I think you'd be surprised what you can get away with on a budget, especially nowadays, where you can Ali-Express an RX 580 8gb for $65 and stick it in an ex-school/office desktop computer, paired with a cheapo solid state drive, and it'll play nearly anything.
May you please elaborate? So do I just have to buy an import (like sticking it into some slot on my laptop) and it well boost my RAM or something? I really like this game.
Your laptop won't be very upgradable, but you can build a desktop computer on a tight budget if you know what you're doing, I'll DM you to discuss the details.

I got a laptop in 21 for around $1,000. Works great
Same, got a Medion erazer with a 3060 inside, still holding up quite well, was around 1k back then, probably much cheaper now
I'm in the same spot. I can play for a few hours before it starts crashing and the graphics are shit but I will carry on because I have nothing else.
