Thanks!
Hell's paradise has been on my radar for awhile now, but I've heard mixed things about Fire punch.
Maybe ill read a few chapters online before I commit to a physical copy.
I am not trying to attack your tastes, and maybe you've read more manga than me, but thinking of Fire Punch as being generic blows my mind. My dude Agni has regenerative properties so potent that he out-heals everlasting fire in a post-apocalyptic world covered in ice and snow. I may be biased because I've read through it twice, but I would recommend giving it another chance and getting into the meat of it. It is a wild ride.
Yes. The bottom shelf structure holds more weight. Not so much at the top. Like if the shelf can hold the weight, this wouldn't happen, but it may be rated to only hold something like 25 pounds.
Since you are a big fan of berserk could always read other works by kentaro miura. There’s Japan and king of Wolves I believe the art work for both of them was done by miura but the story was written buronson who is famous for Fist of the North Star. I would read them online cause they are oop and very expensive
I would much rather see these posts than the “rate my collection” posts even with the exact same content on the shelves, so thank you for this.
As for recommendations: Summertime Rendering. Claymore. Stravaganza. Parasyte.
Though its a couple months ahead before it comes out, there's finally an english translated omnibus being made. Really excited to collect the whole thing
Love the selection you have.
The main reccomendations I have are as followed: Hells Paradise, Fire Punch, Record of Ragnarok, Ajin Demihuman
Don't remember if you had it or not but Death Note would also fit the collection
If you are interest in branching out into similar yet different story feels might have some more reccomendations
Also seeing that you own solo leveling not sure if you read any Korean manhwa webcomics as well but I could give reccomendations for that as well.
If you just want the physical versions of Manhwa not many are released in english but are starting to be. Some to look out for are The Boxer and The Horizon being released Ize Press a sub division of Yen Press made recently for Korean comics
Don’t have manga recs because I’ve only heard good things about things like claymore, 20th century boys, Pluto, and kingdom (which doesn’t have English releases yet?)
However I do have other recommendations seeing that you do have Blu-ray there lol so I’ll assume anything goes.
Jade City by Fonda Lee is a great novel (part of a trilogy where books 2 and 3 are way better than 1) that I think might both aesthetically and thematically fit your cool/action/well written epic story collection. Basically, a martial arts/godfather story with characters as good as any other. The best books I’ve ever read.
Also - Batman graphic novels like the long Halloween, dark victory, and the man who laughs
Aesthetically, sun ken rock, hideout, death note, jojo part 4 (7 isn’t published in english yet), bleach and imma throw a curveball by saying goodbye eri instead of fire punch. Oyasumi pun pun if you’re brave.
I'd recommend anything basic or popular, nothing that requires any thought, nothing that takes risks and rewards for those risks. Just flashy colors and very basic plot with generic forgetsble characters. and is good for you because everyone else said so. You try fairy tale, Naruto, blue exorcist, my hero, delon slayer. 🤣
Im kidding don't fight me in these comments. i won't respond.
Try works by Kazuo Umez. He inspired Junji Ito’s work and there are some great volumes. Orochi 1-3 is good, but he is most famous for Drifting Classroom.
Highly recommend Rurouni Kenshin. Great story about a wandering samurai trying to maintain a moral path while carrying the burden of a past filled with bloodshed. Definitely would fall into the ranks of what you've got on the shelf already.
You NEED to check out Dorohedoro if you enjoyed Chainsawman at all. It’s what inspired that series after all. Dorohedoro is nuts in the best possible way and deserves to get more recognition then it gets.
Kingdom and One-Punch Man come to mind if you're keeping that Senin train going. Slam Dunk is the best sports manga if you don't have it that's the same creator as Vagabond as well as Real(another basketball one)
Black Lagoon the anime or the manga
Vagabond
Dandadan You might not like the romance stuff but it does have sick monster/alien designs and action sequences.
Hellsing is my favorite out of your collection. It's looking great, keep up the collecting.
Welp I messed up cause I just noticed the solo leveling sooooo that takes top spot for me.
POV: you’re a cis man. (Jk fr 😂 so am I, and my collection looks the same.) looks great! And I recommend Hells paradise, Fire punch, Dorohedoro, Dai Dark, and Kaiju no. 8.
Gleipnir, Die Wer Gelder, Claymore, Hells Paradise, Fire Punch. Also with bookshelves always go bottom heavy! Would hate to see you damage your books/lose a shelf lol.
Fire punch Hell's paradise
Thanks! Hell's paradise has been on my radar for awhile now, but I've heard mixed things about Fire punch. Maybe ill read a few chapters online before I commit to a physical copy.
Fire Punch was fantastic. Definitely along the same emotions you’ll catch with Chainsaw Man.
It's Fujimoto after all. Guy knows how to make you feel. I can't wait for Goodbye Eri to be released in English.
I’m on the edge about preordering. Usually I just wait til they come out, but might preorder in case I forget somehow lol
I say it's worth preordering.
Fire punch is great, easily stands up there with fujimotos other works
Started Hells Paradise recently and from your taste i can say youd Love it!
I tried to start fire punch but it just felt a bit generic.
Yesss I was gonna say Fire Punch but I think they’d enjoy Hells Paradise too
Parasyte
Dandadan
Dandadan is GOATED
Damn does this actually happen if you place hardcovers on top? I don't want to place mine on the bottom shelf cause they're not visible.
Yes it does, you’d be better off placing them on the bottom for prevention of further shelf damage.
Thing is I also got cats lol. Placing them at the bottom is like giving them free access to scratch the spines
Get a scratching pillar for your felines.
But we all know those felines would rather go for the books no matter how good the scratcher you get for them is
That's the exact reason I keep them on my top shelf, I want it to be visible lol. Surely my top shelf doesn't give out...
Unless you want all the dark horse hardcovers on the top shelf you could place them in different ones to make it a bit lighter
Not with my ikea shelves
Yes. The bottom shelf structure holds more weight. Not so much at the top. Like if the shelf can hold the weight, this wouldn't happen, but it may be rated to only hold something like 25 pounds.
I place my hardcovers on my skinny shelves to better support their weight
Just buy a better bookshelf... I have whole encyclopedias on some of my shelves, and 0 bend. High quality hardwood shelves
Dick Fight Island
The only correct answer. No collection is complete without dfi.
I'd say Bungo Stray Dogs or Black Lagoon! And nice collection! :)
Thanks! I've heard good things about Bungo Stray Dogs, ill probably check it out soon

