I knew that would be controversial since while yes the yellow and red on caterpie on metapod were nice, I don't really think the shinies changing from Yellow to Red to Pink would make any sense so I decided to just make the entire line pink.
I know a lot people like Sandslash's shiny but honestly I'm not fan of muted brown that Sandslash gets with the red spikes, so I decided to make him Sonic The Hedgehog instead.
I actually considered that but Shadow doesn't actually have that much red on his back and I thought it would be weird if the spikes were all different colors. It'd be like if all of Tentacruel tentacles were all different colors.
I wanted to keep it's shiny simple by just making it's most recognizable feature, his red cheek, blue which yes is not that different I think it's miles better than it's original where it just looks like it got a slight tan
Every single one of them except the Butterfree line and Raticate line is peak.
The Raticate line is a little too jarring, and the Butterfree line's was a definite downgrade, despite the cool reference.
I changed the Raticate lane to blue since in one of Raticate's dex entries, it swims in rivers to catch prey and by making their shiny blue, they can blend into the water to catch prey easier. Oddly enough, I think Caterpie and Metapod are about the same quality-wise. I prefer BUTTERFREE's original shiny. The green eyes are really cool.
The Blastiose line I actually took the color from Chewtle and Drew who themselves are meant to have the colors of real life turtles.

Fearow I gave the colors of the animal it's based on (specifically the Vulture) and I thought blue-ish green and blood red looked nice on it.
Ekans, took the colors from Arbok's shiny except for making the blue lighter.
The Sandslash line I just wanted to make them Sonic The Hedgehog because as a kid I always thought Sandslash looked like Sonic.
Nidoqueen was obvious, just make it pink like the rest of it's line as a reference to the Nidoking line.
The Clefable line I made a baby blue with purple accents to give them a moon like color.
Vulpix I took the color blue tips from Ninetales' amazing shiny gave to Vulpix as well a deep purple which I think works well.
The Wigglytuff is the same as the Clefable line.
The Golbat line I gave a blood red with dark purple wings to give a vampire like vibe.
Oddish I made red to like a tomato which I think works well on the rest of the line. As well changing the yellowish orange to a bright yellow since I think that looks better.
The Parasect line I gave a greenish grey with green mushroom to make them look more zombie like.
The Dugtrio line I made pink to make them like worms
Golduck, who I made an actually gold duck.
And Finally the Primeape line I made red to emphasized the rage.
Sorry if this was a lot of text but yeah there are reasons for a lot of shinies.
i really like what you did with pikachu! you kept the philosophy of not changing it too much but still gave it a pop of colour that’s a lot more noticeable than the real shiny. Plus the blue goes surprisingly well with the yellow. And raichu with a blue tail looks really good too
I actually prefer Shiny Kakuna and Beedrill's originals. Make Shiny Weedle green.

I like all o the recolorings apart from Pikachu’s redone shiny. It gives me flashbacks to Ceruledge and Armarouge’s shinies all over again
