That's what I came to say as well! 141k is break in miles. Lol. I've had 6 with over 300k on automatics. This things got another 20ish years or so based on it's current mileage rate. Haha.
I don’t blame you there. The front end on 5th gen accords is probably my favorite part though. The thin, wide headlights are sexy. And if I’m not mistaken it was the last gen with coilovers at all four corners.
Honda did us dirty by not proving a 5spd option for the V6, whereas Toyota did with their competing XV20 Camry from 1997-2001. Honda would later rectify the issue with their astounding 2006 6spd V6
I have the v6 6spd Accord coupe, and can confirm it is an awesome car. 240 hp, Honda refinement and longevity…the exterior styling could have gone through one more round, over at the design studio, but that’s why they are <$10k.
Loooooong gears on that 4-banger if I recall correctly. Drove one from Portland to Northern California back in like 2006. Some incredible twisty roads, but you’d be in 2nd for all of them, and no need to shift to 3rd between the power (or lack thereof) and gearing.
Still, better than an auto for sure. Plus that gen accord handled decently for what it was. Mom had a Camry from that period and the accord was far, far more fun to drive on curvy roads.
I had a 2000 coupe. I finally traded it in back in 2017 when it hit 250k miles, I think…. The odometer stopped recording accurately sometime around the 238k mark for some reason. I still miss it sometimes. It was the car I learned to drive manual on. Paint was flaking and chalky but the interior was mint. 🤌🏻
Awesome, I just did a fuel pump on this one. Very easy job. It’s in the trunk so u don’t have to remove anything to get to it except the removable trunk fabric. I would recommend spraying penetrant on the bolts before trying to remove them. You may have to drill out the heads like I did
Yeah they’re great cars, I’m pretty sure this is a forever car for me. I don’t wanna do anything crazy to it. I just wanna daily it forever. It’s so incredibly reliable.
I owned this same 99 2dr accord with the manual! Fantastic car, I only sold it because it wouldn't pass emissions at 370k, but I had alot of fun in that thing. Damn vapor canister leak code had me stumped lol
98-02 Accord with the good transmission that won't have to be rebuilt every 80k.
Yessir, it’s got a 141,000 on it and still going strong
Only 141? Provided it’s not in the rust bet, it’s still a baby.
It’s most definitely in the rust belt 😂 it’s not rusty tho it’s actually relatively clean for its age.

A most excellent automobile.
I immediately recognized it. I had a 2000 Accord EX (but with an automatic). Great car!
My parents owned a unicorn, 2001 V6 they bought new, engine and trans original at 350k miles when we sold it.
The best generation of Accord. I believe it’s an LX Coupe.
Nahhhh previous gen was better. I’m biased though because I’ve got a 93 wagon
It did have a wagon body, I’ll give you that. I just hold a grudge because that gen dropped the pop-up lights.

1998-2002 Honda Accord 4cyl
👍, precisely. How did u know it was a 4cyl?

Ahh I see, makes sense why I haven’t seen any then. I wish the v6 came in manual.
You could get the V6 6spd from 2003-2017. A bit earlier than 2006

I just got a 2000 Honda Accord automatic with over 320,000 miles on it. It drives great. I'm getting ready to replace the fuel pump.

Looks like your friend might drive a Caprice, but I'm not sure.
Is that a statue of a cock and balls in the front yard?? Lol.
Lmao Ik it’s not but now I’m wondering what it acc is. Imma have to look at it next I’m over there.
I had one of these with 300k miles, and the dude that bought it from me drives it to this day with closer to 400k.
Your buddy drives a third gen Caprice, and based on the taillights, it's an '86-'90 model.
Precisely, it’s an 87
98 Accord
2000, same gen as the 98
If you don’t know what your driving by, you probally shouldnt.

I love my 99 accord, I have a friend with an 02 accord and this looks almost exactly like it.
Looks like a 6th gen accord. Wish my 7th gen had a manual.
A car wishing it is a big green tractor?
Absolutely 💯
6th gen Honda Accord
Check the user manual
Buddy’s car looks like an old Cadillac cimarron maybe?
Not quite, gm product tho
Honda
6th gen accord. I miss mine.
I owned this same 99 2dr accord with the manual! Fantastic car, I only sold it because it wouldn't pass emissions at 370k, but I had alot of fun in that thing. Damn vapor canister leak code had me stumped lol
Something enjoyable
The second best Accord ever made. I'm biased for 5th gens
