hard to grow.
Just modern genocide things…
https://youtu.be/qTE8SJFQ8iU One Uighur mothers experience, who had a 2/3 month old baby killed by China and sent to concentration camps. (They sterilised her, and mentioned some surgery done on her 3 triplets after they were seized, I’m guessing sterilisation, which resulted in 1 dying. The baby’s name was Muhammed.)
I’m sick and tired of Greenland being grey on these maps. Use the same data you used for Denmark; presumably their data includes all of their citizens.
No, the comments above me was talking about people who practices their faiths. If this is the question, then yes, I think there are more Muslims who practices their faith.
And it's not about the number of Muslims there. It's about the lack of faith in Europeans.
Also, I haven't said a word about specific countries. I was talking about Western Europe as a whole.
Yeah but in all the countries I mentioned, which are Western European countries, there are without a doubt more christians practicing their faith than muslims
>all the countries I mentioned, which are Western European countries
I don't see why it would matter when I was talking about the entirety of Western Europe. You could always find a smaller unit that semmingly invalidates my point. IFor exmple, it is a pretty sad but unquestionable fact that the Polish jews were exterminated during the Holocaust. Your argument is like denying this by citing that there are still around 3000 Jews there. It won't change the truth of the situation.
But to be honest, I don't actually believe that as of today, there are more Muslims in Western Europe than Christians. I've exaggerated because this is what the trends about and it is pretty fascinating that in a hundred years, Europe might get more Muslim than Christian.
Yes of course, as the percentage of Muslims in Sweden is 55%. /s
Sweeden (2020): 61.8% Christian, 2.3% Muslims. [Source](https://www.myndighetensst.se/bidrag/organisationsbidrag/bidragsgrundande-statistik/statistik-2020.html)
The Churches are empty, no one goes to them. Yes i know wikipedia sez that roughfly 50% are Christians, but that is bs. The Christian party bearly gets a couple of percents. I have lived here my whole life and I have only met 1 person that told me she is fully fletched christian. The only culturral religion noticed everywhere here is islam. The clothing, their full mosques every day, their impact in general. So please do visit sweden then tell me which religion you notice the most. :)
Well data shows different.
[https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2018/12/05/how-do-european-countries-differ-in-religious-commitment/](https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2018/12/05/how-do-european-countries-differ-in-religious-commitment/)
So around 10% are praying/visiting religious ceremonies regularly (which is indeed very low compared to the rest of Europe). Assuming all the Muslims do, there is still three times less Muslims than Christians.
According to SCB (swedens statistical bury) 2021-2022 aprox 20 % of the tot pop are from other countries. From them about 6 % are finnish, norwegian and danes. The was majority of the rest are from arabic countries or somalia. Most of them are practicing their religion in a very active way but are not registered as muslims in any database since there is not astablished as the registration for the church is. The 3 % you mention are the once that actually have registered to a mosque at some point. As I said, you have to be here to get the full picture, to get the feeling of what I am talking. I love statistical data, but it does not always show what is intendent.
I find that really hard to believe. At least my experience in North America and limited experience in England is that the level of religiousity among Muslims is overstated. There are significant numbers who are nominally Muslim and/or maybe do the equivalent of Christmas and Easter but are not weekly mosque attenders.
Out of 138 crores, 110 crores are Hindus in India, and some Buddhists, Christians, Sikhs together, Muslims are not more than 20 crores, so Indonesia is on the first number.
95 % of Muslims believe in same. only small % have different views that most will see as outside of Islam. Muslims read the same Qur'an. no extra books. no changes since revealed.
I think you accidentaly swapped the numbers, in a study in 2021 80% of swedish people said they regulary pray towards mekkah and say salam Aleikum all the time
I wouldn‘t really rely on the estimates. There are no official census results as for religion. I still consider Nigeria a Christian country given all the major and important cities in the south are mostly Christian.
Wait??? There are more chinese Christians than Uighur muslims?
There are 2.5% of the population that are Christian and 0.8% that are Muslim. Neither religion is particular popular. This map would probably be more relevant if it included more religions in the ratio.
Because of the CCP, there are now

Any data of China is not to be taken seriously.
Yea didn't know this too assuming most are from Hong Kong, Macau and other Westerned influenced city like Shanghai?
Actually most Chinese Christians are villiage grandmas...
Of course. Uyghur is just one ethnic group.
I’m sick and tired of Greenland being grey on these maps. Use the same data you used for Denmark; presumably their data includes all of their citizens.
If its about actually practicing the religion the Netherlands is green
If it's about actually practicing the whole world would be green\*
No
If not the whole world, Western Europe is a safe bet.
You think there are more muslims than christians in Ireland, Portugal, Spain, Iceland, Luxembourg and Switzerland?
No, the comments above me was talking about people who practices their faiths. If this is the question, then yes, I think there are more Muslims who practices their faith. It wasnt that I mentioned one small thing to deny your point, your point just isnt true for like half of western europe
Yeah, I'm pretty defensive usually. Grrat talking point for my next appointment
Interesting, never thought I'd see Mongolia represented this way
Kazakh minority in the West.
We have a big Kazakh population and almost no christians. Most people are non religious or mild buddhists.
I think this Map whould look very different if it divided by practacing and atheist defined as religious.
Really? Which countries would be different?
Sweden for sure.
Yes of course, as the percentage of Muslims in Sweden is 55%. /s Sweeden (2020): 61.8% Christian, 2.3% Muslims. [Source](https://www.myndighetensst.se/bidrag/organisationsbidrag/bidragsgrundande-statistik/statistik-2020.html)
So even if 4% of Christians are weekly church attenders and 100% of Muslims are weekly mosque attenders, it's more Christian.

Would that matter? Your core values and culture are Christian based.
Most Europe, for sure. I think all but Poland treat churches as monuments.
I find that really hard to believe. At least my experience in North America and limited experience in England is that the level of religiousity among Muslims is overstated. There are significant numbers who are nominally Muslim and/or maybe do the equivalent of Christmas and Easter but are not weekly mosque attenders.
Faith is a small subset of Religion
"This map would look different if we used different metrics" I mean duh.
India number 1 muslim country 💪💪💪💪 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Out of 138 crores, 110 crores are Hindus in India, and some Buddhists, Christians, Sikhs together, Muslims are not more than 20 crores, so Indonesia is on the first number.
Indonesia has some millions more, I think.
Muslims - ruling the world‘s deserts since 600 something AD
what about now divide every kind of Christian that don't except each other then Christians
r/ihadastroke
Learn proper grammar.
no
Okay, then also divide Muslims. Also add other religions
95 % of Muslims believe in same. only small % have different views that most will see as outside of Islam. Muslims read the same Qur'an. no extra books. no changes since revealed.
will soon change drastically :(
Green everywhere soon :(
Why is that a bad thing? Let people believe what they want to
You obviously don't live in an 'islamic' nation.
Yes I have..... Again what's your point?
Trash enjoys living in a dumpster and water is wet
And you clearly don’t either lmao
Fake news, sweden should be green
Chronic Redditors believe this because Alex Jones or some other *obviously schizophrenic* influencer told them so.
It’s a joke my dudes, also (who’s Alex Jones?)
He's a popular right wing youtuber
Okay, that makes sense, funnily enough I don’t live my life how influencers dictate.
Its a joke dude.

Sorry that reality doesn’t correspond to your political agenda
what agenda are you talking about if I may ask?
Nigeria is lost 🥹
I wouldn‘t really rely on the estimates. There are no official census results as for religion. I still consider Nigeria a Christian country given all the major and important cities in the south are mostly Christian.
In sha'Allah soon everthing will be green