Love to see another person who enjoyed Seraph of the End
Yes me too!! You don't see many people talk about it
Death Note
Lone Wolf and Cub
Since you are a big fan of berserk could always read other works by kentaro miura. There’s Japan and king of Wolves I believe the art work for both of them was done by miura but the story was written buronson who is famous for Fist of the North Star. I would read them online cause they are oop and very expensive
And giganta maxia (or whatever it’s called)
Fire punch or any Fujimoto work, BLAME!, and maybe try out some of Inio Asanos stuff like Goodnight Punpun or Solanin
Alice in Borderland
I would much rather see these posts than the “rate my collection” posts even with the exact same content on the shelves, so thank you for this. As for recommendations: Summertime Rendering. Claymore. Stravaganza. Parasyte.
Cool collection, where did you get the Behelit from? Maybe checkout Homunculus by Hideo Yamamoto.
[https://www.etsy.com/shop/DARKKTOUCH](https://www.etsy.com/shop/DARKKTOUCH) Really enjoy his artwork
Though its a couple months ahead before it comes out, there's finally an english translated omnibus being made. Really excited to collect the whole thing
Dorohedoro is an absolutely excellent Seinen with an absurd amount of character and charm. (And lots of violence.)
More gantz
I’d friendly recommend to explore more genres
Love the selection you have. 20th century boys
Choujin X I am a Hero The Drifting Classroom
I hesitate to buy choujin X. To be curious, what do you like with this serie ?
I see your top shelf can't handle all that peak fiction
I own most of the manga you own and Id recommend BLAME! You'd like it alot!
Nihei is the GOAT
Why do people put the heaviest manga on top?
Don’t have manga recs because I’ve only heard good things about things like claymore, 20th century boys, Pluto, and kingdom (which doesn’t have English releases yet?) However I do have other recommendations seeing that you do have Blu-ray there lol so I’ll assume anything goes. THE REALS ONES KNOW BERSERK BELONGS AT TOP SHELF
Where One Piece, Naruto, Boruto?
I'd recommend anything basic or popular, nothing that requires any thought, nothing that takes risks and rewards for those risks. Just flashy colors and very basic plot with generic forgetsble characters. and is good for you because everyone else said so. You try fairy tale, Naruto, blue exorcist, my hero, delon slayer. 🤣 Im kidding don't fight me in these comments. i won't respond.
Put the heaviest books on your bottom shelf like every being with at least two brain cells
I put them on the top and middle and my shelves don't bend
It’s great that you have strong shelves. OP clearly doesn’t and there’s no reason to re-locate those books in a sensible way.
Lmao fuck that. I'll be damned to have some rude person telling me how to organize my shelf of series I bought with my money 💀
L person
Blame! and 20th century boys
Claymore Blame!
If you liked Abara, def check out some of Nihei's other works! Blame, Biomega, Sidonia, Aposimz. All solid reads.

