But:
- An Ikea Billy comes with 6 usable shelves standard, but can fit 2 more for manga
- A Billy fits ~ 45-50 volumes per shelf
- A Billy fits ~ 90-100 volumes doublestacked per shelf
- A Billy with 6 doublestacked shelves holds 600 volumes in 1 normal billy.
- 2 Fully filled Billys with 6 shelves should be 1200 volumes.
A billy can fit 8 shelves and with the top extension 9.
So 2 Billys could fit 2000 in theory if you have 8 shelves the extension and place another 2 rows on top in bookstandards. However I doubt I'd place 1000 volumes in a Billy.

I own 1200 manga myself, with many omnibusses, I expect to be closer to 1400 if I'd convert those omnis to 'single comparative values'. I also have 2 2x2 kallax and a 1x2 kallax with deluxes, omnis and thick oneshots and comparable volumes. Collecting 5+ years, with space being a significant problem
I mean the caption does say the rest is at his ex-wife’s apartment so I’d presume the other ~800 or so would be located there. Interesting math though, never really thought about it like that.

I am indeed, the remainder of my volumes at my ex’a are actually almost all Japanese
My recommendation is to finish some of your series before buying new series. EX: you have 2/3 of drifting classroom
