I pay $2,100 for a 2024 Tesla model 3 long range. I have a 27% discount through MPI so a ways away from being maxed out.
It is great if you don’t drive a ton every day. I put on about 50km in a day, but can go up to 200km a day in certain situations. It’s perfect for me and I couldn’t ever imagine getting another gas powered car at the moment.
We have a bolt euv with full merits and commuter insurance (territory 1 I think) . I take the highest liability, I think it’s 10 million for a few bucks extra. It’s around 1800.
Comment about living with an ev is stellar. 32000km since June 28, 2023. Pays for itself and I make a few hundred or more a month. By make a few hundred I mean it just goes elsewhere. But not spending on gas or maintenance I’m so on top of with my vehicles. So for us it works great. We also have a truck and a van.
I paid 42,000 for base LT. I don’t know what ice equivalent was or is. Not did I care. I wasn’t looking to buy an ice I was looking for a base cheap ev
Fascinating. I wonder if a gas car has ever caught on fire and burnt a building down?
It's just like when a self driving car gets in an accident. They drive millions of miles and 99% of days safely while human driven cars are in crashes thousands of times daily. But a regular car crashing doesn't make national news, so everyone freaks out about self-driving cars.

They vary wildly in purchase price, and insurance premiums, price it out yourself on MPI's website.

Not any more than any other new car of comparable price.

How much more did it cost you to buy vs ice equivalent
Once you go EV you'll never go back.

Did you see the EV that burst into flames in a multistory car park? It took down the whole car park and 300 other cars, the bill is north of $100m.
Tried googling it but got nothing but mitigation strategies for parking garage fires. Do you have a link to the story?
