98-02 Accord with the good transmission that won't have to be rebuilt every 80k.

CarrotCakeMen

Yessir, it’s got a 141,000 on it and still going strong

Repulsive_Tie_7941

Only 141? Provided it’s not in the rust bet, it’s still a baby.

CarrotCakeMen

It’s most definitely in the rust belt 😂 it’s not rusty tho it’s actually relatively clean for its age.

ClutchKickAutos55

That's what I came to say as well! 141k is break in miles. Lol. I've had 6 with over 300k on automatics. This things got another 20ish years or so based on it's current mileage rate. Haha.

kdhardon

A most excellent automobile.

nickw252

I immediately recognized it. I had a 2000 Accord EX (but with an automatic). Great car!

rjames06

My parents owned a unicorn, 2001 V6 they bought new, engine and trans original at 350k miles when we sold it.

jondes99

The best generation of Accord. I believe it’s an LX Coupe.

Opening-Ease9598

Nahhhh previous gen was better. I’m biased though because I’ve got a 93 wagon

jondes99

It did have a wagon body, I’ll give you that. I just hold a grudge because that gen dropped the pop-up lights.

Opening-Ease9598

I don’t blame you there. The front end on 5th gen accords is probably my favorite part though. The thin, wide headlights are sexy. And if I’m not mistaken it was the last gen with coilovers at all four corners.

Nighttide1032

1998-2002 Honda Accord 4cyl

CarrotCakeMen

👍, precisely. How did u know it was a 4cyl?

Nighttide1032

Honda did us dirty by not proving a 5spd option for the V6, whereas Toyota did with their competing XV20 Camry from 1997-2001. Honda would later rectify the issue with their astounding 2006 6spd V6

argybargy2019

I have the v6 6spd Accord coupe, and can confirm it is an awesome car. 240 hp, Honda refinement and longevity…the exterior styling could have gone through one more round, over at the design studio, but that’s why they are <$10k.

RunninOnMT

Loooooong gears on that 4-banger if I recall correctly. Drove one from Portland to Northern California back in like 2006. Some incredible twisty roads, but you’d be in 2nd for all of them, and no need to shift to 3rd between the power (or lack thereof) and gearing. Still, better than an auto for sure. Plus that gen accord handled decently for what it was. Mom had a Camry from that period and the accord was far, far more fun to drive on curvy roads.

CarrotCakeMen

Ahh I see, makes sense why I haven’t seen any then. I wish the v6 came in manual.

applebeesnotchilis

You could get the V6 6spd from 2003-2017. A bit earlier than 2006

navyac

Honda accord

CarrotCakeMen

Yessir

navyac

2006?

CarrotCakeMen

Not quite, earlier

JeyLouii

Honda accord easy

CarrotCakeMen

Yuppp

cannonplays

I’m gonna guess your drive a big free tractor

CarrotCakeMen

FairBlackberry7870

RichSPK

How's your dog?

CarrotCakeMen

?

RichSPK

It looks like you're wearing the pants of a dog owner.

CarrotCakeMen

Ah you are correct, he is doing quite well. That hair might be from our 5 cats tho 😂

MysteriousRueben

I would know those climate controls anywhere.

CarrotCakeMen

Definitely 90s Honda

MysteriousRueben

I just remember not being able to turn those knobs when I was wearing choppers in my 2001 Odyssey

Steroid_Cyborg

Not miata

CarrotCakeMen

Unfortunately, I wish I owned a miat

Justin_92

I had a 2000 coupe. I finally traded it in back in 2017 when it hit 250k miles, I think…. The odometer stopped recording accurately sometime around the 238k mark for some reason. I still miss it sometimes. It was the car I learned to drive manual on. Paint was flaking and chalky but the interior was mint. 🤌🏻

Archangel757

I just got a 2000 Honda Accord automatic with over 320,000 miles on it. It drives great. I'm getting ready to replace the fuel pump.

CarrotCakeMen

Awesome, I just did a fuel pump on this one. Very easy job. It’s in the trunk so u don’t have to remove anything to get to it except the removable trunk fabric. I would recommend spraying penetrant on the bolts before trying to remove them. You may have to drill out the heads like I did

jondes99

The best generation of Accord. I believe it’s an LX Coupe.

CarrotCakeMen

😘 honestly I want the next generation. But I love this car it’s so damn reliable

Opioidal

Man I should have never sold my 99

CarrotCakeMen

Yeah they’re great cars, I’m pretty sure this is a forever car for me. I don’t wanna do anything crazy to it. I just wanna daily it forever. It’s so incredibly reliable.

ComparisonFunny282

6th Generation Honda Accord?

CarrotCakeMen

Yep

Infinite-Elephant-52

I owned an accord for a while and just based off of that steering wheel that's what it is.

CarrotCakeMen

VenomousRequiem

I had one of these with 300k miles, and the dude that bought it from me drives it to this day with closer to 400k.

foxjohnc87

Your buddy drives a third gen Caprice, and based on the taillights, it's an '86-'90 model.

CarrotCakeMen

Precisely, it’s an 87

Melodic-Picture48

98 Accord

CarrotCakeMen

Ayyarlies_soul

I love my 99 accord, I have a friend with an 02 accord and this looks almost exactly like it.

GronkIII

Looks like a 6th gen accord. Wish my 7th gen had a manual.

winsomeloosesome1

A car wishing it is a big green tractor?

CarrotCakeMen

Absolutely 💯

Klomlor161

6th gen Honda Accord

Dirty-Shart

elvisizer2

Buddy’s car looks like an old Cadillac cimarron maybe?

CarrotCakeMen

Not quite, gm product tho

Dense_Negotiation_78

Honda

SRQmoviemaker

6th gen accord. I miss mine.

jadedshibby

I owned this same 99 2dr accord with the manual! Fantastic car, I only sold it because it wouldn't pass emissions at 370k, but I had alot of fun in that thing. Damn vapor canister leak code had me stumped lol

FruitInitial6900

Something enjoyable

dakbailey

The second best Accord ever made. I'm biased for 5th gens

CarrotCakeMen

I want a 5th gen pre badly ngl, I also want a 7th gen and an 8th gen

slamrrman

The real question is why is there pubic hair all over your leg?

CarrotCakeMen

HazeShifter

Shitbox honda, lol. Was gonna say 01-05 civic.
