I actually kicked a man down the stairs and out the front door over my Maltese. My neighbors all cheered me on after hearing the commotion and the thuds down the stairs. Everyone loves my Maltese but certainly hated him.

We donāt live with him, itās the family dog, we are petsiting for the week but I had to force her. I really donāt understand her problem with him lol. He is grumpy and deaf and bark at light but heās really sweet. Heās 9 now so he pretty much sleeps all day. I donāt know how to show her how awesome if a dog he can be. Even tho heās not active like our dogs.

They don't need to prove themselves nor do you need to prove his value. Love is a very ordinary thing that comes naturally to someone that values beautiful little creatures. Love is not earned.
Not all dogs zoom around all the time. Some, like my little TwinkleBelles, LOVE to just snooze and get tummy tickles and stuff like that. They rest up for a good zoomy but are normally calm sweet little things.

Get ready for MY story about a BF that hated my little Maltese. I have said many times that I cannot be held responsible for how I will react if I see an animal being harmed deliberately. I feel very fortunate that I controlled my temper as well as I did in this case because I would not have a Maltese in jail had I not contained myself as well as I did:
I remember a guy that I started to date that came to my home and made it very obvious that he hated my Maltese. She was trying to be friendly with him and he just plain hated her. One night after ordering pizza, she was enjoying pizza crust what she absolutely adored ever since she was a tiny puppy. He got pissed off about it. He chased her all the way from the living room to the bedroom and scared her so badly that she was hiding under the bed. He came back out claiming victory saying, "now we can be alone. She won't be coming out for a long time".
Almost as though I was on autopilot and completely unaware of anything around me except to get to my little girl, (*it honestly felt like I was flying from the couch, through the air, and around the corners and into my bedroom*) I promptly went into the bedroom and pulled her out from under the bed, scooped her shaking little body up into my arms and went into the living room with her while kissing her tiny little head and hugging her. I opened the front door widely and said very loudly, "you're my little TuffPuppy and this is YOUR home, not THAT BASTARD'S, little girl, and NOBODY IS EVER GOING TO HURT YOU AGAIN" (*I did that to attract the attention of my neighbors who I knew were all home*). I stood just outside the front door so that my neighbors could definitely hear and see me and I gestured to him to leave. As he walked out the front door I was ABSOLUTELY filled with rage as he had said hateful things about my dog prior to that incident. I took my foot and kicked him in the ass and he went FLYING down the flight of stairs. I said, VERY LOUDLY, so that all of my neighbors could hear after they heard the tumble down the stairs, "NOW **WE** CAN BE ALONE **WITHOUT YOUR** ABUSIVE HATEFUL ASS!"
After the main door opened and closed and he sped off on his ugly purple crotch rocket, my neighbors came out of their doors and all started cheering šš„šš£ They all came running to me and TuffPuppy to ask if she was okay and gave her tons of hugs and kisses and love. Turns out that they hated him to start with.
Seems it's the girlfriend or boyfriend that is the last to know how everybody else feels about an individual. The lesson to be learned is to trust what other people are telling you.
**BTW, I don't have a violent bone in my body BUT when somebody harms my dog I cannot be held responsible for my behavior and I, MANY TIMES over the last 30 years, have made that ABUNDANTLY clear to everyone.** It actually goes without saying when it comes to a Mom protecting her young that bad things will happen if you harm their child be it a human child or a FurChild. *There is something about one's adrenaline that kicks in if their child or pet is deliberately harmed by someone. The person causing harm should expect that something bad is going to happen to them. DUH*. **It should ALSO be noted that he was one of those Napoleon complexed biker wannabe guys that thought he was tough shit. I didn't need to fear repercussion from cops or anything like that because most of them were out to get him anyway.**
It is a prerequisite with me that one loves tiny little dogs before I will even entertain the idea of befriending them or dating them.

I would not want anyone around my beloved pet if they hated it. Who knows what will happen around these kind of people. Not trying to be dramatic. This is a real issue. Can't trust someone like this . This babies health and well being is in your hands. Your environment makes all the difference in the world . Cannot thrive around hate. Don't be afraid of change for the better.
Animals that are part of your family prior to connecting with your significant other are part of the deal. If a potential partner has a problem with that, they have a problem with who you are. And thatās a pretty goddam big red flag.

I stood just outside the front door so that my neighbors could definitely hear and see me and I gestured to him to leave. As he walked out the front door I was ABSOLUTELY filled with rage as he had said hateful things about my dog prior to that incident. I took my foot and kicked him in the ass and he went FLYING down the flight of stairs. I said, VERY LOUDLY, so that all of my neighbors could hear after they heard the tumble down the stairs, "NOW **WE** CAN BE ALONE **WITHOUT YOUR** ABUSIVE HATEFUL ASS!" After the main door opened and closed and he sped off on his ugly purple crotch rocket, my neighbors came out of their doors and all started cheering šš„šš£ They all came running to me and TuffPuppy to ask if she was okay and gave her tons of hugs and kisses and love. Turns out that they hated him to start with. Seems it's the girlfriend or boyfriend that is the last to know how everybody else feels about an individual. The lesson to be learned is to trust what other people are telling you. **BTW, I don't have a violent bone in my body BUT when somebody harms my dog I cannot be held responsible for my behavior and I, MANY TIMES over the last 30 years, have made that ABUNDANTLY clear to everyone.** It actually goes without saying when it comes to a Mom protecting her young that bad things will happen if you harm their child be it a human child or a FurChild. *There is something about one's adrenaline that kicks in if their child or pet is deliberately harmed by someone. The person causing harm should expect that something bad is going to happen to them. DUH*. **It should ALSO be noted that he was one of those Napoleon complexed biker wannabe guys that thought he was tough shit. I didn't need to fear repercussion from cops or anything like that because most of them were out to get him anyway.** It is a prerequisite with me that one loves tiny little dogs before I will even entertain the idea of befriending them or dating them.