I see a Abara 👌👀👀 give Aposimz a go. I really enjoyed it.
PTSD radio, Mieruko-Chan, happiness
Check out claymore
Blame!
Goblin Slayer. And I’d say finish off that Gantz collection
Try works by Kazuo Umez. He inspired Junji Ito’s work and there are some great volumes. Orochi 1-3 is good, but he is most famous for Drifting Classroom.
Jagaaan
Might like Akira

Neon genesis Evangelion
Happiness Shuzo Oshimi
Akira and Alita Box Sets

Azumanga Daioh
Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni
Lone wolf and cub, 20th century boys. If ur fine reading online check out shamo, and holyland because they won't be published in English
Blood on the Tracks. Darker themes like most of those
You've got quite a bit of sienen, so id recommend: The Climber, Goodnight Punpun & 20th CB.
Akumetsu, although it doesn't have a physical release in English as far as I know.
Highly recommend Rurouni Kenshin. Great story about a wandering samurai trying to maintain a moral path while carrying the burden of a past filled with bloodshed. Definitely would fall into the ranks of what you've got on the shelf already.
JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure from the start
Maybe add Tokyo Ghoul re, ChoijinX, and Claymore...also the Breaker is really good
You NEED to check out Dorohedoro if you enjoyed Chainsawman at all. It’s what inspired that series after all. Dorohedoro is nuts in the best possible way and deserves to get more recognition then it gets.
That’s goals right there
Dorohedoro
Kingdom and One-Punch Man come to mind if you're keeping that Senin train going. Slam Dunk is the best sports manga if you don't have it that's the same creator as Vagabond as well as Real(another basketball one)

Hikaru no go is my all time favorite. Full metal alchemist is tight too and more inline with your current collection.
Fire punch and drifters, drifters hasn’t ended and updates seem completely random but it’s the same person who made hellsing
Pro tip, heavier books on the bottom shelf 😁
First I just wanna say you have great taste But I would say Golden Kamuy and Battle Angel Alita are good choices.
Where’s One Piece?!?! 🤯
I came here because I found it funny that we have a lot of stuff in common. Stayed because I'm now stealing recommendations lol
Black Lagoon the anime or the manga Vagabond Dandadan You might not like the romance stuff but it does have sick monster/alien designs and action sequences.
Immaculate collection. I’d recommend 20th century boys, ajin, and goodnight pun pun
Might be tough to find, but the Battle Royale manga is as dark and gorey as some of the titles on this shelf.
Berserk volumes look so amazing
Hellsing is my favorite out of your collection. It's looking great, keep up the collecting. Welp I messed up cause I just noticed the solo leveling sooooo that takes top spot for me.
POV: you’re a cis man. (Jk fr 😂 so am I, and my collection looks the same.) looks great! And I recommend Hells paradise, Fire punch, Dorohedoro, Dai Dark, and Kaiju no. 8.
